I called on Thursday afternoon & was placed on the schedule for Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon came & went. Friday night @ 7:45pm I received a call from 407-333-2665 (Del Air Heating) to apologize & reschedule for Saturday morning. Well, Saturday morning came & went, so did the afternoon, Sunday & most of Monday morning. 11:19am, Patty from Del Air called & left a message informing me that I was on the schedule (lucky me) & she wanted me to call her back. Right! Thanks for leaving me hanging Del Air, it is your turn to wait.

Brand new install 3 years ago in a new construction build. Both the indoor coils and outdoor circuit board went out. They charged me $400 to not fix anything and then a week later informed me nothing was covered under warranty and I would basically need to purchase a new system. Garbage company

Had a tech come out on Tuesday because of water dripping from our ceiling. Was informed that a Filter Back Return Air Grille was never installed in our system and now we must have that installed as well as have our Evaporator Coil pulled and cleaned. They want to charge us $2000 for these services as a result of their own negligence. I have been trying to reach a supervisor since Tuesday morning and they refuse to return my call. In the meantime I have reached out to other local AC companies and discovered that not only are they trying to make us pay for their mistake, but Del Air is also quoting more than DOUBLE what the other companies charge for the same services.

BEWARE.... They came out and said my coil was leaking, The unit was 15 months old, they called back and said the part was covered by warranty and I would only have to pay for labor and Freon. I agreed as I knew their charges from the 1st call out. The guy took under 3 hours and gave me a handwritten invoice for $1094. They are now ignoring my request for a break down of what I was charged for. Bad customer service, rotten way to treat a customer. Use another company that is honest and trustworthy.

Del-Air techs were out at my house six times after installing a new evaporator in my 5-ton Trane heat pump unit but they could never get the unit to run correctly. One tech told me that the flashing red lights on the control panel didn't mean anything and I had to show him the Trane error code list. Another tech, after two hours of working on the unit said he could not find anything wrong even though it was 85 degrees in the house and the thermostat was set at 75. He said I should call Del-Air back in a week if it still was not working and left. Worst trained people I ever saw. Called Pipeline Mechanical and they corrected the problems on the first try, which included reinstalling the evaporator which Del-Air had done wrong.

I purchased a brand new unit, Del Air came in and it took literally 24 hours to install it. While they were doing that they ruined the 1st floor unit, to add more salt to the injury, they tried to claim that the unit was bad before they showed up. Next day several managers showed up to my house apologized and fixed the new and old unit. 3 months later the new unit stopped working, when they sent a tech out, he advised that the compressor went bad, how could this be in a brand new unit that was designed to work for 10 years?!?!? Anyway, we agreed to fix the unit in order to avoid the heat since we have a baby. 1 year later to the day, the unit stops working again, we called Del Air once more, AGAIN the compressor is bad!!! this time though, they advised that the labor is out of warranty and the cost to replace the part is $2500. I called I complained nothing came out of, their answer was it's what it's. I turned around and called the manufacturer """"Carrier"""", they advised this is not likely for the comprossor to go bad twice on a brand-new unit and instead Del Air need to rectify the issue. I called several AC companies after that they all agreed that Del Air is the root cause and that there is a deeper issue that should be addressed most likely due to the faulty original installation less than 2 years ago. Truly horrible experience and I would never be doing business with Del Air nor would I would recommend them to anyone else.

I was having an intermittent problem and each time I called for a technician to look at the A/C unit the problem was not present. This time they sent out a very nice young man (Andrew), he listened very carefully to everthing I told him that was happening. Within 30 minutes he had found what appeard to be the problem part. He replaced it and ran the unit through its cycle several times. The real test would be the next several days to see if the problem returmed. I am happy to say that I had not had the issue any longer, YAY! Thank You Andrew for listening and locating the problem.

I have dealt with Del-Air for more than 25 years. They have serviced my air-conditioners and my son's, and have replaced the units at our houses when needed. They have replaced the four units in my house at least twice and my son's a/c once for a total of at least 9 units possibly 13,(my memory for A/C units installed is faulty due to my blocking out the high cost of them) . They perform maintenance on my four units at home, the two units at my office, my son's and an a/c in Gainesville when they went there, and that of my sister-in-law. I thought this was a a service oriented company, and had continued to utilize their services, even though I could obtain those services cheaper elsewhere. My son's 1 1/2 year old air conditioner stopped working- a unit the Del-Air had installed and serviced twice yearly. The technician said that the blower was bad, and that that he did not have one on his truck. Because they did not have to manufacturer's part in stock, they could install a temporary motor for a rental fee of $125. Let me re-iterate- They did not have the part so they are charging an extra $125 ! How convenient. I called the company, and asked to speak with the general manager. He was """"in a meeting"""", and I was told he would call me back. To my amazement, he did call back. I explained the situation to him, and with a condescending, dismissive manner, he explained what I already knew. He did not care that we had a long history with the company. I do have to hand it to him, he was rude in the most polite way. I think he thought he was talking to a person of limited intelligence. and expected me to apologize after explaining the situation to me. The fact that i discussed moving my business, in a non-threatening manner, elsewhere fazed him not one whit. I can't understand that he is willing to lose all of my business over what I think is a revenue generating scam. I told him that I might not be his biggest customer, but I was probably his most loyal one. He did not care about this, and now I see that loyalty is valueless to this company, a """"so called"""" employee owned firm. I think it is just a case of the employee-owners, trying to wring every single penny that they can from their best asset, their customers, or in this case, a former customer. Funny how going from employees to owners changed their philosophy.

Just had routine maintenance contract service performed on two home systems installed & maintained by Del-Air since 2003. Technician found a broken float valve switch on one unit. Apparently broken & taped up by prior Del-Air tech. The switch was replaced in 10 minutes. Retail price for same switch is $40 online. Del-Air price is $225!! That does not include any labor or service call since tech was already here doing routine service. I called to inquire if pricing was correct. Was told that is what Del-Air charges for a float switch. No labor was added to charge. That's the last service call I'll make to Del-Air. When my 19 year old systems get replaced, I'll call someone else.
