When I managed a large commercial property in Oakland's Fruitvale District that had been recently purchased by an out-of-state corporation, Chad came highly recommended by another property management company to run PSL testing to obtain a Compliance Certificate from EBMUD. After evaluation, it turned out to be a much larger project than anticipated, being that the commercial property was 91 years old. As Chad and his crew began their pre-scheduled work that required some excavation, 5 to 10 ft down from the building, the sidewalk and out into the street on International Blvd, they suddenly found themselves working in the middle of chaos! Police, firemen and multiple press crews from various news stations, as well as curious bystanders, suddenly appeared, emerging upon and around them due to the Ghost Ship fire that was happening almost across the street, but having the best vantage point to report from. However, in spite of the multitude of distractions all around them, they continued to work diligently and professionally, remaining on track, and completed the work as promised, on a timely basis, in spite of all the people and non-stop activity surrounding them. The tenants were able to return, open their businesses and were restored full use of the building's plumbing without hardly skipping a beat! All well within the time frame Chad had originally provided without any knowledge of the sad set of events that had transpired and was transpiring as they prepped the area for the work they had contracted to do. The BEST part...his bid to do this job was way below what his competitors had quoted, each describing almost identical tasks to be done! His company and the services they provided maintained an excellent level of professionalism throughout. Whether your needs are large or small they come HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a great experience using Drainline. I needed a sewer lateral replaced in Oakland. Their quote was the best, they pulled permits and were ready to do the job in one week. On the day of the job, they had the manpower and machinery necessary to do a tough job. The sewer main was 8-9 feet under the road surface, my old lateral was broken, and there was a gas line right above the main that added further complexity. They successfully negotiated all of the hazards and completed the work to the satisfaction of EBMUD and City of Oakland inspectors. Add me to the list of satisfied clients.

Chad is a great guy and will do his best to complete the job if he knows he can. He will not do something he feels might be problematic to save everyone stress. I would recommend him for drain line work and clogs.

Chad was very knowledgable explaining all the aspects of the pending sewer lateral replacement required in Oakland before my parent's home could be sold. His price beat everyone else's. His crew showed up on time and worked well as a team. I'm glad I found them.

As good as it gets! Had one big chain company come and clear a clog in my main sewer line in front of the house, after coming out 4 times and paying for one inspection i was quoted an obscene price for a not-so-complicated job.
I then contacted several other companies and decided to go with Drainline Plumbing and Sewer Specialist and an extremely happy with the choice! I was quoted a competitive price and was treated as an emergency case due to the frequency of clogs. They ended up coming out this morning at 10 and were back-filling the hole by 11! Looking outside i cant even tell that they came except for the brand new clean out; and the ease of mind not having to worry every time i flush the toilet or do laundry.
I cant thank Chad and his team enough! Great work!

We had a good experience with Chad from Drainline. He was very prompt in answering our emails and texts. He completed our sewer lateral in timely matter.

I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this company and the contractor Chad. Chad started off playing the nice guy. He replaced our sewer lateral line that ended having leaks 8 months later. But when we call him back to do corrections that his company did, he went ballastic on us. Took him a week to come visit after several calls. Very unstable and offensive individual. He even threatened to get physical. After that altercation, I decided to not have him at my home. Ended up hiring another company to fix his faulty work.

We were told by another plumber that snaked a clog for us that we had a broken pipe, he also told us that our lateral sewer lines ran to the front of the house. He was not willing to touch it. So, two years later we are in a position to get it taken care of. We found Chad on Home Advisor. He came out at the promised time, had the proper sized camera to be able to see what was going on down there. Turns out the lateral line does not run to the front of our home but to the side (we are on a corner). Also, there was no break, per se. There was however, rotting cast iron pipes and a leak where the lateral line from the back unit joins the main house.
Long story short, Chad and his crew did a great job. He absorbed the cost of the additional labor that was not anticipated (had to dig an additional 5+ foot long trench). They did a great job cleaning up. And if we had known that he gives a discount to cash/check paying customers, we would have taken advantage of it! Definitely will use his company again.

My experience with this company and mainly the owner were awful and a complete ripoff. I needed them to put in a simple ice cube maker water line. I spoke to the owner and made sure he understood i have galv piping for water and he quoted a price. He sent someone out and as soon as the tech showed up he was trying to charge me more and told me it wasn't worth his time to put this in for me. So i had him call the owner and verify the pricing. The tech ran up to ace for parts and got to work. After a very short amount of time he came back to me saying, ""all finished"". So i go right to the waterline and notice that there is no water pressure. He starts making excuses about how there isn't anything he can do about it. So i sent him away. The next day i called the owner and explained the problem. We quickly talked and he said he would look into it and call me back. He never bothered to call me back so i started communicating by email. And the owner did the same thing the tech did by making excuses and eventually decided it wasn't worth his time to fix the problem he started. The bottom line is that instead of installing the line properly the tech just went up to ace and picked up a PinHole type valve which doesn't work on galv piping. I made it clear at the time of the quote which was from the owner that he understood that i had galv piping. This is a complete bait and switch operation with extremely bad ownership. Stay away from this company!!!

We just moved into our house after a year of remodeling. The first time I did the laundry, our bathtubs and sinks backed up with sewage. Talk about panic. We had a plumber come out immediately. He could not snake the main line because of tree roots. He charged us to camera the line and quoted us an insane amount to fix the spot.
Chad was our third quote. He did not charge to camera the line and gave us a free quote. His quote was half the amount of the first quote and cheaper than my second quote. He was so knowledgeable and patiently explained the whole process to me. I now know more about trenchless sewer lines and sewers than I ever care to LOL. He is a super busy guy but he was able to do the emergency repair for me rather quickly then come back to finish off the full project. We had opted to get our sewer line replaced completely with the trenchless versus just fixing the one clay spot due to all the trees in our backyard. We didn't want to deal with another clog/sewer repair anytime soon.
Anyways, if I could give him 10 stars I would. Super nice guy, hard working employees, best price. He didn't even collect a deposit from me after the emergency repair. We didn't have to pay him until all the work was completely done. Everything was permitted so you know they don't Mickey Mouse around.
Thank you Chad and your hard working guys! I have working sewer!!
