Gerardo left my sprinkler repair in disrepair. He blamed earlier work. He fixed it. Did not own the fact that his work left my home in worse shape than when he found it. He fixed it with a lot of drama. Then. When his work failed I called him to come back and make it right and not only did he tell me that ""I have more valuable clients to take care of"" he said he would show up the next week and never did. No call. This guy is a crook.

This review only deals with his lack of skill as a businessperson and lack of customer service. My sprinkler/controller wasn't working properly. I had been given Dick's business card some time ago so I called. After hearing his voicemail announcement I was told that his voice mailbox was full! Shortly after I hung up I got a call from the owner saying he had a missed call from me. I told him his mailbox was full and he said ""yeah, I know. I have to take care of that"". He said he would come out the following day, & asked me to text him my address and phone #, which I did. He didn't show up, he didn't call. I texted him 2 days later. No reply. I called. His mailbox is still full. I went through Home Advisor today, got a phone call in a couple of hours, and the problem was diagnosed and fixed within an hour!

CON MAN! Dishonest!!! Please be aware of this guy. He is a liar and a dishonest man. He overcharges and claims to offer a warranty but when it comes to fixing the terrible job he did a few weeks later under warranty he looked for every excuse not to do the work!!! He even turned off the main water and claimed things wno leaking but luckily we discovered the main water supply was off. When we turned it on everything was still leaking! Dishonest man. Stay away! If I could give zero stars I would!!!!

All of a sudden you have developed a communication issue? There were no issues at all when we met and the con continues! I repeatedly asked you to leave my property otherwise I would call the cops and you refused to go for an entire hour! There was no communication issue and you need to stop conning people. I don't want your warranty. Yelpers, please don't fall for this man. See the date of his work license he has posted. It's dated for after my review. Dishonest man! Just shocking to me that you continue with this facade. Please leave me alone!

Last summer I had a sprinkler valve that would not stop leaking. I'd rebuilt them before so bought a kit and rebuilt it. It still leaked, so I rebuilt it again. It still leaked, so I called Dick's. Gerardo came out the next day and replaced the valve. We tested it a couple of times and it worked fine (no leak). Since it was late fall I dialed the system back and did not use it very much over the winter. This early spring I dialed the system up and it began leaking again. I called Gerardo, he came by, fixed it, no charge. I've not had a problem with it since. Gerardo was always professional, responsive and courteous, his price was fair, and he stood behind his work. I will use him in the future.

This guy is a con man. He never shows up when expected. He will over charge you, not do the work he says he'll do.
Example. $1,075 for less than 5 hours of work. Not hard work, drip line repair.
When confronted he got hostle, threaten to sue me ( wasn't going to pay until he finished), and called the police on me and said I threaten him.
I WOULD NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMAPANY!!!

This service was professional to the hilt. Comprehensive trouble shooting and job well done. On time arrival, and text messaging to facilitate our being home when Gerardo arrived. Pleasant, respectful, courteous and with extensive experience. Work done in a timely manner and done with consideration of our schedules so as not to inconvenience us. The pricing was extremely reasonable and honest, almost to the point of being ""too little."" We would recommend him most highly and without reservation.

Gerardo showed up on time as promised so that was good. However, he would not use the parts that I bought and insisted to use the ones he has. Even only one of the sprinkler valves was leaking, Gerardo suggested to replace all 3 valves plus the control. He was very thorough in his work but I feel he's on the expensive side.

I contacted Gerardo to help with my dying lawn. I had just put in new sod 5 months ago but the lawns was already dying! Gerardo was able to squeeze me in. He made some minor adjustments to my sprinklers. The bigger problem was my landscaper didn't install head to head coverage in the back. We set up some time for him to come back out and install 4 more sprinkler heads and an additional valve. I also took his recommendation and got a Rachio. I HIGHLY recommend getting a smart controller as it takes all the guess work out of watering. It'll auto adjust how much to water based on the soil and temperature. 4 weeks later, my lawn is lush and getting compliments from the neighbors! I will be keeping Gerardo's number in my phone for any future needs. My neighbor also used Gerardo to help with his lawn. :)

At first I was inclined to judge Dick's Sprinkler Repair harshly, because my scheduled service was delayed and my calls were not returned -- only to learn later that this is a small business and that Gerardo was ill for a time.
When he was back on his feet, he did a very fine job and reworked my whole system for a fair price. His attention to detail, courtesy, professionalism, and desire to make it right are rare among contractors in any business these days. Highly recommended!

Quick service! I had a problem with the irrigation system, a leaking pipe. Called Dick's and he came out right away and got it fixed, under an hour from my first call!
