I have had DPR work on 3 projects at my house over the years. They leave their contact info with you and usually can come to do additional work with just a day or so notice -- with emergency calls having them here within hours, even on holidays. Most recently, they replaced my broken kitchen faucet and replaced my bathroom sink/faucet. The work was done by Mr. Carlos Gallardo.

They always arrive in the window they tell you (almost always a single hour window), and they even call you right before they head over. Carlos looked at my setup and the new items that I wanted to install, and he provided a written estimate. He offered to do the work right away, but I wanted to take a nap, so we set a time the next day for the install.

He arrived at exactly the agreed time on install day, and I have to say that I was very impressed that he knew exactly how to install the kitchen faucet. I had bought a very fancy electronic faucet from Delta that not only required plumbing, but it also had to have power, and he sorted things out under the sink with no problem. I have previously had issues with some plumbers and locksmiths not being quite ready for electronic fixtures, and I was very happy that Carlos could handle everything.

My bathroom sink was a vessel sink mounted on granite, and it had cracked under extreme hot/cold exposure. Unfortunately, the mounting area's hole was much larger than the new sink expected, and so it was not possible to install the sink without it having a pronounced ""wobble"". The fixtures were very expensive, and I didn't want a ""half ass"" install, and Carlos agreed that the sink should be more sturdy in place. He added an hour of time to his estimate, and then he went and purchased the necessary additional washers and fittings to make my sink perfectly stable as if the undermount surface had been clean and perfect as one would want. Carlos even came back a couple of weeks later to adjust the angle of the sink after I had been using it for a while and had a better idea of how I wanted it to appear visually from different angles.

Above all, Carlos was trustworthy -- he did everything he promised including coming back to check the sink angle for me after I had indicated I was unsure of exactly how I wanted it. He was hard working, worked quickly, and he was very respectful of the existing furnishings (wood floors, etc.).

I will be calling DPR again for my next plumbing project. This is a LGBT household, and DPR was respectful and courteous at all times.

I found out last minute I would be having unexpected guest and I totally panicked because my downstairs bathroom was not flushing properly. I called discount plumbing on thursday evening and I had a plumber here first thing friday morning. Cody, the plumber, was able to remove the toilet, snake the line, place it back, and had up and running in less than two hours. Cody impressed me by walking me through what the issue was and even gave me a few tips on how I could prevent this from happening again. I definitely felt confident and relieved with his work. I have to admit I was avoiding repairs on that toilet due to financial reasons but the cost was no where near what I had imagined!

Great experience with Conrad. Conrad is the nicest and sweetest plumber ever! He explained to me the two solutions that was available for the utility sink spitting out sludge. He listen to what I believe is happening and what I did in the past year with another plumber who recommended only snaking. We decided to do the pressure jet to clear out the gunk that was built up over the years. unfortunately, the first visit, all the equipment failed to work, he spent almost an hour trying to get the generator to work, but it didn't. He said he would come back first thing the next morning at 8 am to do the job. The next morning, which was today, he texted that he was minutes away at 8. I love just the fact that he let me know he's on his way, very much appreciated. He brought a new generator and everything's went smoothly! Took less than 30 minutes for the pressure jet. He also explained to me what's going on and that the situation is not that bad and that Discount Plumber provides a one year warranty on work. The utility drain now drains faster and no spit up.

I was charged for trying to fix a problem, never received the invoice of the work, the technician (Mike M) told me it was mailed to my house, but I don't think he did.
Then he proposed to brake the floor to replace a possible broken pipe, estimate was very expensive. Decide to call other company that was able to clean the piping and fix the problem at a very reasonable price.

I had a problem with my bathtub not draining. I called and Cody came right away and fixed the problem. He found the lid to a shampoo bottle stuck in the drain that we could not see. The drain works perfectly now.

Our plumber Conrad did a great job at our house. Initially, I wanted him to look at our kitchen sink and drainage system. We went under the house to look at the condition of the pipes, looking for rust or other damage. He also tried to locate the 'trap' for the kitchen before starting the work. Unfortunately, our house did not have a 'trap'. I then asked Conrad to look at other problem areas, such as our 2 upstairs bathrooms and he was ablle to change course and cleared out both drainiage pipes. The one batchrrom was particularly challenging snaking out the ""P"" pipe section, but he patiently stuck with it and cleared it. He also recommended some new equipment that I could purchase at the hardware store as well as some good products for preventive service. Thanks Conrad!

Mike M. from Discount Plumbing & Rooter was great. He arrived early and was very courteous. He even took the time to wear booties as he walked to the bathroom with the clogged toilet. During the assessment, he spent time to understand what happened and then ran a test to see the severity of the clog. Mike was upfront with the options and cost of the work to address the clog. After successfully unclogging the toilet (took some time and hard work!), he even offered to clean-up and put things back. I would definitely recommend and use Discount Plumping again based on my experience and their availability 7 days a week.

If I could give 10 star to them, I would. I had a major sewage problem in my 100 year old property in SF that required sewage line change. Mike came from discount plumbing on a Saturday, used Jet clean to temporarily clean the line and got the permit from the city to do the work to excavate and change the old clay lines. Even though dealing with such a major sewage problem was very stressful, Mike and his team acted so professionally and stayed on top of it that made it all a lot easier. Mike even went out of his way to go back to the property after the job done to make sure site is completely cleared.
