Ben L.Found these guys through thumbtack.com. These guys were the first to respond to my request. They were able to be out in 2 days to give a bid, and then came back the next day to the do the job.
I had a gas line hooked up to an existing splitter and put through a wall with a valve for hooking up a gas stove. The line only had to go about 6-8'. I had gotten some ""ballpark"" bids from a couple other plumbers over the phone (including my usual guy) and these guys were right in the same price point. The biggest thing for me was all the other guys were 1-3 weeks out and these guys were available quick. Not sure if they'll always be that available, but the work was good, they were professional, and the price was average (didn't gouge me, and as they say ""cheap labor aint good and good labor aint cheap).
Not all superheroes wear capes! Some wear grey Danika polis and take their shoes off at the front door! These guys were great! They come in a fixed a problem 4 other plumbers couldn't fix. If j ever have any more plumbing issues, they will be my first call. They were respectful and clean. They took a little extra time to explain to me what the problem was and how they'd be fixing it.
I contacted Danika via Thumbtack and left a review there. Dan M. responded to my review but I cannot respond to his response. As such, I am responding here.
Feedback:
I'd leave 0 stars if i could. I needed a very simple leak fixed on a hot water supply line for the washing machine. I would have done this myself but I needed it done by a licensed plumber per agreement of a purchase/sale agreement to sell this home. I got a call from someone @ Danika (I'm sure this was Dan) and i explained the situation. I told them i had installed a new shut off but there was a very minor drop of water that showed at the connection. He asked in a very condescending tone - 'what do you want us to do?' So i politely explained that i need a professional to make it stop leaking. I ended up agreeing to the $59 service charge but i had explained very clearly what the issue was and the guy i spoke with said if it was something they could fix within a few minutes of getting there then the $59 charge would cover it. But they also had a $40/15 minute rate so i figured it would be $99 max. No big deal. The guys that showed up were very polite and helpful. The plumber said it would take a few minutes to remove the old shut off and install a new one. Then he said he wanted $225 to do it. I knew the replacement part was only a few bucks so I let him know that i wasnt about to pay over $600/hour for this fix. I called the guy that i had spoken to in the morning and he was a total prick. I apologized to they plumbers but asked them to leave and they were very helpful (giving me tips on how to fix it) and apologetic for the a-hole on the phone. I had another plumber out to the house within 45 minutes and he fixed the leak with teflon tape and pipe dope for half the price this guy wanted. And the price was clear up front.

Dan M. from Danika Plumbing & Contracting replied to this review on February 8, 2016:
There seems to be a mix up with another contractor. Much of what is said simply was not us.

Um.... I sitting here looking at your business card with Pau's name and phone number. I called two plumbers. You were the abrasive one who scheduled your guys to come out and the other, legitimate plumber, fixed my problem. So nice try with the lame response. I'm sure you remember the conversation unless you have so many unhappy customers you can't keep track.
The funny thing is....your guys left without asking for the $59. They could have stayed for another 10 mins, fixed the problem and left with $100 for 10 minutes worth of work. Makes no sense.
This review should come as no surprise to Danika plumbing. They opt'd not to acknowledge my phone calls. Oh wait, they were fine communicating with me when they thought i was going to use them again to do my fireplace gas line. Nothing but crickets when i have questions on a similar job they already did for my stove.
Basically, I have a water heater that uses gas on a 1/2 line. I decided to have a gas stove and fireplace. So I call Danika Plumbing as well as other plumbing companies, to get a quote. Tony knew full well what existing line i had and what my future plans were for an additional line. We even discussed the need 3/4 line. The math on the three appliances screams for a 3/4 inch line and that is what i thought he installed in my house.
He quoted me a price a little over 6 hundred. Some how that price went up to 749 by the time the job was done. No explanation on why. This company did not test the line nor do any of the permit work. As a matter of fact there was no mention of getting a permit so this work would be approved. I arranged that on my own. That knocked down another star.
Fast forward to fireplace install date. The installers look at the existing line and the t install.
Surprise surprise. its a 1/2 line. Everyone is scratching their head trying to figure out why tony installed 1/2 when clearly 3/4 was called for. I asked if there was a price difference between the two. And found out not really its the same amount of work just a bigger pipe for the gas to go through. Keeping in mind, tony was expecting me to call him to come back out and do the fireplace line and he was going to charge between 750 and 800. The fireplace installers charged a little under 300 and only took maybe 25 mins to do it.
