Our A/C is not cooling properly, and a warranty repair is turning into an expensive nightmare. So far we have experienced extremely poor service, non-responsive 'management', unreasonably long hold times on the phone. Del-Air charged my credit card $1,100. in advance, promising to install the part under warranty part the next day and did not show up or call. Now the part is apparently on backorder with no ETA. We are going with another company but obtaining a refund from Del-Air for the pre-paid labor is a very frustrating and time-consuming process. We are not using this company again!

Update on DelAir customer service. They were not able to complete our repair the evening they came, so said they would reschedule a time to come back. They told us they'd be here today """"after 12 noon"""". Waited all day. No one showed up. Called service dept and was told the tech had weather delays and wouldn't be here tonight. I asked why the tech didn't call us to let us know he wasn't coming. She said they """"were in the process of texting"""" people to let them know. Won't be holding my breath for that text! Poor communication from the company, beware!

I've been using them for maintenance since 2006. Anyhow the last 5 years they were always trying to sell me a capacitor. On 3/30/23 they came to house. One to service and you guessed it one to sell me a new unit. I told them from beginning do not ask me about a capacitor. Then he tried to sell me Freon for $400 plus dollars. Told them no. Told them no on new unit also. I never had a problem before this weekend. I noticed there was water damage. The pvc pipe that connects to the water shut off was turned up so the water couldn't make it to the valve. I had called for an appointment but used another company to fix their mistakes. Never again would I use del air. In my opinion I think they sabotaged my unit because I refused the capacitor, their 400 plus Freon and a new unit. The company I used today refitted the pvc pipe and added 2 pounds of Freon at $50 each. What a nightmare. I am including photos of damages, and the old pvc/new pvc.

We've been loyal customers of Del-Air for years, having had two HVAC systems installed and serviced by them. No problems until this time. Our system was installed about four years ago BY Del-Air. Our air went out on Thursday. 96 degrees outside. We're miserable. Called Del-Air; they said they'd be out between 7-11:30 p.m. that day. No show, no call. Called Friday morning, was told that they'd be there between 12-5 p.m. and that we were on """"priority"""". No show, no call. Any inquiries to Del-Air were answered by the response: """"the technician will call you 45 minutes before he comes."""" Any idea when that will that be? """"The technician will call you 45 minutes before he comes."""" We can't go to a motel because who knows if and when the technician might show up, without calling first. Saturday morning came, no show, no call. Absolutely no response from Del-Air. So, we gave up Saturday mid-day and called another company who came out quickly, fixed our problem, and showed us how to avoid the problem in the future. We've never heard back from Del-Air. Is this how you treat loyal customers? Del-Aire, if you're overextended, don't make promises you can't keep. Just be honest and let people know that you can't keep your promises so they'll know to call someone else.

Before even entering our home, the tech called in his buddy-salesperson and he stated we needed a whole new system! We thought our unit was under warranty and tech told us """"you are not in the system"""" To verify a warranty. He further told us he could not contact Lennox but was certain we had no warranty. He then tried to sell us Freon at a cost of $163 for the first pound! A discount to $120 for the next 4.5 pounds. We opted to do nothing until we could speak w Lennox. After the tech left AC no longer worked at all! Turns out he disconnected some wires. Tech came to our home for annual maintenance. Another service tech came out the next day....he reconnected the wires then looked up our serial numbers and stated the unit WAS under Warranty. Problem was he stated no repair for two weeks. This company pulled every trick to get us to buy a whole new unit. The fast talking sales person called and put on the hard sell....all units were btwn $22k and $33k for a townhome. He was high pressure and insisted unit could be installed the next day. Again we waited. It was 4 days before we heard back from Dell Air, despite that the second tech said we would hear from the office the next day. When I called the office to follow up to verify price and warranty repair, they claimed they had no details from the tech. Anyhow DO NOT use this company. They try to take advantage of folks. In the end they stated we needed both an outside and inside unit, and parts were covered under warranty but they were at a ridiculous cost for labor and Freon, something near $4k. To wrap this up, we called 4 corners air-they verified warranty over the phone, picked up the part the next day and did repairs for $1100. Nothing at all wrong w outside compressor. So sad

I have a 10 year service contract/extended warranty and could not get service! I scheduled an appointment for the 1st available, which was about 20 hours later. I was told it would be the following afternoon. I am still waiting and have called several times with different answers each time about if they will make it tonight or not. House has been 86 degrees all day on this very hot, humid Florida day. Very unhappy that they are not obligated to repair within 24 hours when I have this warranty. Will NOT renew.

Update: been without a/c in very hit Orlando since April 29 with no hope in sight of the $1,000 part arriving so our $9,000 system (5yrs old) can be repaired. We have NEVER received a promised call back. I would live to sell my home but who would buy it without a/c? The poor service is indicative of management over commitment of resources--it would not surprise me if new Del Air management is purposely over working too thin a staff to widen their margin. Shame on you Del Air management fir running a great company into the ground by not valuing your employees!!!

