WOW! What can I say? I needed the outside faucet replaced because it was leaking. It was not even an emergency call. I was charged $316 this and it took maybe 30 minutes at most. I explained that I was on Social Security and didn't really have that much money but they were going to charge me a $62 fee for just coming out. I asked if I could get a senior citizen discount and was refused. When I got my invoice e-mailed to me, it said on the invoice "You could have saved $35 dollars." Well, why didn't they help me with that when I asked? Next time I am going to hire a person to do the other two that won't rob me. I emphatically DO NOT recommend this company!
4 stars only because of their pricing.
If it was based on my experience with the schedulers and Chris my plumber alone it would be 5 stars all day long.
Chris came in listened patiently (though I later realized he knew exactly what my problem was probably three words into my explanation haha) to how I have cleared this AC slime clog multiple times and have managed to push it far enough into my line now that I could no longer get to it.
He then proceeded to provide a lot deeper insight into my problem and what all of my different solutions would be. I had lead him to several of my own solutions in my initial explanation which he also took time to explain to me were not good for me in the long run due to a laundry list of code violations I would commit by doing them haha
After talking and reviewing costing he was very upfront with me about % of success for the provided plan and what our fall backs would need to be if his plan didn't work. Ultimately he was able to get the clog broken with his initial plan.
Pricing structure seems high but you can trust they will get you taken care of. Thank you again for the help Chris keep up the good work you and the team are 5 stars.
Chris was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable, found our problem and got it fixed quickly.
Good Afternoon, everyone
While I have not had any service done as of yet, I just want to write this review based on the encounter over the phone that I had with Ms. Pam .Words can't not describe her patience with my frustration over sales pitches dishonesty, overcharging the list goes on and on,from other businesses I called for services. She listened to me and her voice was so pleasant , it was as if an angel from heaven was speaking with me. With that being said customer service is extremely important , as well as honesty and integrity. No one should have to spend money they don't have behind unnecessary dishonesty. It just pays to be honest , because we reap whatsoever we sow!!!! ok enough of that. Ms. Pam is an asset to this company, I mean truly an asset. Not sure if I'll use the service after the reviews , I love peace and I wouldn't want to run into any problems with anyone after reading the reviews. So I think I'll cancel my appointment. I just wanted to tell the company how blessed they are to have MS. Pam as the first voice a person hears upon calling. She is absolutely the best human being I've spoken to in a while. Thank you Ms. Pam may God bless you and keep you, cause his face to shine upon you , be gracious to you . may he lift his countenance upon you and give you peace. In the name above very name the name of Jesus Christ! Jesus is coming back soon are you all ready for his return?
Dave S.Needed a toilet reset on it's base. A neighbor recommended this outfit. Doug Turner promptly sent someone out, and he did a very good job. A small job -- took exactly one hour. So why the two star rating? Doug Turner's price! $350 for one hour of work. My attorney doesn't even charge that much! I called and asked the office lady if they could do anything about the price. She agreed..... they took a huge $10 off! So the bill was $340! There are lots of plumbers out there. Next time, we will shop around and find someone who does not gouge on the prices.
Zachary L.I had my pipe from the kitchen sink backup. Alex from Doug Turner came out and looked at it and he gave a reasonable quote. He did not try to sell anything else to me. He unclogged the pipe and gave us good advise on how to avoid this problem again. I highly recommend this company and I will call them again if I ever need a plumber.
Jay C.Doug Turner plumbing co was hired to repair a leak that was found during a home inspection. They were provided with a photo from the home inspection showing an active water leak. Sam came out and said he didn't see a leak, even though he was shown a photo. Instead of making sure everything was sealed, he did nothing. The leak continued and caused a lot of water damage. Immediately upon discovering the damage, I called to notify them, it was a weekend. I was told they don't do warranty work on the weekends and to wait until Tuesday for them to come out. Fortunately I was able to shut off the water to stop the leak. Since they wouldn't come out, I had to find someone else to fix the leak. Once Sam came out again, I showed him the water damage and he didn't know what to do. He said Doug Turner would handle it. I spoke with Doug Turner, the owner and he refused to help. His plumber was shown the leak and failed to fix it which caused significant water damage. They refused to take responsibility for the water damage caused by their negligence. If there is a problem, they won't fix it, and they will deny responsibility.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! I called this company out for a sewage backup into my bathtubs. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time they came out for service so I had a family member meet with them. The plumber flushed out my sewage, but only partially. He also did not ensure my bathtubs could drain before leaving. When I finally came back home 8 days later, I was unable to use my tubs. When I called in to ask a plumber to come back out because the job was incomplete, I was met by a rude woman employee on the other line who not only hung up in my face, but also my uncle's face. They also wanted to charge me another service call for the plumber to come back out to do what should have been done the first time around.
The plumber left notes stating there were roots growing through my pipes and that's what caused the issue, along with feminine products. While I'm speaking on feminine products, I came home to a pile of tampons in my yard! This should have been discarded in the same manner as the sewage!
I called Alan's plumbing after the NO HELP I received from Doug Turner and they were able to come out the same day and resolve my issue for the most part. Turns out there aren't roots growing through my pipes. The issue is that over time my pipes have curved into a sort of U shaped (instead of a straight pipe) causing sewage to get stuck on its way out. The plumber from Doug Turner was unequipped to figure this out.
This is my first AND last time ever using Doug Turner! Alan's Plumbing has made a lifetime customer out of me!
Had an appointment set up between 9-12. Was called at 10 to say they were running late and then called at 2 to let me know they were not coming. Complete waste of time and terrible way to treat customers.
Tim D.Doug Turner Plumbing has done work for me twice now and on both occasions were serviced by highly competent plumbers.
A little background:
Two-weeks prior I cleaned out the trap on a clogged sink and here it was again not draining. So I decided this plumbing job was best done by a professional.
After calling DTP I had one of my master bath sinks unclogged by Rock Hillman, a Master Plumber. Rock is a great guy and was a genuine pleasure having him in my house.
The job, by the way, was no simple task. After doing the obvious, running the drain auger, the sink was still stopped up. But now the powder room sink also was filling with water and black drain chunks (yuck!).
To compound the problem, the way the plumbing was run by the home builder two sinks shared one line so when Rock tried running the auger it simply ended up going into the other sink's drain. (Cheap builder!)
Ordinarily the plumber would just access a clean-out drain and free the clog. Simple. Except there was no clean-out and to make matters worse, no access to the vent in the attic or upstairs bath room. (Cheap builder!) This is where experience pays off though. Rock estimated exactly where the pipe was located, in the wall (conveniently behind the bathroom mirror) and then opened up a small ten-inch hole to put the drain auger down. Two-minutes later, both drains were draining great. After sealing the drain with a removable patch so the pipe can be accessed in the future and another five-minutes, the mirror was back up and the job was done.
Bottom line is if you want plumbing done right call Doug Turner.
