Gerardo, who owns this business, is prompt, gracious, and repaired my failing Sprinkler system in a few hours. He guarantees his repair for six months, as well. I would not hesitate to use him again.

I normally do not ever leave reviews but want potential customers to be weary and properly informed before making a decision to work with Dicks. I had a leak from a cluster of valves for my irrigation system and called Dicks to have it inspected. I assumed that one of the valves were not properly working which is why we had a leak resulting in a very expensive water bill. I communicated this to him as to help direct him in what I thought the issue was. His inspection consisted of him looking over and feeling some of the valves. He then proceeds to recommend that I should replace all of them, which would cost $175 each total of $1200. His justification was that he would not know which valve was leaking and that all would need to be replaced. Due to the price we replaced one valve which I thought had been leaking which of course we both acknowledged afterwards that it did not fix the leak. Of course he again reiterates as to why we should spend more than a grand to replace all of them. I said I would think about it as the cost was very high to replace all of them. Fast forward a few days later I ask my gardener to get a second opinion. He clears maybe an inch or so of dirt and finds that it isn't even the valve, that it is the pipe that leads into one of the valves. My issue with Dicks is that as homeowners many of us are not knowledgeable and hire professionals who many of us tend to trust. I spent money to fix a valve that wasn't needed and had to pay another party to fix the actual problem. Please do your due diligence and get a second opinion before committing to Dicks.

When we moved house, it became apparent that the irrigation system was not working as it should. We called Gerardo to overhaul the system and fix everything.

Gerardo spent a lot of time assessing the system and talking me through the various solutions. He recommended switching all the valves, and moving to a racchio Bluetooth control system. Initially I was wondering what advantage this would give me but having had it installed for six months, I can tell you it was the best decision I made. The racchio controller (which you buy yourself - he will just install it) has revolutionized our irrigation. It automatically adjusts for seasonal shifts and rain skip. You have so much control over your individual zones it is hard to express how amazing it is.
We now have a fully functioning system, with all new everything. Gerardo was very patient to fix all the areas that were not covered, he took time explaining things to me, no question was too silly or irrelevant. I honestly feel
that he gets a lot of joy from empowering his customers. Along the way, if there were additional things he saw that were not covered in his original quote, he made sure to talk it through with me and get agreement before he went ahead. I appreciate this willingness to work with customers budgets.
Now that we have finally planted up the remaining areas, this morning he came back to finish off the drip system. As ever he was on time, courteous and polite. I have really enjoyed working with Gerardo, and would not hesitate to recommend if you have any kind of problem or want advice with your system.

Gerardo is the Steve Jobs of irrigation. Set me up with a Radius water system that I manage from my phone. It is hooked into the internet and will adjust watering based on the weather. Good work ethic and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend

Did not show up for our scheduled appointment or respond to messages asking what the ETA An hour later, texted to say an emergency came up, but then continued to not respond to messages about a reschedule.

Update: Gerardo showed up today to apologize profusely, and even went so far as a written card and gift card. He explained they're growing so rapidly, and that comes with growing pains, like miscommunication and things falling through the cracks. It was still inconvenient to me and having an emergency cancellation come up last minute could have been handled better, but I'm touched by the attempt to rectify it and make good. If we hadn't already moved forward with someone else, we would give him another chance.

Adjectives. Sometimes they just don't get the job done. I'm sitting here in front of my computer running through the adjectives that might adequately describe Gerardo. Amazing. Professional. Knowledgeable. Punctual. Kind. Thoughtful. They're all true, but none of them really describe what it's like to hire Gerardo.

So . . . I'll just say this. If you have need for any kind of work on your sprinklers or landscaping, don't call anyone else. Call Gerardo. He's the right choice.

Gerardo came by this evening after his last appointment and repaired an incorrectly wired sprinkler valve. We now have a working irrigation system! He also walked me though the back yard and gave advice for how to care for our new tees. Would definitely call him again.

After calling over a dozen places and having to leave messages, I got a callback from Gerardo, who came out on a weekend -- in the rain -- to fix my problem, doing so efficiently and professionally. His service was so prompt and high quality that I'll be using him for all my irrigation needs from now on.
