Recommended Customer Reviews
Plumber did a good job installing a new garbage disposal. This poor review has nothing to do with the quality of work. It has to do with the outrageous prices that Delta Plumbing charges. When I called to get someone out I asked for the approx. price to replace a garbage disposal. They would not give me one, but when they arrived they gave me an outrageous estimate of $664 (with a coupon of $50 I paid $614). The disposal itself is around 100+ dollars. It took them 45 minutes to replace. I went ahead with it because I did not want to pay them for their trip charge, my disposal was leaking and I was not in a position to change it myself. This will be the last time I use Delta Plumbing!!
I made an appt to have my septic pumped with this company. When tech arrived, as I attempted to verify the price, he instantly responded that's the starting price unless there is something else wrong. Called me out to my backyard after digging up the septic to tell me that the tank is cracked and I needed to replace it at a price of $6,000.00, which I could not afford. Tech went on to say they offered financing and the back wall of the tank could fall in at anytime which would back up my house, I would have a sink hole in my backyard, etc. I informed him again that I could not afford it right now. I inquired about repair and the tech stated the septic tank was too old. I went on to ask if he could just pump the tank. All of a sudden the advertised price of $249 went up to $767!! I refused to do any business with this company. I called another AWESOME septic company who came out a few hours later, dug up the septic and informed me that it was a """"fresh crack"""", I have the invoice to prove it. This company stated that I didn't need my tank replaced, or a pump for at least another year, and repaired the crack. BEWARE OF DELTA PLUMBING! It seems as though they cracked my tank and tried to scam me out of $6,000.00! I have the estimate from them and the invoice from the company that repaired the crack.
It's rare when a problem at home triggers an urgent phone call to a plumber is """"not"""" bad news. But Delta Plumbing Service responded immediately! Jacob evaluated the entire plumbing system, identified the problem, explained the cause, and offered a very reasonable price to remove & replace the damaged sewer drain pipe. He was professional, polite, and seemingly sincere about providing an expensive service at a more than fair price. Additional work is planned. Will definitely request working with Jacob and his team again.
They fixed the broken pipe issue, but left my yard a mess and told me multiple times that someone would be out to clean up the yard. I kept on them and finally someone shows up when we are not home and did a terrible job of smoothing the dirt and putting down grass seed. It cost me $350 to """"fix """" the mess they made. Nearly a year later, it does seem like the repair job is holding, so I'm thankful for that.
This firm advertised and quoted a low price over the phone for septic tank pumping then charged a price 4x higher... classic 'Bait and Switch'. I discussed with the manager, Jason, and requested a partial refund since the price charged was so much higher than what was quoted via phone even though I explained the type of service that was needed. I even asked how the price was much lower than comparable service providers before I made the service appointment. The manager promised to review and call back, and has yet to return a single call after I have called multiple times and left multiple messages for almost 2 weeks. He is always """"in a meeting and will call back."""" Consumer Beware!! Lesson learned: If the price is too good to be true, it probably is!
Scott A.I have used Delta in the past to replace a fractured plastic water supply line leading from the meter into the house. They did an excellent job at that time, and this time around was no exception. We had a clog in the somewhere in the waste line connected to the shower, tub and sink in the master bath. The techs quickly located the clog, and had the bathroom back online. They also took care of a ground water leak where the water main enters the foundation.
Awful and rude! First moment they started cut my cable and internet line. When confronted they knew what they had done but didn't care. I asked if they would fix it since they broke it and their response was """"no! We don't do that"""" Tried calling the office to get some help but only was able to reach a scheduling department which told me she would give the message to front office which was still open and that they would take care of it. I never heard back. Very bad customer service to not return a call. They also left piles of dirt in both my yard and my neighbors. Looks awful. I could only assume if they do this poor of a job on what you can see then what you can't see must be so much worse. If I could give zero stars I would.
Questionable Solution Tactics..... Associate came out to house to fix shower faucet in guest bathroom(half bath). Was a very small bend on the pipe connected to the shower faucet. All that needed to be done was to gently bend pipe back straight and re-seal faucet to shower wall. I figured better them to take care of this than myself as it would probably look better if a pro fixed it. This didn't happen though. Instead, associate looked at faucet, did nothing to fix problem, and immediately rendered a very radical and unnecessary solution. Tear dry wall out on other side of shower in bedroom closet, redo pipe work, not re-patch dry wall and leave. Verbal quote was $600. Got a very unfavorable vibe about the associate's ability to render solution. They did nothing. Would not help re-seal faucet, collected $39 for their """"show up fee"""" and left. I'm fortunately only out a minor amount of money, thankfully. I ended up having to fix the problem myself, and pay them, for no service on their part, and had to attempt the work myself. It worked out ok, thanks to me, and I paid them. Was hoping for a pro, that obviously wasn't in the cards. Instead, got the run around, and witnessed not a pro, but a strong attempt on their part to gain financial latitude and the heck with the customer. I may write a letter to their executive team and contact the better business bureau. So disgusted and dissapointed. Be careful, there are still people who take your money and that's about it. Thanks for your time and watch out for these folks....
They showed up when they said they would and it would seem that our plumbing leak is fixed. Pricier than I expected. First price estimate was $1500 for breaking up concrete, digging & finding the leak then fixing it. After 2-3 hours, they had used up the $1500 and were into """"Time & Materials"""". Came back the next day and found & repaired the leak using the excavator that we loaned them. Time included 2 hours (which was strangely around lunch) to go get parts to fix the pipe. I was surprised that they didn't have the proper parts with them. They knew the size of the pipe, how come they didn't bring a couple of elbows and regular water line supplies? Then they suggested that we needed a load of dirt because the dirt that came out of the hole was mostly mud. The mud went back into the hole and we needed maybe 1/4 of a load of dirt. Then we paid the 3 Stooges to come back and load the unused dirt (using the Bobcat we loaned them) back into a landscape trailer that wouldn't hold all the dirt. We ended up cleaning up the last of the dirt and using it on our property. Final bill came in at over 3 times the estimate. I would think that for $5000 they'd have technicians that knew better than to walk into a retail showroom straight out of a mud pit. Did it not once, but 3 times before we told him to take off his shoes. The work is done and my employees are cleaning the parking lot but if there is a next time we will probably call someone else.
Michael O.Delta was to come assess and repair a faucet in our bathroom. Told they'd come Saturday """"morning,"""" providing no real appointment time. We waited until 1pm. No call from them. We called them. Their response was they're """"tied up with another job"""" and will no get to us today. WTF? Why didn't they call us and sooner? Wasted our hold morning a bit of afternoon waiting for them. That's TERRIBLE customer service. I'll never call them again. Never.
