These people never worked on my house but let me tell you why they still deserve 1 star.

I first called about my plumbing issues on 10/22 at 11am. The First American Home Warranty only contracts Direct Connection for service calls in my area (Redlands CA). My service call appointment was scheduled for a Tuesday 10/24 in between 11:30 - 3:00pm. I left work early to be at my home on the day of to meet the tech and show him the issues with my new house. 5 hours later it's 4:30pm. No call, no-show. So I called their offices because I figured they would be gone by 5pm and I wanted to make sure I spoke to someone. No answer. I left a message and called 2 other phone numbers I found on the net for DC plumbing. Still no answer. I told First American of these events the following morning and sill, Direct Connection didn't call me to reschedule. I asked FA again to please schedule a service call 2 days later (Thursday 10/26 now) and they still didn't call me. Finally First American gets them on the phone; Direct Connection tells First American that they have availability on 10/30 and they don't know why a tech didn't show OR why I wasn't called OR why they didn't attempt to re-schedule with me.

I called a different company and scheduled a service call myself.

If you enjoy getting shown up like a prom date, please schedule your appointment with Direct Connection today!

I was referred to Direct Connection Plumbing by my home warranty company for a kitchen sink clog. The technician showed up within the 4 hour window(between 9am-1pm) they provided and was very polite.

The technician looked under the sink for about two minutes and told me he was going out to his truck to get his drill snake so he could clear the clog. The technician returned about 10 minutes later and said he spoke with the home warranty company and his supervisor and he could not snake the drain because we did not have a drain clean out. He provided me paperwork with a quote of $450 to install a drain clean out. I decided not to have him install the clean out at that time.

Less than 5 minutes after the technician left, I discovered there was actually a drain clean out directly below the kitchen sink drain. I quickly called Direct Connection Plumbing and told them there was a drain clean out. The lady called the technician to have him return to my house. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, she told me the technician did not have the correct snake on his truck so she would send another technician before 6pm. I told her that was in acceptable and asked to speak with a supervisor.

The supervisor answered the phone and told me the drain actually needed to be hydro jetted and they could do it for an additional cost. I told her what the technician told me and what the other lady told me and she quickly changed her story to match theirs. The supervisor became rude and defensive and eventually hung up on me.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use Direct Connection Plumbing!

I had a leak in my tub going into my downstairs neighbors unit. My home warranty sent me a company who didn't show and wasted a half day of my time. I called back to have another company to come and I was referred to Direct Connection (who, by-the-way, was the only one of just a few, able to come on a Saturday afternoon).

Unfortunately, the repairs needed were not covered under my warranty (from what I hear, this is very typical - hum). However, Direct Connection was here within the time period given. The plumber was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to give me recommendations on how to fix the problem. I would without doubt, recommend Direct Connection!

Direct Connection Plumbing is a great honest company. Our master bedroom toilet started leaking Saturday, our Homeowners Warranty company assigned a different company to do repair, well this company never called us Monday like we were promised so we called Warranty company again and asked them to send a different Plumbing Company, this was Tuesday late afternoon. Direct Connection called the very next day and said they could send someone between 2-6pm. At 2:30 Jeremy arrived, told him what was going on, he checked it out and 15 minutes later, repairs finished. Wife and I couldn't be more happy with Jeremy's work and how friendly and helpful he was. We definitely will be using Direct Connection Plumbing for any and all future repairs.

I had a problem with my garbage disposal and I called and spoke with a girl named Michelle and she said she would have a technician out the very next day. The next morning at 9 am there was a plumber at my door. He replaced my garbage disposal and cleared a shower drain I had backing up even though it wasn't on the work order. He was very polite and professional. I will be recommending this company to friends and family.

Either their plumber is A.) inexperienced B.) lazy or C.) a con man.

I had a leak recently on the line leading to my kitchen sink. Water was gradually leaking towards my backyard (luckily none of it was leaking into the house). My home warranty folks sent over a plumber from Direct Connection Plumbing. He actually came on time and seemed like a nice courteous guy. But when it came to inspecting the problem, he revealed his true colors.

