Plumbing Nerds is the latest evolution of the pipe company established by John Verhoff after relocating in Southwest Florida in 2007. Initially, he concentrated on new construction. But, after weathering the 2008-2009 recession, he realized that partnering with contractors didn't offer the control over his company flow that he desired.

In 2012, Verhoff redirected his focus to home services, at the start partnering with a colleague on a venture that had locations in the Sunshine State and other regions. When he acquired his associate on the local segment of the business in 2016, he needed a new name and brand. This is when Plumbing Nerds came to life.

When I launched Plumbing Nerds in 2007, I recognized a need for a customer-focused approach to water services.
