They should rename their company Dunn Wrong, they are rude, disrespectful and should get customer service training if they want to stay in business. My a/c went out in this summer heat and I have a newborn grandson at home that had surgery. Everyone knows that newborn babies and elderly (me) if overheated can die, so I called my home warranty and and told them it was urgent, the next day dunn rite called and the rudeness began, they said earliest appt in one week, I begged them to come sooner for the baby's sake, they lacked any care or compassion, I agreed to take the appointment . So i used a window a/c unit to keep the baby cool and bought a bunch of fans for the rest of the house. I took off work for the appointment and waited for a 4 hour window i contacted them to see if they were on their way and they said they came two hours earlier and left. They said the technician saw all the cars in the driveway and knew someone was home and heard the dog barking as he knocked. I did answer the door when I heard the dog barking and no one was there. When I said that I took off work to wait for them, and they should have called me from the front door, they said I should have answered the door and said they sent a text 20 minutes prior to arrival, I didn't see the text until after they told me about it and it was a weird area code and said hey Harry so I thought it was something for my husband when I later looked. They were so rude and refused to give me their names or let me talk to a supervisor, I asked them to come back out today as it was urgent, they offered to come the next day but I can't take off work again, and I told them that I work in business and I would never be so rude to customers and they should be nicer to people and they said they weren't going to let me tell them how to run their business and hung up. I called the home warranty company and the home warranty company called them and they wouldn't answer them either and the home warranty said the contractor cancelled my service order. So Dunn rite doesn't care about people , in southern california where it is hot and people really desperately need their a/c to work. I urged the home warranty company to remove them from their list of contractors because they have many bad reviews. I really hope they take this review to heart and get customer service training and try to provide excellent service. I hope the owner Doug reads this, I don't do business with companies that don't even have decent manners. Why would anyone do business with anyone that is mean to them? They may have good technical skills but I won't find out, can't get past the office staff. If they had not been so rude and talk back and sassy like a little kid, then maybe I would have given them a chance to come back tommorrow, but instead they get a bad review, I also look for the good in people and rarely give a bad review but the office staff deserve it.

If your home warranty assigned this company to you and you don't want to be scammed, please contact the home warranty immediately to change to another company.

My heating was reported to the home warranty due to no hot air, they arranged four times to come to my house for repair, each time they took a part away to replace. Now the situation is that my heating is not only not repaired, but my air conditioning control panel is also not displayed, so my heating and air conditioning are not available.

The last time the worker came to my house, he left after ten minutes and said he had to go to get accessories, but soon I received a message from the home warranty's system saying that my repair work had been completed. I left a message on Facebook to ask about this confusion, but the result of the home warranty's re-verification with the contractor was that the repair was completed and they are ready to get the money from home warranty. Now I have to explain the situation to my home warranty again and ask them to repair the mess left by this company.

This company, with no credit, has only one purpose-to get money from the home warranty, has no interest in repairing the equipment in your home, and will deceive the home warranty and customers in order to achieve this purpose.

Edit: 100% I was told that. The team that showed up 2 weeks later to replace my system was shocked in the condition it was left and told me it was bleeding me money and had already leaked out almost everything pumped into it prior. There was no saving this system.

Horrible and cost me hundreds of dollars. Was forced to use this company through my Homeowner's Insurance and it literally cost me over $600 because these guys put a bandaid on the problem while knowing it was still broken. Literally a week after their solution had already failed I had to call professionals to replace my unit. These guys KNEW it had a catastrophic leak and needed to be replaced but literally told me ""if I can't fix it I'm fired so you're not getting a new unit.""

This company was referred to me by FAHW. Apparently they don't work on Saturdays like most HVAC companies and are extremely slow to respond if you are even able to contact them. Don't get this tech named Jay. Jay is the most incompetent and dangerous tech out there. Instead of reporting a referral to heating unit to FAHW, he recommends denying. Endangering not only the family in the unit, but also to the surrounding ones, as the heating continues to be broken and left in the on position.

3/17/23--FAHW sent another company to this property in question today. The problem was fixed. No excuses. No incompetence. Just done correctly. I stand by my original review.

The technician Jay has assisted me twice now with an AC issue and replacing my thermostat. He's been great each visit and works quietly and efficiently. My complaints aren't with him. The issue I have is with how unresponsive this company is. After being provided with an estimate on a Monday that the new thermostat would be replaced later in the week like Friday, it wasn't until more than two weeks later that I finally heard from Dunn Rite to schedule a follow up visit. Mind you, that was after sending multiple emails, texts, and calling daily and leaving voice messages. The company is extremely elusive and difficult to communicate with.

I got stuck with them because First American Home Warranty forced me to use them as part of my so-called ""coverage.""
They left a voicemail when I could not answer - I was at work. I called back for two days and left messages (a Thursday and a Friday, not holiday) they never returned the call. When I called the home warranty co and complained, then Dunn-Wrong called, and said ""they had an emergency and had to close down Thursday afternoon."" (Sounded like an ""extended weekend"" emergency."") Problem was, no apology, just stating, in a rude tone of voice, that they had a good reason for not returning my call. It continues, they NEVER answer their phone, (even when they're not away for an extended ""weekend emergency."") You leave message after message, then after a day or two, a rude person calls back and tells you if you're lucky, when you'll get a service call.
It goes on and on from there. I cancelled the home warranty policy that forced me to use them.
I'll admit, this is one of those reviews that don't tell you much, since most of their other reviews.......are about the same.

Life is WAY to short to tolerate the rude and unpleasant way the scheduler (and only person you get to talk to, when she decides to grace you with a return call) treats you. Thank goodness there are WAY NICER and WAY BETTER companies.

This company came out through our home warranty for a free heating check. Our heater didn't have a problem but it was a free check. The technician said all looks good and he left. After he left, we tried to turn on the heater and it would not turn on. I contacted the company 22 times to get them to come back out and they completely ignored me. Still unresolved.

This is ridiculous ! Waited all week without a heater and cold temperatures !.... Service guy shows up this morning to fix everything and was given the wrong part. Rather than come back this afternoon with the correct part, or tomorrow....you say some time next week. First American and everyone else needs to use another heating company !!!