I have been a loyal customer of Del-Air since 1984, when Bob DelloRusso was starting up the company. I used Del-Air on my personal residence and, as a builder, used them for all my HVAC installations, which amounted to thousands of homes. All was good. Now, since the company was sold, I am SHOCKED by the arrogant lack of concern regarding service work and standing by their customer. My last scheduled maintenance was performed on 2/28/2023. A refrigerant leak was found in my compressor, which was under warranty (Installed 3/12/2021). They ordered the part. It did not arrive until the third week of May. The work was then scheduled to Thursday, 5/18/202 between noon and 5:00pm. I was told I would be contacted when the technician was in transit. Thursday came and went. No technician, no call. Friday morning, I called to inquire about the service and was told that I made a mistake and that is was now scheduled for Friday, 5/19/2023, time to be determined. The service tech (Sharn) did show up on Friday afternoon and installed the defective part. One week later, on Friday morning, 5/26/2023, the entire system went down. I contacted Del-Aire service and they got a technician out that day around 4:00pm. The technician (Christopher) spent one and 1/2 hours diagnosing the system and determined (at 5:20pm) that our Carrier Infinity 3-zone thermostat had failed. It was still under warranty. However, the Carrier Distribution Center was now closed until the following Tuesday (5/30/2023) because of the Memorial Day holiday. That meant a minimum of 5 days with no A/C or fan. On Tuesday morning (5/30), I called Del-Air for a repair update. I was told that I would receive an update later that day. No response. On Wednesday afternoon (today, 5/31) I received a call from Del-Air (Madison) who informed me that they could replace the thermostat next Monday (6/5/2023). I asked if she realized I have already been without fan or air conditioning for six days in the hot Florida climate. Waiting until Monday is five more days of no air.... She voiced no empathy or concern and merely asked me if I wanted them to come out on 6/5. If they make it out on 6/5/2023, that will be eleven days without HVAC or fan in this 90 degree climate. This apathetic attitude is so shocking from a company that always prided itself on assisting and helping its customers. Be very wary of this NEW Del-Air.... Based on these recent experiences, I don't believe customer satisfaction is a part of this NEW company's core values!

I had two technicians come to my house give me a price to fix the item that needed to be fixed for my air conditioning unit. A week later I received an email asking if I give approval for my part. I gave written approval, another 3 days later I get another email asking for again written approval. I give another written approval. Nobody calls me nobody contacts me. I call delair I set up an appointment who magically states that the part is already there. They said somebody would be out Monday from 8:00 to 12:00 because the job was big they would come out first thing in the morning. I have my 19-year-old daughter wait. And she waits. And she waits. Until 1:00 p.m. when I call the company and they said yes it's been assigned to somebody and they would call me 30 to 45 minutes prior to coming it's now 3:00 and nobody showed up I said on hold for over 15 minutes and low and behold somebody calls and says the technician's at your door. The man comes in my daughter shows him the air conditioning unit he gets on the phone and he promptly leaves without speaking to my daughter. Rude. I contact delaire and I asked what's going on. The person who answers the phone locally states that the technician wrote that the person at the door was not the homeowner and was less than 18 years old. Obviously this technician did not want to come to my house and it was a big job I was told so he should show up first thing in the morning but because he only got there at 3:00 he was making up lies. He then proceeded to state that the coil needs to be removed and that would have to be replaced if I was to replace the thermostat. I asked to speak to the manager of course the manager was not available. He does contact me around 7:00 a.m. the next day I speak to him I let him know the poor service I have received up until this point. He assures me he's going to get back to me that day. His name is Scott. He does not get back to me. I call him an entire day later in the afternoon asking him what's going on. And he proceeds to tell me that the two people that showed up at my house were incorrect. They were wrong. That they couldn't just replace the thermostat. They didn't know what they were doing. You also have to replace the coil. That the third technician was correct the one that was rude didn't call before he showed up didn't show up in the morning, didn't speak to my daughter prior to leaving. That now it's almost a $5,000 job. But Scott said he would call me back as soon as he looked up the prices and let me know what was going on. Scott did not call me back I had to call Scott back. What's going on with delair. I've always trusted them for my air conditioning needs. It seems like they are now slimy and liars and unreliable

I posted a review a week or so ago regarding a repair on our shower faucet and outside faucet that went horribly wrong. I called the company and finally got a person who said he'd personally make sure everything was taken care of and he was also going to take care of the exorbitant bill that I was charged for the 2 faucets ($530). He sent out a professional plumber who repaired the errors/non-repairs from the previous 'plumber'. That was the extent of what was taken care of. The bill? Nada and no follow up phone call. Will I recommend this company to anyone? Just the opposite. The only reason I had even called them was I had used them a year or so ago. 2 men, 2 days and 2 very expensive pieces of equipment used to eradicate the problem. That cost was $1000 and it was well worth it. But 2 faucets for $530 (originally $630)? Absolutely ridiculous and I felt taken advantage of. We will never use this company ever again.
