Our main sewage drain got clogged and water was building up in our basement. Less than an hour after calling (day before Thanksgiving) they were here, did an extremely competent, thoughtful job for what felt like a reasonable price. Perfect.

A local couple were cycling through Wilmington when a Drain Doctor van pulled up along side them and, with no provocation, a woman opened the van window and screamed at them.

Nobody should patronize a business run by people like this. There are many fine and courteous plumbers out there; this is not one of them.

Got the Drain Doctors information from Networx Team. Plumber called me, text me and finally when I was able set up an appointment with me. Plumber showed up on time talked to me for 2 minutes and never came back. I called and text the plumber back and he just kept saying he would come back. He never did. I missed two hours at work waiting 4 hours for him to come back and I had to spend additional time to find someone to do a ten minute job. To top it off I am still receiving text messages from plumber. HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL.

Called them Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 7 am about a problem with my main drain backing up into my house. They were here last May to clear it. I'm still waiting for a call back from them! Needless to say I called Drain Pro, they were at my house within 30 minutes.

I don't usually write reviews. But this experience with Fran from Drain Doctor has convinced me to write this well deservered review.

This is my first experience with a plumber. I was worried dealing with a plumber is like dealing with auto shop mechanic; dishonest, misleading, etc. I am glad to say my experience with Fran from Drain Doctor has been nothing but positive. I can't speak for anyone else from Drain Doctor, my 2 hours spent with Fran has changed my view of hired help.

I had a clog in my main line which goes into the sewer system. Fran know exactly where to attack the problem and he was very methodical. He opened up the main line cap and went in with a 100 ft snake. He snaked it total of three times.
First time he snaked it, it used a smaller blade. He later explained to me the purpose of the smaller blade is to breakup the clog. When he unclogged it, I was worried he would just pack up and leave, but instead he said he would snake it with a bigger blade to get the job done right. I was impressed beyond believe someone cares about ""getting the job done right"".
Second time he snaked it with the bigger blade. He couldn't get the bigger blade all the way across to the sewer system. It's probably caused by the main line settling over the past 100 years causing it to bend.
After trying with the bigger blade for 15 minutes and couldn't get it to go through, Fran snaked it for the 3rd time with the smaller blade. He wanted to make sure smaller blade to goes all the way to the sewer system.

In addition to snaking the main line. Fran also tested my old main line trap (something that's no longer needed because every sink/tub/toilet have their own trap) to make sure there's no blockage.

Thank you Fran. I hope your elbow feels better soon.

Drain Doctor was among the least courteous businesses I've had the displeasure of working with.

The person who came to service our toilet was rude, blamed us for the problem in a very accusatory way, broke the cover to the tank while removing it, and ultimately did not solve the problem. When he later returned to try again, he yelled at us that we should have called earlier, became visibly frustrated when we offered additional information, and stormed out of the house in the middle of the conversation, slamming the door behind him.

We will not be calling them again, and we recommend caution for getting their help in anything but the simplest of clog situations.

* * * * * Definitely a FIVE Star business. I called Drain Doctor because my sewer drain pipe was clogged up, and it needed some serious snaking. (Note: I've used Drain Doctor before and they were excellent.) Drain Doctor was at my house within an hour of my call. Fran was very professional and did what he had to do. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy job. The pipe was clogged with "" Charmin Freshmates Flushable Wipes"" - yes ""flushable"" but Fran explained to me that with old pipes, they get stuck and build up to the point of clogging the pipe. I started using the wet wipes about a year ago. So, I'm assuming there was a good years worth of Wipes stuck in the pipe. Fran said it was ""real bad"", but he managed to clear them out. So for anyone reading this review.......If you have old pipes that are clogged and you use those wipes, STOP using them and, CALL ""DRAIN DOCTOR"". Their work is excellent; they get the job done and the price is very reasonable too. REMEMBER: STOP using those culprits unless you want to keep on spending your hard earned money on unclogging your pipes.

I had a very bad experience with drain doctor they are unprofessional, bad technician and bad front officer which can not handle the case. I had a main sewer clog they cleared the drain ($275.00) and left with 30 day warranty and the next day it clog again they sent the same guy back. This time he came in with a mad temper and try to blame me for paper towel that some one might put it in the toilet bowl which he did not even found out what caused the drain clog. He said that next time he come in is going to be $ 275.00. I asked him for a long term solution or try to find out what caused by put the camera in the pipe. He said that I did not have the camera with me. He cleared the drain and he said If it clog again and he come in it will be another $275.00. I called drain doctor main office, I got a bad response. I am very disappointed with an unprofessional of drain doctor as the way that technician performing the work also his attitude and the way that the office personal handle the case. If you do not want to wast the time and money please stay away from drain sucker op! doctor. Do not fall in love with 30 days warranty that drain doctor offer you, its means nothing anyway they still blame you that is your fault.

Extremely prompt service. They came out within 20 mins to see to my blocked toilet. The technician was very pleasant and dealt with the problem quickly. My one qualm is the cost: $115 for less than 10 mins in my house! It's not horrendous I guess, but still more than I was expecting.

Very pleased with Drain Doctor. Had a main sewer clog and everything including waste was draining out through a basement sink. Got a recommendation from my plumber to use Drain Doctor and they were great. Initially spoke with Tim over the phone and he was friendly, understanding and helpful. They came within a couple hours and took care of the problem. Very reasonable pricing for the work done. Hopefully don't have to deal with this problem again but would use them if I had to. Highly recommend Drain Doctor.
