Our first two experiences with Donlon Plumbing were top notch & that was the reason for calling them with the current issue. I called on 3/31 requesting an appt for a technician to repair a leaking toilet. I was given a window of 10am-12pm on 4/1. I know every job is different and that my window could change a little before they arrive. I do think if it becomes much later that a courtesy call to the customer is deserving. At 12:30pm I had heard nothing so I called to ask if there was an update on when the technician would arrive. The clerk (I later learned her name is Mata or Mara) told me there were several emergencies and the next available tech would head my way. I totally understood. At 2:30pm I again called to question the tech's arrival time and was again told I would be next. At 3:30pm I called again and the same clerk told me she had called me to confirm I still wanted a tech to come out and I didn't answer so the tech went on to another job. That was the most bold faced lie I had ever heard. My phone was glued to me and it never rang & I had no missed call. I questioned what number she had called (as maybe she wrote it down wrong). She was very argumentative with me that she had called and left a message. I asked her what time she called me. She couldn't say. Then she told me the technician had shown up at my door and knocked and nobody answered. Bold faced lie #2. I assured her he did not show up at MY door as I was sitting outside within 2 feet of my front door in view. Next she asked if I still wanted a technician sent out and I assured her I did. Finally, at 4:00pm technician Clinton showed up. He never came to my front door either. I had to go outside and walk up to the truck which was parked several condos down from mine to see if he was there for my appointment. Clinton couldn't have been nicer and solved my leaking toilet issue within five minutes! I'm still not happy that I sat and waited from 10am until 4pm with absolutely NO communication from the plumbing company explaining the delay or asking if I wanted to reschedule, etc. My time is just as valuable as the next one's. Not sure I will ever use this company again.

Great company. Plumber called to let us know he was on his way and even showed up early and got the job done quick. Would definitely use this company again and highly recommend.

I had Donlon Plumbing come out October 26 for a toilet backing up into the tub. The plumber couldn't find the clean out to the street and said there wasn't one. He found a clean out that went back into the house and snaked that. He said the main sewer line must be to the back of the house. Even I know the sewer lines are down the middle of the street. He said it solved the problem. When I found the clean out to the street he had already put his snake back in the truck and didn't want to get it back out and said the problem was solved. When I called December 4 for the same problem they said they would come out next week but would charge me since it was over 30 days. It was 38 days so I think they could have made an exception since this would be the third time they were out for the exact same problem and hadn't solved it. Won't be using them for my personal properties or my real estate practice again.

They called before they came out. When I made the appointment, they were to arrive between 3-5pm. They arrived exactly at 3pm. Worked hard, were very kind and solved the problem (although it was highly unusual) quickly and efficiently. They stated the price upfront and it was extremely reasonable.

Mark and Andy came out to open a clogged kitchen drain. After using a snake and finding no obstruction, the problem still wasn't solved. Both men were disappointed. Then Mark observed that the back flow was filled with the same food particles that he had observed before cleaning the drain pipe. He realized that the clog was in one of the pipes immediately under the sink...he took it apart and voila! There was the clog, blocking about 50% of the pipe opening.

Problem solved! Thanks to Mark's keen observation and Andy's skill.

I had felt confident when I called Donlon Plumbing. This is the third time I've used them and each time the job was done to my satisfaction and the price was more than fair.

Had a drain pipe in the garage overflowing. Requested service through the home warranty. Donlon was assigned and showed up to do the work. at 2:30 in the afternoon I received a call from the plumber doing the work requesting permission to open the wall so that he could complete the job. I gave him permission. At 4:30 I got a call stating that they left and did not do the work because they were waiting on an approval. I called the emergency number and asked them to come back and was told that I would have to pay overtime rates in order for them to come back unless I got another approval. Not happy will not call them ever again.

I called another plumber pro plumbing, and they came right away and fixed the problem in 20 minutes.

Unreliable and unprofessional. We were told plumber would show up in 60-90 minutes but they didnt show up. We called 2 hours later and they said they were on their way. 3 hours later the plumber said our address ""didn't exist"". Incompotent and unprofessional. Not worth it!

Used Donlon plumbing for a major rebuild of my home in Oxnard shores. Their work included rough-in and finish plumbing that was a key part of a 1 year rebuild. Peter and his team did an excellent job throughout and handled issues in a professional manner and was prompt with many ad-hoc changes or requests. He has an excellent office staff that communicated well throughout the process. I highly recommend for small jobs or major remodeling needs.

I remember when Donlon was professional and honest in their quotes and level of service. Yesterday, they came to my home to fix a ""burping"" sound from the toilet. They quoted mid-$80's or mid $120's for after hours. To my utter dismay, they charged me mid-$180's for the 5:15 PM service and needed me to complete a very ""long"" form to use my credit card.

Surprised doesn't describe my shock! He fixed the noise. However to my surprise, I found my bath mat soaking wet and soiled on the bathroom floor after he left. I'll NEVER call them again!

If you ever need a great plumbing company- call Donlon Plumbing. They cane out quickly diagnosed my plumbing issue and fixed the pipe. They were very professional and the owner Peter Donlon was terrific. All the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with.
