There was a small appointment SNAFU so I expected poor service. I was very pleasantly surprised. I don't know much about plumbing but I can tell when someone knows what they are doing rather than fumbling around. They were organized, professional, courteous and most importantly to me methodical while answering all my questions. I appreciated how thorough they were and how they let me know I would need to replace some other piping in about a year or so. Can't really say much else about them. Use them, they're great.

I was suspicious to see that every reviewer gave Dovis 5 stars but decided to give them a call anyway. The first time I called the phone just rang and rang-no one answered, no voice mail picked up. So I checked the number (i had it right) and called back. This time someone answered. He simply said hello. I asked if this was the plumber. He said yes......silence. So I said, Um, I need a plumber. He asked where I lived, I told him my neighborhood and asked if he wanted my exact address. He asked if I wanted the work done today, I told him as soon as possible. He then asked if he could call me back in 20 minutes to make the appointment and that it could probably be scheduled for tomorrow. I said sure. He never called back. Methinks those 5 star reviews are fakes.

This past week was crunch time in the office. The plumbing issues at home was really not helping the situation. I Googled plumbing services in Brooklyn and yelp was one of the first options, so I hopped on it and saw Dovis yelping reviews. I was hesitant to call on Sunday, thinking that they're probably too busy to see me this week but a very nice gentleman answered the phone and set me up for a Tuesday appointment (this morning). It happened to be Dovi who showed up promptly at 9am to take a look at my sink leak. I don't know much about plumbing but Dovis really helped me understand what the issue was, where it most likely originated from and how to resolve it in the best way. He told me I needed a certain pipe replaced which he might have in the truck. Sure enough he came back a couple minutes later and installed the piece where there on the spot! The process was so sweet for a service company, especially for a plumbing job. I figured with such a professional experience, he would surely make me pay for it. But considering i was paying out of pocket, i found his pricing very reasonable for the nature of the job. Dovis was delightful and professional to deal with from start to finish and I will definitely refer him to friends and family in the neighborhood. All I got to say now is... Dovi... you're #1 in a number 2 business ;)

Dovi called to let me know he was on his way, right on track for the appointment time we had made. He was courteous and fast and his price seemed very reasonable. I had a leak under my kitchen sink and he fixed it lickety-split and made sure to test his work. Would definitely use Dovi again and recommend him.

Found Dovi's, due to my fellow Yelpers. So, let me return the favor and add a review. Good to do business with someone you can have confidence in. My situation: No cold water in the bathtub/shower. A week of near scalding showers and hair washing in the sink= not fun. I'm a renter, and don't directly deal with plumbing issues - typically I call the landlord, and by the time I'm home from work the problem is fixed. After 3 calls to the LL, no response, I had to find a plumber and bill them. Did my research and settled on Dovi's. Got an appointment for the next day, which required me to adjust my work schedule, and the results were worth it. He came a little beyond the hour window, but had the courtesy to call before the window was up to give me an ETA. This guy knows his stuff. Found the problem, fixed it, and explained as I requested (for documentation, and my novice-level knowledge) in about 15 minutes. Back to perfect plumbing. Thanks Dovi.

I came home from a 24 hour shift, and soon became aware of a distant slow dripping sound. I located the puddle on the first floor, and then found the larger puddle on the second floor, with water seeping behind the paint and the tile wall, coming down from the ceiling. This was an area that had seen water entry before, and we had never been able to ascertain the source, despite multiple visits by various plumbers and general contractors. I called my usual plumber, who assured me that they could get someone out next week, which was obviously unacceptable. Holding my breath, I Yelped to see if I could get someone out that day (I was supposed to leave out of town the following morning). The first plumber that came up was Dovis, who seemed to have impeccable reviews. I called and explained my emergency. He told me he'd get someone out ASAP, and that he'd call me with a time frame. 45 minutes later he called to say he'd be there in 30 minutes. He arrived when he said he would, was well spoken and professional. Diagnosed the cause of the leak in around four minutes or so, and had it fixed in around 15 minutes. Then he took some time to discuss unrelated plumbing issues with me, and answered questions I had about replacing my hot water heater (it's time) and thermostat. He was knowledgable and thoughtful, and listened carefully before answering (a rare skill, indeed!). Under the emergency circumstances, he could have ripped me off, but his charge was completely fair, particularly considering the very rapid service he provided me in an emergency. Needless to say, he will be the professional I go to for replacing the thermostat and the hot water heater. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent experience with Dovi and I would highly recommend him! We had a leaking faucet in our bathroom sink that had been a problem for quite sometime. Dovi arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and set to work at fixing the sink right away. He made sure to check with us about which hardware to purchase (as the original hardware with too corroded to continue using) and was very responsive to our preferences. The work was very well done and we are very happy with our non-leaking sink! He is fairly priced and very nice to work with. Should we experience any more plumbing issues (and I hope we don't!) he will be the first person I call for repairs.

I called a few plumbers and most didn't seem trustworthy and knowledgeable. I reached Dovi's plumbing on the first ring and he was able to explain what needs to be done. I have two hot water heaters and one broke. He installed a shut off so that in the future either one can be turned off if in need of repair and he replaced the broken one. All of the work was completed the next morning after I called. Excellent service, timely and very fairly priced. I highly recommend this company.
