I had 2 issues with my bath tub. The technician, Michael S. came out the next day, right on schedule. Michael was friendly, attentive, and got right to work. All issues were resolved quickly and neatly. I was very impressed. I will use this company again. Good job!

If I could give a zero, I would. Summary, incompetent and money grabbing.

First technician showed up and talked to my husband saying the pilot would be replaced.

I got an email to confirm the order thinking it was true to what was discussed with my husband. But no, they added in the gas valve, which my husband wasn't happy about after it was all done. It didn't make sense to change out the gas valve first as it lit but just wouldn't stay on. And the second guy that came out to do the valve ended up banging and denting up the tank in the process! It took him two hours to do it when he said it should've only taken half an hour. He said he was overheated and just kept saying over and over that he couldn't think. Apparently, at one point he had called in for backup. I'm pissed off that this guy was working on my tank while he clearly couldn't think right. It ended up not turning back on not long after he left.

Second time. I asked for a new tech as the guy seemed to not really know what he was doing. The lady over the phone refused, and I made sure they came on a day my husband was off. So he came back to fiddle around and say it's a lost cause. That they only repair one item and then replace the entire thing. This heating tank is only 2 1/2 years old! It's still under warranty! Get the parts and fix it! He continued these outlandish claims that it could be refurbished. It clearly wasn't from the dates on it. We found out all of these claims are false. Desert Rain sent me texts asking if my gas bills have been abnormal. I texted back no and the lady said ""ok perfect. I'll be submitting a claim for a new water heater"". Over a week later, I'm trying to figure out between Choice Warranty and Desert Rain what the heck happened to my claim. Turns out it was closed after the attempt to repair the gas valve. So I asked Desert Rain why they were working on my tank without notifying me or my warranty that the claim needs to be reopened. And why would you saying you were sending the update to my warranty to then do absolutely nothing! It's been a month since this went out and I have little kids, one with a medical condition, taking ice baths. Then they said we would have to pay for a new tank. I'm not paying for a new tank when it's not necessary. Desert Rain is just inexperienced and not wanting to fix it.

AOSmith (water heater) sent us the parts necessary saying that it WILL be fixed with one of them. They said if we continued with Desert Rain, which she didn't recommend, (hell no I'm not staying with Desert Rain, even if it does end up getting replaced. Experience isn't there) that whomever they sent out could always call them to troubleshoot and also go through the list of possibilities. AO Smith AND Parker and Sons both clearly stated that Desert Rain Plumbing had no clue how to do this. And it was really messed up that they were only willing to replace and not fix. Parker and Sons fixed it in 30 minutes.

Overall, this company is incompetent and a money grab.

Hats off to Matt from Desert Rain plumbing. Desert Rain Plumbing was contracted through my home warranty and responded within hours the repair of leaky faucet . Home Warranty authorized faucet replacement which was completed by Matt within 24 hours of my claim . Matt was very courteous and outgoing. I would definitely use Desert Rain Plumbing and technician mat again !

Tried to charge me an extra $885 along with home warranty replacing the unit. I asked for an itemized invoice/ estimate of what is being done but gave me a vague estimate and telling me to pay $885. But to tell me need modifications and to be up to code is all bullshit. Then I had time believing what they were really going to do. So I pulled up the city and county codes and there was no difference of the installation from 6 years ago. Just needed an expansion tank and new water heater and of my choice which will be all installed myself. You don't to be a rocket scientist to install a simple water heater.

We had a small issue with our toilet. We put the request in to the warranty company at the end of day on a Wednesday. Thursday at 1:30 Daniel came out to fix the issue. He was very honest and professional. I highly recommend this company. If you have a home warranty company request this company specifically and when you make the appt ask for Daniel.

Just have to say something good about this company, and our technician Anthony.
Made a claim with my warranty company late one evening and had an appointment the next morning. Then Desert Rain moved my appointment up. The tech was great, the job was done well and quickly.
I highly recommend these people!
