D'Spain Sales & Service, Inc. Wiley and Lois D'Spain established D'Spain Sales and Service in Bandera, TX in 1974, after they accepted an invitation to purchase the HVAC, appliance services, and water systems units from the Langford Hardware and Lumber Company, where Wiley had served for 10 years. In the beginning, Wiley had an innate aptitude for all things mechanically inclined and a true love for windmills, having grown up on a farm in a adjacent county. Lois grew up in northeast Texas and eventually settled to Bandera after a delightful visit one summer. She and Wiley had been in union for 23 years before starting the operation. Wiley managed all of the AC, appliance services, and groundwater product sales and support, while Lois managed all the financial practices. Spending late evenings and Saturdays and Sundays after her full-time job, Lois handled all the financial and bookkeeping practices of the company.

As a manager within the business, he encourages and recognizes his team for each credential they achieve. He and his technicians participate in ongoing professional development required by the state. In 1983, we transferred to our present site at 804 11th in Bandera, TX. Relocating into the 3,500 sq ft building gave us the extra floor space necessary to store and offer more services to our customers, as well as a tailored water system planning department to assist landowners, growers, and residents.
