Both Jesse and Naaem have worked on plumbing in my home. Such a great thing to have local people who have been in the trade for years come to the rescue with water heaters, garbage disposals, faucets, etc. Jesse installed both a tank heater and a tankless hot water heater. I recommend them highly. And after just learning what one of my friends paid for his hot water heater service! Wow. Deskin's plumbing prices are very competitive. Also they work with Rubenstein Supply, which I am a big fan of!

When knowledgable people meet kind and caring neighbors, that is what is Deskins Plumbing.

Jesse is a West Oakland neighbor. He came to my house to repair an antique faucet. He was highly recommended by my neighbors and friends and didn't disappoint. The faucet is something that when I showed it to Ashby Plumbing, I was told that I should go to Sink Factory to get repaired. And, because I'm no plumber I was insecure venturing into disconnecting a part that was expensive to replace at equal quality.

Jesse came by and in the matter of about 90 minutes with a quick run to the hardware store or his clearly extensive Arsenal of tools and resource to fix antiques and hard to fix items without having to spend a fortune.

I highly recommend his gracious personality and genius ability to solve plumbing problems, large and small.

He returns phone calls, comes to our house with very fair estimates and follows thru with what he says with no surprises. My wife and I had just bought our first home, so we were swimming in contractors. Unlike a lot of contractors we had been communicating with, Naeem was very responsive from the start, even chatting on the phone while he was out of town. He was honest, observant, and very solution-oriented. I would definitely work with him again.

Deskins Plumbing took the plumbing in my house out of the Stone Age and into the modern world. And probably prevented a disaster while doing it.

Let's make a long story short: My upstairs bathroom was leaking into my downstairs room. Naeem (the fellow running the show) looked, tinkered and figured out the previous homeowners had some very very wack plumbing installed and covered up.

Naeem gave me options the entire way, giving me the choice to give the plumbing a makeover or simply patching up the most problematic areas. I like Naeem, but I don't want him coming over to do more work anytime soon, so he gave it the makeover.

The difference is night and day.

I had a leak from my cutoff at the house out to the main utility meter. In full disclosure, I was referred to Deskin's Plumbing from my father-in-law who'd also had success with this outfit, as well as stating that Naeem was a stand up guy.

I had already had a couple of bids on the job when I called Naeem, and he was sort of too booked up to work with me (initially). He gave me a lot of free advice over the phone regarding things to look for and even how I could sort of do due diligence on the other contractors. Luckily, while I was waiting for another bid to come through, Naeem got back to me and had an opening. He worked with me a bit on his already fair estimate, and that was much appreciated on my end.

In full disclosure, his outfit wasn't the cheapest bid, it was more or less in the middle. But I've had enough bad experience with contractors to know better than to take the cheapest bid over reliability. It was obvious to me that this was a good guy that stood behind his work and had decades of experience. I went with Deskins and was not disappointed. They got in and out quickly, my family loved him, and the permit inspection was approved on the first inspection.

If you're looking for a plumber to give you a fair price (not ridiculously cheap...but reasonable and fair), AND do a great job, I can definitely give my ""virtual vouching"" for Deskins Plumbing.
