While housesitting for my sister, a water line in the neighborhood broke and all water was cut off to the neighborhood. When it was turned back on around 1:45 a.m., I was awoken by a horrible banging noise coming from the backflow preventer for the irrigation system. I called three different plumbers, none of whom could or were willing to help me. The fourth call was to Doug Turner Plumbing, and the answering service told me someone would call me. Doug Turner himself called me back within five minutes. He walked me through what to do and assured me that there was no threat of damage and that it would eventually quit on its own (which it did). He told me he would call me back first thing in the morning, and sure enough he called me at 7 a.m. to check on things. While a plumber did not have to come out, I was thoroughly impressed with the quick response time in the middle of the night, and the courtesy that Doug showed me both at that time and again in the morning. Next time I need a plumber, Doug Turner Plumbing will get my business!

Turner Plumbing was able to fix a problem at our high rise that was not fixed for over a year by other plumbers. They were so professional and the work was done well. Problem solved!!!

I just paid 325 for 20 mins of nothing. They came on overtime, said that they cant fix it till mon-thru friday . so i wouldnt have to pay the overtime charge, but they would not use it against the work they will do. So 325 was JUST FOR telling something is wrong with my sink. I know something is wrong, I had to point them out to where the problem was to. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG. I dont mind paying the overtime , if they fixed it. But they said it would take another 3 hrs to change the facuet on a kitchen sink, that would run me close to $1000 bucks.

Never did get the plumber here. They gave me a 1-4 wait time. At 3.55 I called them to ask where the plumber was. At first, they said they had no record of my appointment, then they said that I was next. Apparently, a few minutes after getting off the phone with me, they made their "courtesy call' to my husband at 4.10. When he didn't answer, they called back at 4.13 cancelling the appointment, even though I had spoken to them 20 minutes earlier, and told them I was waiting at the house. Now will have to find a plumber who won't charge for a Saturday. Advise you pass on them.

Not even a star! I don't see the negative star location or I would push it! Charged for a quote on running gas line $62 and quote was 2700. Had another plumber come out for work, $200 now happily grilling. Don't waste your time with them!!!!

Wow! Their exorbitant prices are outrageous! They came to our house and did about 2 hours worth of work and charged us $685!!! In that price there was probably only about $185 in materials (guts for two toilets and a valve for a tub faucet). When the plumber gave me a price for the work (after he was here and I would have paid a trip charge anyway) I had no idea how long it would take or what would be involved to do the plumbing repairs (I thought for the price he quoted it would be 4-6 hours worth of work). I had purchased a trim kit and he installed it (for $150) and then he didn't even caulk around the faucet, I had to ask him to do that and when he did he didn't caulk underneath the faucet. Alan's Plumbing has since done other work (and did a great job) for us at a much more reasonable price. My husband wrote a letter to Doug Turner Plumbing about the charges and we never even received the courtesy of a reply. There are other really good plumbers out there who don't charge an arm and a leg. We will never use Doug Turner Plumbing again!

I'ved had multiple interaction with Doug Turner. During my first contact he fixed a problem that ARS created when they put a new sewer line in. ARS failed to provide the appropriate slop in the line and it stopped up. Doug used a camera and diagnosed the problem. His crew fixed the problem and all worked really well until the city mowed behind the fence.

Doug was really puzzled with a second problem and came out personally, on a Sunday morning despite the fact I had lunch plans and wouldn't be home. He opened the crushed line and then went to bat for me with the city. It was the stack and the citie's problem....Yes, he got paid for the visit and I got reimbursed but he didn't get paid to contact the city and pave the way to get the stack repaired...

Doug is good at the job and an honest service man who went beyond what was expected.

The best plumbing in Houston.

Moved into new place with shoddy plumbing, including shower problems. Truthfully, the shower was the worst part. I couldn't get the shower started after the previous owners wedged the switch shut. I needed my shower.

Doug Turner plumbing was able to come out and fix it quickly. The prices were good and the guy was nice.

We had septic leaking from under the house...it wasn't a problem. The guy got dirty and the toilets are working wonderfully.

DOUG TURNER PLUMBING did not stand behind their work when they installed a part for the HOT WATER HEATER and then did not make sure it was working. When I asked if they could come back to recheck it they wanted to charge a big amount for a SERVICE CALL which it should have been covered by their previous call. They do WARRANTY WORK for RHEEM and maybe others but if there is a replacement the customer would have to pay as much as it was to buy the heater in the first place.. Something wrong there. It has been 4 days and still NO HOT WATER.. It is ashame there are so many dishonest businesses wanting to cheat the customer and not stand behind their work.
