Called them to fix leaky shower valve. They responded promptly, sent a tech out quickly. Tech carefully unscrewed the stubborn calcified brass ring around the cartridge and installed the replacement. Good friendly guy and a nice experience.

Professional and courteous. Our new go to plumbers! My washing machine was back flowing into the garage. I called just to have my pipe snaked. Hong asked to check kitchen and did trouble shooting to see what was the real issue. Turns out my pipe was not clogged, so he told me I did not need his service. Just needed to adjust the washer pipe. 5 stars for honesty and integrity. Hire them! You won't regret it.

Drain Rooter Service was not my first call. I called another highly rated rooter service first and they told me they could get someone to come by the next morning and gave absolutely no price estimate or even a guess. That was not satisfactory.

I called Drain Rooter Service and they told me there would be a technician out in twenty minutes and he would give me a price before he got started with NO charge to come out!!

Hung was my technician and he crawled under the house and checked out a few more things, carefully, before he gave me an estimate. Then he explained how he knew where the problem was. It all made sense, he gave me a very fair estimate and proceeded when I accepted his estimate.

He resolved the problem, gave me a thirty day warranty, cleaned up nicely and was on his way.

Fast service, very fair price, very professional service is what I received. As Hung left, I told him that I would call him next time I needed rooter service, but I hoped it wouldn't be too soon.

These 5 star ratings half of them are self reviews. Pay attention to the number of reviews a person has written and if you go through a few pages, you might find them again! Same tactics lots of these Chinese and Vietnamese vendors use.
I read on Nextdoor, people mentioned that there is promised discount by this vendor for writing good reviews on Yelp.
I did not hire him, was put off by his lack of knowledge yet arrogant attitude and unprofessional mannerism.

Drain Rooter plumbing provides exceptional, prompt services at very reasonable prices. I've called them for 3 separate issues. They responded much quicker than I expected and completed the work early and at a very reasonable price. They are a very hard working family owned business and they take tremendous pride in their work. San Jose is full of older homes with multiple prior owners with all sorts of piecemeal fixes and additions. When something goes wrong, you can watch a YouTube video and go to hardware store...you might fix it or you may likely make it worse. Our toilet was slow to drain and a plunger and simple snake didn't help.....I knew I was in trouble. I reached out to Rooter, they were at our house in 45 mins; At 8 pm at night, they tried to professionally snake the toilet, then crawled into our crawl space to identify our sewer lines, climbed on the roof to video inspect our main valve, identified the likely source of the blockage. The next morning, they dug a large trench in our backyard to expose the sewer line, installed a clean out valve, removed the tree roots blocking the line, and cleaned up the trench. My plumbing works great and my backyard actually looks better than before. They did all this in less than 24 hours. Amazing. Next time, I have a plumbing issue big or small, I'm calling them. Tu, Hong, and Todd are the best.

Super fast service. Friendly and professional. Called them on a Saturday for a clogged toilet and they arrived to clear the line in in about 30 minutes. Todd was great! Highly recommend them.
