We purchased a service contract with Del-Air in 2022. This contract included two cleaning, preventive maintenance services, and a discount on any parts needed. I contacted them in March 2023 to schedule our second service per our agreement. Unknownst to me my service agreement expired about 5 days prior to my call. They never contacted me as a courtesy reminder and my bad, I never added the expiration date to my calendar. Needless to say, they would not honor the second cleaning. I was charged $89 and was told if I waited until April to schedule the price would increase. This was unacceptable to me so I asked to speak with a manager. To charge me only a few days after the expiration of the contract did not seem fair. I was connected with Bart Baker who offered to sell me a new service agreement and apply the $89 charge to that cost. I said absolutely not when I felt I lost out on the first contract why would I purchase a second one? we finally reached an agreement that the right thing to do would be to refund the $89 and count it as my second cleaning from the 2022 agreement. Since we both agreed I felt this would be taken care of once my bank cleared the charge. Well, today is April 10, and I am still waiting for my refund. I have tried to contact Bart by leaving voice messages (2), texts, and emails. I am not being a Karen about this so there should not be any reason why I cannot reach anyone to assist me further. I guess I can dispute the charge with my bank and that may be my next step. This is a buyer-beware situation. I would hate to have you end up in the same situation as me. I think my days with Del-air are over.

Del Air sold me a new AC system less than 2 years ago. Part of the sales pitch is their size related to sales and service. My AC system went out last week. After waiting 5 days to get service appointment, I was told by the service rep that the part needed is not in stock and may need to be ordered. I was warned that some parts are back ordered without firm arrival dates. My question is why buy a system from this large firm if they cannot even back up the products, they sell with prompt service. I am sure the sales department sold many systems today. Some that will be installed the tomorrow (which sold me). Too bad they cannot back up the follow up service like they back up the quick sales and installation of a new system. If you cannot repair my system, replace it! Do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer in a timely manner, my time, almost a week without a working system, not your timeline of arriving to my home this evening.

Basically a Rip-off !!!! Used them only because my AC was under warranty with them, charged us $500 to replace a part that is under warranty!!!!!

Terrible experience, they will charge you to """"misdiagnosis"""" your unit and suggest you to buy a new one for 10K. Here is the whole experience if you want to know more: Our Carrier 5T unit was originally supplied and installed by Del-Air, so when we move in to this house, we bought the annual service package from Del-Air. When we had problem with our A/C, here is what we experienced: 1) It took couple of days for them to send somebody to check on the unit in the hot summer; 2) Del-air tech finally came and spent a long time checking the unit and told us the compressor is bad, it's 8 years old, we would be better off buying a new one, even we had paid $300 for the annual service, we still paid $100 for his """"diagnosis"""", and made an appointment with their sales; 3) Luckily we called 2 other companies to give us a quote so we can make a more informed decision. The 2nd morning, a salesman from another local contractor K company (this salesman is also obviously technically savvy) took a look at our unit, in less than half an hour he fixed it, turned out it wasn't the compressor, it was just a loose connection. This salesman from K company (I'm not listing this company's name here just so Del-air won't think I'm paid by their competitor to write this review) didn't charge us $100 for diagnosis, he didn't charge anything, he fixed the problem and told us there is still life in our Carrier unit. Our A/C has been working fine since. 4) The Del-air sales finally arrived, we told him the whole story, and asked for $100 refund, instead he just kept on pitching us to buy a new unit from Del-air, and if we buy a new unit, he would write off the $100 """"diagnosis"""". This is the whole experience we had. Del-air is not responsive, charge you extra for their technician's """"misdiagnosis"""" so they can pitch you to buy a new unit for $10K, when you asked for a refund for the misdiagnosis, turns out the only way to get a refund is to spend 10K for a new unit. This is a truly horrible business practice! I personally work for one of the biggest commercial A/C manufacture, I understood how important a good installation is to an A/C. I will strongly suggest you to stay away from this company. This is really a terrible terrible experience.

The soonest I could set an appointment was two days out, around noon. I took the day off to be home and called at 3:30 and after waiting on hold for just about 15 minutes, they informed me that they had all my info from my previous call, but they had no appointment actually set up. They couldn't come for another two days. No thanks.

Saturday night our AC was running but not producing cold air. Woke up to the house being at almost 90 degrees. I tried contacting them Sunday morning and was told I'd recieve a text which I didn't then my wife tried calling and they said they were going to have someone come out same day. Noone ever came and my wife couldn't get a hold of noone at the company. My wife is pregnant and I have a 3 yr old and dog. The house reached 90 degrees so they had to sleep at my in laws. Today which is monday, I recieve a text that they will be reaching out to me first thing in the morning. Its now almost 2pm and nothing. So am now going with Elite instead. Also FYI Del Air installed my heating and ac on my new house build and it was shotty work. No longer using them.