He said it required a huge expensive fix and that the warranty would only cover $1500. My out-of-pocket after that would be over $3,300. He said the only option would be to re-route all my pipes through the walls and over the ceiling. This would require cutting into my kitchen walls and my ceiling to inlay new pipes, then patch everything up and hope for the best.

Are you kidding me??? In the nicest way possible I told him to get the f*** out of my house.

I then called an independent plumber on my own (not involving my warranty folks). He came out, was on time, and right away diagnosed the problem. It was simply a pinhole leak in the line leading to my kitchen sink. All he had to to was cut into the cement on the outside of the house about 4 or 5 inches and repair the pipe from the outside. He then patched up the wall and the cement outside. That's all. Done within a couple of hours. Total cost to me was about $300.

So Direct Connection Plumbing was wanting to charge me over $3,300 for all that work just for a simple leak that was done for about $300?? So.... A.) inexperienced, B.) lazy, or C.) con man. I'm beginning to think all of the above.

Don't use Direct Connection Plumbing.

If I could give this company 0 Stars I would. I DO NOT Recommend!!!!! I am only going through them because of my Home Warranty Plan and I have already filled a claim because of no service provided after they took my 75.00 deductible. Service Technician came out on August 21, 2017 to service my garbage disposal because it was shocked. I was told I had to wait a few days for them to order a new garbage disposal. It is already September 7, 2017 and still no garbage disposal. During this whole period not until today I was able to get ahold of someone. No one returned none of my voicemails.

I don't even know where to begin. I had my shower leaking into a downstairs neighbor and my home warranty sent this company out to diagnose and repair. The first plumber showed up and DEMOLISHED my downstairs neighbors ceiling and replaced a part on my tub.

I get a frantic call almost immediately that water is still pouring through the wall...

Had the ""Supervisor"" come back out and tell me I needed a shower valve. He condescendingly said my other shower ""needed"" a new valve as well. I might as well replace both. But installing a valve is not covered by warranty because it's a ""modification"". Something about legal mumbo jumbo, and the warranty won't pay. I'll do both for $640, he says... Awe, how nice (sarcastic).

Well, good thing I know how to read a warranty and valves ARE covered, when he explained he had to refit the plumbing, which wasn't covered, I knew it was BS, (thanks reddit /homeimprovement for the confirmation).

Called another plumber out and he said it was just the overflow cover seal. SUPER easy repair and didn't even require opening the wall.

In addition, they say they will come for appointments and never show up/follow up. The funny/sad thing is they opened a wall with mold spores in a house with a family, exposing them to a health risk and potentially violating code for dealing with mold.

Don't let this unscrupulous business talk you into or deceive you into fabricated repairs.

Update: Spoke with other plumber who did second opinion, they charged the warranty company for work they never completed. They then wanted to charge me for the same work they stated ""wasn't covered"", so basically they're operating a fraud scheme. BEWARE when they say somethings not covered and then want to charge on the side, illegal and abhorrent.

If your are looking for a company that will waste your time and never show up... give Direct Connection Plumbing a call!

These scum bags were supposed to come out to do a leak detection test on 8-16-2017, instead they sent a guy out that felt my floors only to confirm there was a leak under my Foundation (Ah DUH--something I already knew). I was looking for someone to come out and tell me where the leak was and what was involved with fixing it.

The guy told me he would have someone contact me to schedule an appointment with so Nick could bring his leak detection tools (I thought they were going to do that on the previous visit) to pin point the leak....

Never received a call. A day later, I called and scheduled an appointment for 8/22/2017 between 9-1.

August 22, 2017, 12:30 pm rolls around and I haven't heard anything from them... I called 951-405-3955 and spoke with Candice...she assured me the technician (NICK) would be out that day and he would call me 30 minutes before he arrived. I waited and waited, Nick never called. I called their office and they stopped answering my calls. They never showed.

Needless to say if you are looking for someone reliable, please do not contact DIRECTION CONNECTION PLUMBING!
