Drain Nerds is the newest version of the plumbing company created by John Verhoff after relocating in this region in 2007. At first, he worked on building projects. But, after surviving the 2008-2009 recession, he came to see that partnering with contractors did not provide the flexibility over his work processes that he desired.

In 2012, he redirected his attention to domestic services, first partnering with a associate on a business that had locations in Florida and two other states. When he acquired his partner on the local portion of the operation in 2016, he needed a new name and brand. This is when Plumbing Nerds was created.

Plumbing Nerds is dedicated to offering smarter pipe fixes that are provided with passion that reflects our expert approach.

Hi, I'm John Verhoff, the founder and ""Head Nerd"" of Plumbing Nerds. I've been enthusiastic about the plumbing trade since high school, and I'm focused on offering the best level of care to my homeowners.

When I launched Plumbing Nerds in 2007, I identified a gap for a more approach to water services. We're driven by our mission to ""change the way the world views skilled trades,"" which means delivering modern solutions to everyday plumbing issues. We also teach homeowners about their pipe networks and provide options that meet their needs.
