Opinion is would never work w/ them again. Apprears MIA ownership. Crew (Fernando & John) flout COVID rules - when requested to wear masks unhinged and abusive, emotional outbursts from Supervisor despite us informing Drain Kings had a Covid positive event at our house w/ other worker. Day requested masks approx. 20,000+ cases in LA. Job started approx. Nov 22nd - not finished as of January 14th. During work DK stripped and damaged tub drain when snaked. Chipped tub w/ snake. Plumber tried to have me do the work to locate replacement part DK damaged. Left w/ ripped up bathroom with yellow hazard police tape for WEEKS despite DK having bid $7000 for the job. Charged for video of plumbing; did not send the video or photos of blockage as committed - still waiting on this where is it? After opening ceiling, site left a complete mess - large sheet drywall blocking emergency exit stairs, did not clean up after work in basement, did not shop vac or do normal cleanup - cast iron shards everywhere including over boiler and did not re-assemble site. December 14th tried to come to the house without having addressed the damaged part and hazard tape tub, or mess in basement. After making appointments did not arrive, saying another job ""did not pass inspection."" Tried to get full payment without finishing job saying ""office was furious at him"" (Owner threatening sup?). Showed up with finish plumber part which did not fit. After month of the yellow tape bathroom, DK made me hunt down part from their damage. Part did not fit. Requested Drain Kings check with Snyder Diamond - first stop in town for finish plumbing. Snyder Diamond referred plumber to Findlays Machine Shop, a place which made part in an hour. Did not show up for appointment for days. On installation, DK did not re-attach the broken tub stop. Still broken (photo). Prior to working, DK did not pull permits or want inspections: ""we don't have the city inspect if you don't need to."" Plumbing pipes supported with old blocks (see photos) vs. strapping. DK chasing payment but apparently unconcerned about leaving a bathroom inoperable for weeks with yellow hazard tape or finishing professionally/responsibly. Drain Kings then bid work of drywall and painters. Assigned plumbers not painters to do finish work - workers appeared dishonest, manipulating, didn't want to wear masks. Many conversations w/ AWOL supervisor re: crooked ceiling to wall line (photo) and painting over brick. Sup. not on job, did not show up to check work end of day. Leading up to end of day politely requested workers clean up before leaving (why didn't they drape to begin with?), offered broom or whatever else needed. Workers had left site a mess before. Today DK workers said ""No, they had it under control and had everything they needed and would clean up prior to leaving for the night."" Disappeared off site like before, leaving mess, large piece of drywall blocking emergency stairs, everything including lunch receipt littered on front steps. When called office requesting to speak to owner due to the work (crooked lines, drips and mess on concrete due to no draping, paint all over brick see photos), staff apparently lied directly. Not the first time this team lied directly - profanity and racial slurs? - forgetting there were multiple witnesses on site. Lies when queried about not doing basic work proof is in mess remaining. Yellow hazard tape for weeks, missing supervision, abusive owner & do not appear to care less about COVID laws or the LA County requirements for business.

Just hung up w/ Tiago Alkana, owner of Company. Call started w/ TA stating ""I've got so many companies I run I am not involved in the day to day management."" Who is? Supervisor John said owner said he would ""sue me"" if I didn't take down above Yelp post. Owner then swore up and down that he never said that - but in call, all Tiago wanted was for me to take down this post. Tiago threatened me throughout call. Owner asked what we wanted and we said very simple: send someone now to clean up mess left by workers which should have been done before end of day & remove your items from site, including drywall, which has been blocking our stairwell for months. All we wanted to begin w/: professional responsible supervision and management of $7,000 job. Overtime required would have been pennies compared to $2000 remaining to finish, but Mr. Tiago did not care about this and would not focus on client answers to his question of what we wanted. Alkana then threatened, yelled at me, was racist saying ""he came from a tough Jewish family in Pasadena who were attorneys"" & lost it, screaming and yelling -- all only about this post. We just had our main sewer line repaired/replaced by Drain Kings and all I can say is WOW, I couldn't be more happier dealing with John, Tony and Tiago, they were very professional and the job was done in a timely manner and the price was below other quotes I had gotten. I highly recommend them....

Drain kings revamped my drainage system with all new up to code pipe design. The redesign included my 2 baths, kitchen, and laundry room. Joe and his team reworked all of the pipes all the way to the city line. The price was reasonable and fair. Joe made the process feel like that old school good ole customer service. He thoroughly explained his work. Whenever possible he showed me examples and explained the entire process step by step. Joes plumbing acumen is impressive! His team is sharp , attentive and detailed oriented. Did I mention clean and tidy? I highly recommend Joe and his team from Drain king for any plumbing work.
