Water heater install.

Positive - The install was scheduled on the same day. The customer services reps were helpful to get the order in
Negative - The installer made excuses for not extending the line and charged extra $65 for a valve. The customer services rep at that time said it is a basic install only and price not guaranteed. Later on, I provided the quotes for similar install and clearly marking the base install and parts extras from Lowes, that resulted in a difference of $300/- but I never got the price match money.

Water heater blew out. Same day service.
Delta Mechanical sent their installer Angel out. The man did a top notch install, was articulate and friendly. Lots of code upgrades in the install.
We thought we had a little issue but it turned out to be nothing. Angel swung by the house and retested everything and we're good to go. Permit was pulled by DM.
Very pleased.

We recently had our water heater installed by this company and it was a bit of a disaster. At first everything was going smoothly. They installed our new one and removed the old one in just a few hours. This company was backed by home depot so I expected them to take care of our installation with no issues. After they left the ceiling started to leak water from a light socket and there were water pockets forming all over our stairwell ceiling. They had forgotten to tighten a bolt that keeps water in and it was an absolute disaster. I called the mechanic about the issue and he returned within an hour to fix the problem but the damage was already done to our ceiling. He fixed the problem but we now have to make a claim with the company to fix the damages. ugh...

My HOA company hired these clowns to install new water lines and valves in our condos and we have had nothing but trouble since.
The installers didn't speak very good English, they promised to come back and fix my neighbors water to her fridge and they never showed she had to pay someone to come in and complete the job.

I noticed the valves to my toilet were cracked and I had mold in my kitchen when we started to do our remodel recently.

My contractor replaced the toilet valves and when he removed our kitchen cabinets there was mold from the leaking water valves under my kitchen sink.

I called Delta Mechanical and they told me the warranty was for only 2 years and it is now 3 years and they will not be doing anything about the mold just said sorry about your problem.

I would never recommend this company to anyone not even my worst enemy, Home Depot you need to really rethink your choice in contractors.

Horrible experience!

Their installation looks ok, but price, service is horrible. I don't understand why home depot has a partnership with them.

As water leaking, I need replace my water heater, $600 water heater, they charged me more than $900 for installation. I check with other contractors who only charged average $500 with permit cost.

Then, they give me wrong product, I order 12 yrs 50 gals gas water heater, they gave me 9 yrs.

Then, luckily, home depot stepped in to help me out, otherwise, Delta didn't want to do any exchange and price match with me instead of gave me only $100 gift card.

Lastly, it took me 6 months to replace the wrong model and still I don't get price match and $50 rebate so far.

Anyway, because their installation looks ok, I gave them 1 star, otherwise, NULL!

I don't recommend this contractor!!! Home depot looks ok.

Sorry 1 star is all your gonna get. bought a water heater from Home Depot we scheduled an appointment through Delta to have it installed, no issues.... so when the guy installed it, didn't have a drip pan with him so he had to come back and unhook everything and shut the water off again to put in a drip pan, then reinstall everything all over again.... so we scheduled an appointment with the state inspector who failed the installation....so had to reschedule another appointment with Delta got the same guy who by this time, 3rd time has an attitude and said that he was doing us a favor by doing the extra work to install it.....I told him that what he gets paid is not my problem and that if he had put it in right the first time we wouldn't be having this conversation...so now have to schedule another appointment with the inspector to see if it will pass....I will never use Delta Mechanical again for any plumbing or installations.

2.5 stars really. This company installed a toilet I purchased through Home Depot. The actual installation was fine and I'm happy with the end result. The process, however, was a nightmare. After scheduling a week out to make sure I could get a Saturday morning appointment due to my work schedule, I was informed the day before that they would be moving my appointment to Saturday afternoon. Not ideal, but whatever; I let it go. Then Saturday morning they called to say that due to a higher priority job, I was bumped off the schedule for the day and would have to choose another day. I thought about canceling the entire order at that point but didn't want to start the process all over somewhere else (Home Depot didn't have an alternative installer), so I rescheduled for a weekday and arranged for someone else to let the installer in while I was at work. When scheduling, I specifically asked if the job would require me to shut off the water. I live in a building in which I would need to inform my neighbors 48 hours in advance because the water shutoff is for the entire building and not just my unit. I was told no. The installer took one look and said he had to shut off the water. So I had to reschedule again AND Delta Mechanical had the nerve to ask Home Depot to collect an extra trip charge from me due to failed install. Needless to say, I refused, and HD waived it. Install finally happened on third attempt. Bottom line, if you only care about end product and saving money, and are willing to have a huge hassle along the way, this is the installer for you!

Water heater started leaking on a Sunday. Saw that Home Depot advertised installation same day. Sales associate had us on phone with Delta and we had an appointment for the next day (did not install on Sundays despite nothing in advert exempting Sundays). Given a quoted price and was promised email with contact info. When we received emailed invoice, small difference in quote, wrong address and no contact info leading to web search and horrible yelp reviews. Apprehension sets in. Called the company early Monday to give correct address and enquired about different quotes and was given third number.

Technician called prior to arrival, which was early. Water heater installed. Just passed inspection.

One star off for different quotes and no Sunday service although nothing explicit in Home Depot advertising.

Ironically, if Delta included its phone number on the invoice, I never would have known about its yelp reviews.

I ordered a water heater in February 2017 through Home Depot. Home Depot informed me that Delta Mechanical would install the water heater for me the next day. Delta Mechanical did not show for their scheduled appointment. After calling Delta Mechanical they rescheduled me for the next day. The water heater was installed, but required a city builder's inspection. It failed, again I had to wait for the installer to inspect his work. Failed to show for scheduled appointment again, and had to reschedule. Finally, resolved all issues company does not care about your time.

It is now three months later, and the water heater is leaking at the top of the heater to the pipe. Called Delta Mechanical to resolve issue on their installation. Their earliest availability is tomorrow afternoon. Will they show up for their appointed time tomorrow?

DO NOT USE DELTA MECHANICAL.

THINK TWICE IF YOU THINK HOME DEPOT INSTALLATIONS IS A SAFE BET FOR THE JOB

BEWARE, I was referred to them by the Home Depot web for a Water Heater replacement. I I I placed my order on line, since they failed to call me back after they said they would on the phone. The quote on their web for a 40 gal water heater, out the door, including permit, according to their estimate was $1,146.30, which I agreed to it. I was supposed to get a call back within 2 hours, which never happened. I called to follow up, they said their computers were down, and after the third transfer to the person that was supposed to help me to finish processing my order, I was told that they were not accepting payments on line, and needed to pay them directly upon completion, AND that the quote I got on line DID NOT include the permit and the new quote was a LOT MORE. (The estimate clearly stated that the permit was included. After they made me waste precious time, I ended up calling another Plummer that was only about $50 more. Very disappointed about Home Depot using this company as their contractor.
