He was polite on the phone. But for someone who advertises as being open until 3AM, he only gave me 20 mins at 7pm to get my landlord to approve his rather pricy rate. I understand wanting to go home, but then you shouldn't advertise as being a late night plumbing solution.

If you tried the rest, now try the best. They are the experts. I used them to hardpipe my dehumidifier into my sump pump. Now my basement is as dry as the Sahara desert! They are punctual, honest, clean, efficient, smart, thorough, etc etc. Prices very fair.

I talked with Dovi this morning and he was here about two hours later. It took him 15 minutes to identify the source of our toilet leak, fix it/replace the problematic part, swipe my credit card, and leave. It's not fun parting with $160, especially since it turned out to be a simple issue, but it would have taken me hours to do what Dovi did (isolate the problem, buy the relevant part, do the replacement) myself.

These guys are so great. They came out to us last minute (we called day of), and they did a good, clean job on our leaky sink. They also had to replace a few valves under the sink, and I was grateful to have professionals working on our 100+ year old pipes. They gave me a fair price, and I am going to have them return in a few weeks when I have our bathroom vanity replaced. Thank you, Dovis!!

Our master bathroom toilet got clogged and my wife's sister recommended using Dovis from her past experience. I called them and we scheduled for the same afternoon at 16pm. When the time showed 17:00 and no one showed I called them again and they assured someone is on the way. Finally the plumber arrive an hour and a half after we scheduled (Its not that I mind that it was at 18:30 as much as I am bothered by waiting for an hour and half after the original appointment time. Eventually he came in, did a 15 minute simple fix and left. Pricing was fair and the problem was solved.

I'll happily echo the other favorable review of Dovi's Plumbing and Heating. I am a relatively new homeowner in Brooklyn Heights and have had terrible experiences with other plumbers. Dovi responded quickly (both picked up the phone right away and was able to schedule an appointment within 24 hours), provided fast and excellent service repairing a broken dishwasher intake hose and a broken faucet, and was very reasonable from a price perspective. Dovi will be my first call whenever I have an issue going forward. PS, with respect to a few other comments that have been made: -Dovi does have a certificate of insurance; I live in a co-op that wouldn't have allowed him to work without one. -With respect to a plumber's license, although the article is somewhat dated, you can see the basic set of issues here: http://www.nytimes.com/1996/11/30/opinion/unclog-the-plumbing-system.html. Bottom line: for small handyman-type work like I described above (replacing a dishwasher hose and a faucet), it doesn't seem to matter and I can say that Dovi did great work.

Called these guys Wednesday morning and left a message inquiring about cost and services. Within an hour, they called me back, and within 3 hours they were here and working on it. Total came to $299 for about 30 minutes of service on my bathroom and kitchen sinks. Is that expensive? I don't know anything about plumbing pricing and services, but I know that my bathroom and kitchen sinks are now fully functional and no longer flooding. I also know that Dovis was super friendly and accommodating. I felt like he cared about doing a good job for me. Would recommend them to anyone.

When I first called Dovi after seeing all the 5 star reviews on Yelp I was a bit apprehensive. I wondered """"How can anyone get so many 5 star reviews?"""" and """"Could they all be legitimate?"""" Well, after my experience with Dovi and seeing what a superb job he did, I now have my answer and am adding my own 5 star review. We had multiple plumbing problems involving the bathroom sink, tub, and toilet. Dovi corrected all of the problems in a highly professional manner, not rushing, and making sure that all the work was done correctly. Some examples: Dovi reconfigured the pipes in the vanity under the sink and installed new pipes of high quality (as distinct from the inferior quality, now corroded, pipes installed by our previous plumber). Similarly, Dovi snaked the main line leading to the tub in a careful manner such that the tub drain (which had been slow) now works beautifully (with much better results than those produced by multiple plumbers in the past). My wife says that when she now takes a shower, she feels like she's in a hotel. In the future, we will be calling Dovi for all our plumbing needs.

I think this will go down as truly unbelievable and the worst overall customer service I have received Great service to begin where they turned up immediately on a Sunday to investigate the problem . From there it got progressively worse. Never returned back to my place to fix the problem, didn't even return my calls. I was so taken back by this I thought I would see how long this would continue - it was over 3 weeks before the owner answered and then said he would call back - I'm still waiting on his return call 3mths later