This man is vastly over priced and not truthful. He took advantage of someone that was not knowledgeable in the gas/plumbing area. But I am now. I will be calling puget sound energy to check his work. Oh And he is one of those plumbers that don't call back when you find issues with his work.
I'm glad i got 2nd and 3rd opinions. Lessons learned for me. I get 5 or 6 quotes for work now. This company is definitely off my list and i made sure to spread the word where i could.
Thanks for doing a difficult dirty job in my house's crawl small space on bid. Plus the price was reasonable.
Anne P.I bought a water heater & paid for Lowes to install it. They subcontracted the work to Danika Plumbing. I was very happy with the work they did, and the two men who fid the installation were polite and courteous. The water heater is working perfectly, so no issues there. And they laid down a few clean tarps to collect the rusty water that came out when they moved it, and kept my floors clean. Which I really appreciated. I had a plumber once track mud throughout the entire house and touch the walls and even lace curtains with filthy hands. So I really appreciated the extra effort they took to be clean, without me having even asked.
We had a plumbing emergency with our toilet that could have flooded our house and Danika Plumbing came really fast and they were super helpful and courteous. Will definitely be calling then again if anything happens in the future.
I'd love to write about the workmanship and professionalism of Danika Plumbing, had they ever showed up for the scheduled appointment. . .
The morning of July 11, 2014, I called and left a message for a service visit. A couple hours later, Tony calls back, and I explain that I have a toilet flange sticking up above the floor, preventing an adequate connection between the toilet and the sewer. I wanted the flange to be cut out and replaced. If the 90-degree bend under the floor needed modification to get the flange flush, I was prepared to have that done also.
Tony said they were swamped that day; the earliest he could visit would be the next Monday afternoon, between 3pm and 5pm. I also offered to remove the toilet beforehand and get things cleaned up so he can make an evaluation quickly to best effect repairs.
Monday rolls around, I take the afternoon off work, come home, remove the toilet, the floor spacer, and scrape off the gross goop and wax to make things easier for Danika. Then I wait. 3pm rolls by, then 4pm, then 5pm. No Danika. At 5:40pm I call their number, leaving a message requesting a call from Tony so he can explain his intentions.
Never did get a call. It's now Tuesday, and the toilet is still removed, waiting for a flange repair. Sadly, it won't come from Danika Plumbing and Contracting.
Mo Y.Don't use this company at all. I would give them Minus Ten Stars if I could. Their Plumber who happens to be the owner or one of the owners came to my home to inspect a small water leakage in the backyard. During the process of inpecting the leakage, he decided , this was coming from the water heater and the water heater needed to be replaced. When we showed him the Warranty documents that we had on our heater, he told us that these are the wrong documents. So, he managed to shut our hot water on his own and leaving us without hot water. In addition, he charged us over $380.00 for his inspection and for another small job that took him five minutes to do. We had hot water in the home before he came to our home and we did not after he left. When we called the Warranty company, they told us that these are the correct documents and that the heater is under warranty but that guy was trying to sell us one that we don't need. In addition, when the Warranty company sent their Plumber two days later to our home, they discoverd that the tank is fine and other parts need to be replaced. They did the repairs in two hours and we got the hot water back and the leakage has stopped in the bankyard. We ended up paying them after paying RW Plumbing for work they did not do and also for leaving us without hot water for Two Days. We called several times asking if they can refund us the money they charged us for the heater since he did not get it fixed, he refusted to do so and he told me that he was in my home for two hours and he needs to charge me. This guy is abusing the Plumbing Licensing System and charging me just for showing up and damaging my water heater..? He told me that we have called him many times regarding the heater and how he was out late the night before in a Party..?? This guy left us without hot water when we had the hot water and the heater was in a good working condtion before he showed up to my home. Don't use this guy or this company for any work. He charges you for showing up as if he is an Attorney or a Doctor ...? then he charges for screwing our water heater and leaving us without hot water for days. Don't use this company or this guy.
This company sent an unqualified technician to do the work. The poor kid spent the whole day on the phone being coached by someone with experience. In the end the quality of workmanship was poor, we now have a floor joist that has been completely severed and we paid about double what a quality job would have been worth. Steer clear!
