In 2009, we fully transformed our approach and transitioned to a residential servicing company, providing maintenance, repairs, and replacements for home and light commercial equipment. We aimed to provide the Treasure Valley with reliable and superior service, and we strive daily to meet and exceed our clients' expectations. While in high school, Rick started in the HVAC industry, working on ductwork in new construction homes. He tied the knot with Sue Ellen right after high school and worked in the trade for seven years until 1999, when he decided to establish his own company, Diamond Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric.

Diamond's self-proclaimed 'most senior expert told me I'd have to replace all of my return ducts because 'having multiple ducts would place a restriction on the air flow and wear out the blower'. My knowledge of physics guarantees that was a bunch of B.S., so I didn't let Diamond do any work for me. Sure enough, the new furnace I installed didn't need any expensive duct replacement and works fine with no strain on the blower. I mentioned this to the company that did my work, and they laughed at the scam that Diamond tried to pull on me. Stay away from Diamond!
Already got a response from a manager at Diamond, and he wants to address this issue with the responsible person. I wish I could remember the fellow's name, but it's been a few months, and I didn't keep his card. It's good to know that the bad info I received isn't Diamond's normal advice, and it would have been better if I had called the manager directly at the time. Kudos to you, sir, for a quick response and the desire to improve!

Carlin P.We were very happy with this company. We called them for a second opinion after another company came to give us a furnace tuneup and told us we needed a brand new furnace. Diamond was polite and prompt and thorough. They took the time to explain everything to us. We did not need a new furnace and were able to get away with simply replacing a part, saving us $11,000. They even went the extra mile and called on our warranty to see if the part was covered- it was.
We would recommend this company to anyone.
Had Cord come out and do the estimate for our reroute of our ducting with a new kitchen remodel and inserting a new duct for our new island with down draft. The project was completed last year, Cord originally assessed going routing access through the foundation but then ran it through the vent from stove island. Other than that they did perfect! The owner personally came out and completed the specific ducting around our Narnia opening and they were very proficient.
Sublime electric came in afterwards and accidentally squished one of our duct vents in the crawl space and they paid to have Diamond come back out and replace it! All in all these guys rock!!! We even tipped them as they gave us a great bid!

Jule E.I want to tell you a story. For one I am disabled, and on the short leash of disability income. My furnace had locked itself out. No heat at all. I checked everything I could, fuses, flame issues, schematic, etc, and decided I need a professional.
I always research my options. Checked on line for parts costs. That was important, as in an estimate, you should know original cost, and then the mark-up. I called 10 companies. Basically, interviewing calls. Others that I did call were short and abrupt with me. Not the type I wanted to deal with.
Diamond Heating and Cooling, was called, more as an informational call. I wanted to find out costs, as that concerned me. What was the conversation going to be like?
Diamond reached out to me in our conversation, which thoroughly surprised me, as that is uncommon. They were warm in conversation, made a very considerate connection. Made every single effort in my best interests.
Their technician Bradley was phenomenal. He worked on problem solving. We found the little fix. No stating I needed expensive parts, NO sales tactics. I was so relieved. The service call and costs were more than reasonable. *No enticement by using low service call costs for evaluation, then higher costs for a repair. Like others.
I FULLY trust them. I have no doubt that no matter the situation with me, in the hospital or whatever, that I can count on them for sincerity and honesty. *That a job will be done right, with full consideration towards the client. RESPECT, AND PROFESSIONALISM.

Ann B.We had a new HVAC system installed by Diamond in April 2017. The furnace stopped working in December 2018. Diamond came out and charged us over $200 to fix it. Ridiculous! So much for standing behind their products.
Raf R.Called Diamond after a scheduling issue with another company. These guys were on time, and executed my gas fireplace service with professionalism and outstanding customer service. They put on booties before entering my home, laid down a work blanket in front of my fireplace and performed a full safety check and cleaning of the unit. They educated me on the unit, which was very helpful since I haven't had the fireplace serviced in 15 years. It was like having a family member help you out. I feel confident using my fireplace now, it looks better than the day I moved in (they cleaned the glass and vacuumed the inside) and I know it is safe to use. Thanks.

Carl Y.What could have been a terrible situation turned out ok during the hottest days of 2018. In late July, we called for service as the A/C seemed to have gone south. Diamond sent out a tech on. Friday PM. I was amazed that they responded on the same day, within hours.
The tech quickly found a complete evaporator coil failure and rapidly leaking coolant. Now with an 11 year old builder quality unit things didn't look good. A quick pencil out seemed to point to a $1500-$2200 repair. (Look up the cost for just a complete refill of the old R-22 coolant.) Add on the cost of rebuilding the housing for a new larger coil, removal and replacing the furnace unit and it began to look like it might be cheaper and easier to go with a new furnace and A/C. I requested price estimates on either option.
Rob, the ""comfort councilor""came out that same night. He was working the weekend shifts and quickly gave me both options. With my engineering background and some knowledge of HVAC prices, I felt he gave me honest and realistic price estimates. So the new option won the day over paying almost the same as a repair and still having an 11 year old furnace.
Now, the question was when could this be done. Being an honest guy he said, ""We are running a week and a half out with installations"". Yike, ""I said"" But he said Diamond could loan us a 10,000 BTU portable until the date of installation. They have quite a few loaners for this purpose and we could roll it between the bedroom and dining room/kitchen. Life Saver!!!! And since we would be gone to Alaska for most of that time, no great heat stroke for us.
On our return, the crew came and installed the whole new setup in 5 hours. Heaven can't be nicer than a perfectly running A/C and super quiet. Give a high 5 for Diamond. They were quick, professional and kept their word. We put them on for our yearly maintenance too.
