Avoid these guys!!! I just had a terrible experience with them. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment for a backed up garbage disposal. After expressing the urgency of the situation, I was assured by their customer service rep that someone would come in between 8am-10am today. No one showed up! When I called, I was told they couldn't find my appointment. No apologies were given...just that they don't have it booked. I'm never using this company again, and I'll make sure to inform our building manager so other owners/tenants in our building can avoid Discount Plumbing.

Note: I would go with Magic Plumbing instead. I called them, and within 2 hours, they got the problem fixed.

Scheduled an appointment for 8am. They call me at 8:30am and say there is no plumber available. Thanks, Discount Plumbing for wasting my time and preventing me from scheduling the job with someone who would actually have shown up!

I called Discount Plumbing Rooter Inc and the receptionist was very nice. She accommodated my time request. The plumbers who came , Mike and Fred, were extremely professional, nice, and knowledgeable. We had a small cloth clogged in the toilet. They gave us an overview of our options with the price quote. Luckily, they were able to clear the clog with a few flushes, which was no charge. They gave us advice and tips for the future! They also took a look at my pipes in the basement free of charge. I will definitely be using this company again in the future! I highly recommend Discount Plumbing Rooter Inc! Mike and Fred were just great!

I had a fantastic experience with Discount Plumbing. I called in the morning and they were able to come out within an hour to fix my clogged kitchen sink. Angelo arrived, gave me a fair estimate and promptly began the work. He kept me updated throughout the process, even providing good advice on preventative steps I could take in the future. In less than an hour the sink was back to normal and he cleaned everything up- looker better off than to begin with!

I was very impressed and satisfied with my Discount Plumbing experience & Efraím.

Backstory: I had a massively clogged bathroom pipe that had been taking hair/soap scum since it was installed in the year 1900. The tub stopped draining and the water got very murky.
I called Discount Plumbing and they were able to send someone within 1 hour. Many other companies I called prior had 1-2 day waits. Given this is our only shower, I needed help fast!

Efraím of Discount Plumbing arrived promptly and was very respectful. He treated our house well by wearing shoe covers and tried his best to both solve the problem and not create larger issues down the line. As these things go, the worst case scenario is a quick fix that leads to a massive leak in the future and damaged property. Efraím took his time and very carefully diagnosed the situation. When a snake wouldn't remove the issue, he graciously offered to go check downstairs and see if there was a larger problem.

Efraím eventually had to replace the entire piping system with new cast-iron pipes (city code). The drain now works perfectly and should for years and years to come. He worked tirelessly and it showed in the results.

When dealing with a plumbing issue, it's very easy to want a quick fix so you can shower again immediately. While some solutions are fast, I'd recommend you find someone who is interested in the longevity of your home, rather than a quick bill and wage. With Efraím and Discount Plumbing, I found that care and service I desired.
