I hired Kevin of Drain Science based on his excellent Yelp reviews and he was everything I had hoped from the experience. I had serious water temperature issues in a new bathroom due to a less than successful renovation. I had spoken with several plumbers, one of whom said they could install a new water line for $3-4k. Kevin first analyzed the issue over the phone and determined the problem was likely a safety feature in one of the fixtures. He was right and temperature problem solved.

I also talked to Kevin about the room staying cold and he observed that the new baseboard heater wasn't producing adequate heat. When I said I had an extra cast iron radiator removed from the renovation, he agreed we could replace the baseboard with the original radiator which he did yesterday. i couldn't be happier with the result.
Kevin is efficient, communicative and an excellent analyst of plumbing problems. I am beyond satisfied and highly recommend his services.

He's extremely knowledgeable about plumbing and always prompt in getting work done at very reasonable prices.

I recently contacted him to replace a toilet in our first floor powder room and it couldn't have been an easier process- we'll be replacing some more toilets in the near future.

Kevin replaced two sump pumps, installed a water backup, unclogged a drain, and fixed two toilets all for an extremely fair price! He was punctual, professional, and did excellent work. He returned my call promptly and scheduled service quickly. He is the owner of the business and also the technician so there is no confusion about what was discussed during a consultation call and then what will be done during the service call as can happen with bigger organizations. I cannot recommend him enough! Thank you, Drain Science!!

Great work. Reasonable price. Is a real licensed plumber who knows what he's doing. Lots of fly by night plumbing companies that hire people who don't know anything. I had a leaky faucet & the 1st plumber said I needed to replace the entire faucet (!! it was a Pfister). He was a very nice guy - recent immigrant from Cambodia w/ a math degree working for a friend - but didn't know how these fancy new faucets work (the design of new plumbing fixtures is a separate issue). Found Kevin & he told us how to order the necessary cartridge from Amazon & installed it after it was delivered. Today, he came & snaked the kitchen drain (we're letting too much grease & food go down drain).

I see one bad review & all the others are 5 stars (like mine).

I hate calling the big plumbing companies: you call in, talk to a dispatcher who doesn't know plumbing but does schedule and send out a plumber. The plumber reports to an owner who makes the rules (and takes a chunk of the revenue).

Kevin is all three; he's the whole company--he answers the phone (his cell), schedules himself for the appointment, and then does the work.

He even has an email address and sends his invoice electronically (or accepts payment by check if you prefer). I paid by ApplePay!

His rates were very reasonable (for plumbers)--$140 for our admittedly fairly quick and easy job, including parts and labor.

I don't have a sense if he'd be the right guy for a big job--quite possibly yes--but he seems like the kind of person who would tell you right away if he was out of his league.

Anyway, just wanted to spread the word!

Drain science was good but Kevin came a mos ago to fix something. He ordered a part and has since not responded to any texts or phone calls to follow up. He's gone completely silent. Totally unprofessional. Now I'm stuck paying to get problem re-accessed.

I was referred to Kevin by a friend. He is awesome! He has quickly fixed several plumbing issues for us at a reasonable price. Moreover, he has made recommendations to save me money when he could have said ""Yeah, I can do that"" and cost me more. He also happens to be a really nice guy!

Kevin is the best. We had several plumbers look at a problem with our sink and tell us it couldn't be fixed without paying lots of money. Kevin assessed - by photo - got the needed parts, and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. He spent a bunch of time talking us through other plumbing related projects too.
