Drain Nerds is the latest evolution of the pipe company founded by our founder after moving in Fort Myers in 2007. In the beginning, he worked on construction jobs. But, after surviving the 2008-2009 recession, he realized that working for contractors lacked the autonomy over his company flow that he wanted.

In 2012, he redirected his attention to home services, first partnering with a associate on a company that had offices in Florida and two other states. When he acquired his associate on the Florida part of the operation in 2016, he required a fresh name and identity. At that point, Plumbing Nerds came to life.

Greetings, I'm John Verhoff, the creator and ""Head Nerd"" of Plumbing Nerds. I've been passionate about the industry since high school, and I'm focused on providing the top level of service to my clients.

When I launched Plumbing Nerds in 2007, I recognized a gap for a more approach to plumbing. We're motivated by our goal to ""change the way the world views skilled trades,"" which means offering modern solutions to routine plumbing issues. We also teach homeowners about their plumbing systems and offer options that meet their needs.
