Marcos from Downey Plumbing unclogged our sewer system last week due to roots problem. We have been having this roots clogging problem every year, since we moved to our current address in Carson in 2012. The techs who did our past roto-rooter services, just unclogged the drain and when I asked as to where the specific problem was, they did not have any idea where and even don't know where our sewer connections to the main county sewer are located. We were very fortunate that Downey Plumbing sent Marcos and Alberto to unclog our sewer line last week. Marcos knew where the roots clogging problem was, based from his plumbing expertise, and, voila, I saw the sewer pipe he extracted and replaced which was full of roots build up. Thanks a lot Downey Plumbing for sending Marcos to fix our roots buildup problem. Note: This is my 2nd posting to correct the name of the Plumber from Marco (in my first post) to his correct name, Marcos.

Once again Downey Plumbing saves the day! AC quit working late yesterday I immediately called Downey and they said they could have someone over first thing in the morning. Tyler showed up first thing in the morning and figured out what was wrong and had it fixed in less than an hour. He was professional and friendly. AC is back working and everyone is happy!

My plumbing issue was fixed by another local plumbing company in Downey. Upon further review, we discovered that your plumber Juan never called Rinnai's tech support when he first came to inspect and charged me $150. We found this out when another plumbing company came to inspect the tankless water heater and contacted Rinnai; they had no record of any call or a case number from your technician (Juan). Furthermore, the issue was misdiagnosed by your technician, leading me to purchase unnecessary parts. The water heater needed to be replaced entirely, but your company completely missed this due to negligence and incompetence.

Our a/c unit stopped working when we opened shop this Monday. I had to close our business for the day because airconditioning is a must in our service (spa).Tried calling other vendors but almost everyone were not available. I found Downey Plumbing Heating and AC on Google. Called them and they were able to give me same day schedule. Operators were courteous and they even gave me a call an hour before the technician was to arrive. My technician was Luis. He definitely knows his trade and went to diagnose the problem systematically and quickly. He was very professional and respectful. In less than an hour my AC is working again. I was very satisfied with their business that I signed up for their yearly maintenance check. It is important to have a reliable service company when you need them the most. Overall, their price was fair and they were upfront about their diagnostic fees. Great job Luis and Downey Plumbing!

I set up an appointment to have Downey Plumbing come out and to resolve an issue with a toilet draining slowly. They flushed the toilet and quickly said their was an issues with the jets and the toilet needed to be replaced at an estimated cost of over $900. Having had similar issues I thought that there might have been roots in the line. He ran an auger after I requested him to do so. After running the auger a few times the toilet was draining properly. Later in the day the issue returned. I called another plumber since Downey Plumbing was only interested in selling me a new toilet. The new plumber took the time to remove the toilet and found roots in the line which he took the time to run an auger and clean them out. He reconnected and resealed the toilet. The problem has not returned.

Please beware when dealing with Downey Plumbing as they only appear to want upsell customers instead of analyzing the issue. Perhaps it is because I am a senior citizen they thought that I would just go with their recommendation to replace the toilet which would not have resolved the issue. I did contact them for a reimbursement of the $167 they billed me but they refused. I may be older but I know when someone is trying to take me and sell me something that I don't need. I will never use their services again and recommend others do not use them.
