We had raw sewage back up into our downstairs powder room, spill over into the family and hallway. Day and Nite Plumbing was wonderful, we got a call back immediately and worked with them over the next week to resolve the problem. John, the technician, was excellent and kept me informed every step of the way including allowing me to see the monitor as the camera went through the pipes. He was able to explain everything to me, a novice, most clearly. Always polite and positive Mary

I'm always surprised by companies in the service industry who act as though providing customers service is an inconvenience. Day & Night is one of those companies. I used them once when our heater was out about a year ago. When I called I remember being somewhat taken aback by the gentleman telling me in rather curt terms, ""well we're busy and can't do it today."" Ok, that's not unusual, but then he added, ""Unless it's late. at least 8 and probably later."" which is also fine, but the attitude was definitely that I was a bother and they would rather not deal. The tech who came to the house was nice enough, so I called again today when our heater was again on the fritz. More of the same attitude, only worse. I told them I'd used them before and that seemed to make it worse. ""what, do you want a special price? it will be 8pm or later, and it's going to cost more."" Of course I expect and after hours call to cost more and would have paid without shopping around if it weren't for the crappy attitude. Yuch. I politely told them I'd try someone else. I did, and got service the same day, during the day, with friendly service and no attitude. I like the idea of doing business with a family owned business like Day & Night that has been around for 50 years, but if you're too grouchy to provide decent customer service, it's time to hang up your tool belt.

The Sewer Cam inspection was reasonable, although the first plumber had an attitude. The second plumber who came out for a second inspection, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, but the estimate was so high for the scope of work, it was unreasonable. I recommend their sewer cam deal only!

Plumbing issues are the worst, and mine was no different. There I was minding my own business on a Sunday afternoon when I heard a gurgling sound from the kitchen. I investigated and was greeted by my sink slowly filling with stuff from my neighbors' sinks (condo life!). Unable to fix this with a plunger or Draino, I called Day and Nite.

Marty called me, got a run down of the problem and told me his ETA. He showed up on time, brought everything needed to avoid leaving a mess and went to work on snaking the drain. He got it done pretty quickly and cleaned up afterwards. He was friendly and sympathetic to my situation.

I will use Day and Nite again, no doubt about it.

Update to our prior posting: We called Day & Night Plumbing. We dealt with Dave, the manager. We indicated to him that the way the quote was presented was unclear and we thought the work would be done at a lower rate than the final bill indicated. After a couple of conversations Dave agreed that the quoting method used might have been ambiguous. Adjustments were made and the issue resolved.
A couple of lessons learned here for both parties. Make sure both customer and contractor are very, very clear on the estimated charges prior to the work beginning. As a customer, when there is an issue, give the company management an opportunity to resolve the issue prior to posting any criticism

I had Day and Nite come by in late May 2013 to fix an air cleaner that was acting up. My initial contact was with Hugh who was very polite, courteous, and helpful. I scheduled an appointment for them to come out.

The tech that came out (Todd) was also very helpful and polite. However, the problem appeared to be a bit unusual and we eventually had to apply a workaround fix mentioned in my air cleaner manual (the air flow switch was not detecting adequate air flow to turn on the electronic air cleaner so we wired it to ""always on""). After several visits and hundreds of dollars my problem seemed resolved. My air cleaner was finally working again. Honestly, my only complaint was the price of the labor -- as other reviewers have noted, Day and Nite is more expensive than other shops for labor. Pricing on parts seems fair with the part pricing I found online.

I decided to hold off on posting my review to see how everything held out. Three months later, and I pulled my electronic air filters to clean them off -- once again I noticed that the ""performance light"" was out. I initially thought this may be due to the cells being so dirty -- they had lots of dirt on them and I had heard the static snaps every so often so I knew they had been working. Unfortunately, after I had cleaned them and given them three hours to dry, when I put them back into the cleaner the ""performance"" light was again out. Sometime within the three months since the air cleaner had been repaired it had failed again.

My rating right now is based on the very short duration that the repair lasted (3 months).

I am contacting Day and Nite to give them a chance to resolve -- I spent a lot of money (close to $1000 to get this fixed). To be fair, all employees have been very professional and courteous from Hugh, Todd, to the front desk person at their office. Will post an update once I learn more.

Called Day & Nite and they advised someone would be out in the afternoon, but they called back to see if they could come immediately, which I appreciated. My problem was a toilet I ordered through the internet from Signature Hardware out of KY. The toilet came without the holes in the bottom to mount (which Signature Hardware had never heard of before). Our contractor drilled the holes through the bottom porcelain and had tried to install, but the toilet kept leaking. Seeing that our contractor was frustrated with this install, Day & Nite was called and they sent out techs Jon and Mike. What nice men, very polite and tried their best to fix the problem, but their determination is that while the drilling of the two needed holes was successful, that perhaps a hairline crack happened during that procedure. A new toilet is on it's way and I've already got Jon and Mike scheduled for that install. If that's successful -- definitely FIVE STARS! More to come... stayed tuned...

Way overpriced for the short amount of work time involved. We had a water backup last sat and called the company (cause we had a good experience with them on our heating tank replacement few years ago). There's no available slot that day but could accommodate us the following day between 2-6p. OK then, we'll wait for the plumber. Few Min's after they called to change the time slot from 4-6p. Come Sunday at 430p, the plumber called and asked me if we still need him to come. of course! We've been waiting for you for 30mins. He came and snaked/cleared our drain in 2 hrs. and paid a total of 430.00 (298 + 98 visit fee)!. We'll call a different company next time.

Day n Nite Plumbing did an amazing job putting in a new exterior water line in a very difficult spot. Once Marty explained how he'd approach the issue, I relaxed and felt I was in good hands, and it certainly was the case. After Marty and Mike prepared the site for the line, I told them they were artists. It was done with the least impact on the driveway and landscaping. After completing the job, the clean up was very complete. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing issue.

We had a major flooding of the basement and they were able to come out quickly and take care of the problem. Overall a great experience for a stressful situation.
