In Empire, CA, circa 1946, James Arland DeHart began a plumbing and sheet metal business in his family garage. For over 71 years, DeHart Plumbing, Heating, and Air has thrived on a foundation of industry excellence, community pride, and a commitment to putting customers first.

Today, DeHart Inc. remains a family-owned and operated business through four generations and counting! I am the third-generation President and CEO of DeHart Plumbing, Heating, and Air Inc., a company founded by my grandfather, James Arland DeHart, in 1946. My career began in 1983 as a plumbing technician, balancing my work with evening classes at HVAC-R trade school.

We now run a fleet of more than 60 service vehicles and support over 80 families through our employment! I have immense pride in the talented team at DeHart Plumbing, Heating, and Air Inc.

So had the Technician come out and check out my heater and he told me I needed a new board for my controller. The quoted me 2 price one was $800 and the other $600 if I signed up for their maintenance plan. Then called another guy and he came out reset the unit and it has been working ever since.

AC wasn't working last night, so we called for a repair. We got a call within 10 minutes from Alex saying he was about 10 minutes away. He wasn't up on the roof more than 10 minutes before he found the problem and we had cool air! Start to finish, it only took an hour to get someone out on a Sunday night and the price was reasonable. This is the second time we've used DeHart and both times we were very pleased with the professionalism, speed of service and the repairs themselves. So much so that we have signed up for the yearly maintenance package!

They were over priced to begin with for new unit installs but went with them anyways based on reviews. I figured you get what you pay for. They sold me lower end units and charged me for some damage they caused to my property. You would think they would fix it but nope. Will not be using again.

Last Saturday we realized at about 6 PM that our HVAC stopped working. It quickly became unbearable. I called DeHart hoping someone would answer. A service answered the phone and provided detail on the emergency charge (reasonable for our situation - it was almot 90 degrees in our house), and I agreed to proceed with the service. She took my contact info. and said she'd reach the tech. Nearly 20 minutes later (hard to believe), Deon M. knocks on our door. I cannot express how impressed we were with his professionalism and kindness. He took his time to explain what was wrong with our unit and what he was doing to solve the issue. An hour later, we had wonderful cool air circulating throughout our home. What Deon M. didn't know is that I am also a high volume commercial customer. If this is what all of my customers experience, then I am sold on DeHart all over again. Deon M. - amazing guy; an example to follow for how to communicate with a customer!

I just wanted to say I enjoy their HVAC service for the twice yearly checkup on my unit, it is very reasonably priced. But on the other hand other services are quite pricey, when having checkup done on my unit I also scheduled to have a new non programmable thermostat installed and it cost me $258, it took him less than a half hour to take the old one off and put on the new one. I thought that was a little pricey for a non programmable thermostat and install.

Our a/c decided to quit on day it was 111 degrees outside and the forecast for the week said it would be triple digits for the next 7 days. I called DeHart on a Sunday afternoon and technician came and fixed the unit. A day and a half later the a/c quit again and when I called DeHart, a manager said they would send a technician out that day to see what was going on. I want to commend CARLOS for saving us from our misery. He was so personable and professional. This tech clearly knew what he was doing and explained the problem very clearly. He is a fine representative of this company and the reason why we'll be repeat customers.
