I have been using Dan Wood for about 12 years and they never disappoint! Prices are great, the Techs always arrive on time and are courteous and respectful of my home! I have used them for plumbing as well as HVAC. They most recently installed a new furnace and AC system.

I have used Dan Wood many times, most recently Bob ( Electrician) installed 7 hardwired smoke detectors for me. Bob arrived promptly and took care of business. He also discovered the chirping I heard, was and old Carbon Monoxide detector that had a Low Battery. That same day Brian (Plumber) was out installing a new hot water heater. He also arrived promptly and began working. Bob and Brian, both took all the packing materials with them after their completion of the jobs. They cleaned up after themselves, and explained in detail what work they performed and asked if I had any questions.
I would recommend Dan Wood, they are customer focus and perform quality work.

Just cut me off in a rain storm. Da 61012
Very dangerously changing lanes. Speeds over 80 in a commercial vehicle. Why would you trust them in your house?

My mother needed a new hot water heater installed. Danwood Plumbing was the choice because of a positive prior experience. Joe showed up at the appointment time and got started right away. He was extremely polite and very efficient in getting the new water heater installed. The job was completed and cleaned up in 2 1/2 hours. We really appreciated his attitude and willingness to show us what he did. I am sure my mom will use Danwood again.

Way too long of a story to explain my 1-star review but please, please, please, save yourself time, money, and a LOT of aggravation and call Genson's or Michigan Plumbing Services. Do NOT use Dan Wood - trust all the 1-star reviews for this company. If people take time out of their day to leave a Yelp review, there must be a very good reason.

Faulty workmanship. Joint they installed failed. They did not compensate us for the losses incurred by their mistake.

I asked for a break on the plumbing repair of their own joint and they gave nothing. I had a coupon for $26 and that's all they honored.

Awful customer relations. Go anywhere else for plumbing and heating service. We had been a customer of theirs on and off for almost 30 years. When we moved into our current house, water pipes in the drywalled ceiling of our garage burst. We reported it to insurnace and Dan Wood replaced the pipes (using Shark Bite connectors). Several years later, one of those connectors failed and caused extensive drywall and insulation damage. We called Dan Wood figuring they'd give us some kind of break on the repair. This time it was done with solder joints. They charged full amount and would not budge on cost. We still have lots of damage to repair ($$$).

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!! This company is a joke. I have used them a couple times for my small business in Northville. TWICE they didn't shut the water off properly and flooded a space in the back of my business. First time, no big deal accidents happen. Second time, I showed them where the shut off valve to the water was. It was 2 younger guys who came out. One must of been a trainee ( no biggie everyone has a first day) the experienced tech asked the trainee to shut off the water. He said he did and the tech proceeded to start the repair without checking if the water was off and low and behold water starts GUSHING out of the spout. The tech placed his hands in front of the water to try and contain it but imagine placing your hand in front of a geyser, doesn't work. So water proceeds to soak my floor and ceiling tiles and products pertaining to my business. I immediately had to hault my business operations and tend to the water chaos. After myself and staff cleaned up the mess the guys finished and said thanks we'll send you an invoice. No apologies, nothing.

I get the bill some odd days later and it was $700 to change out a $35-50 plastic part and flood my back room.

I contacted Danwood and asked to have my products replaced that were destroyed and also ceiling tiles. Products totaled $200. They asked me to send an itemized list of what was ruined and I did. A fellow named James contacted me a couple times regarding this matter. James also took it upon himself to walk into the back door of my business unannounced to ask questions about the damage. Not speaking to me the owner ( as I was on vacation) but badgering my employees. After hearing about that visit when I was gone, I contacted James. He told me and I quote... "" they were having a really hard time with $200"" and insinuated I was trying to pull one over on them. Whelp I have an entire staff that can attest to water gushing everywhere all over my products and ceiling. After all, they were the ones that cleaned it up, not Danwood employees.

If I was trying to get money off for the hell of it I wouldn't ask for only $200 off $700. They have no business tact or sense. That's why companies have business insurance for stuff like this in case $200 ""is too hard"" James was a joke and Danwood is a joke and I certainly hope Denise the owner of Danwood sees this review because her company is failing in customer service. The sad part is, we are both businesses in the same area and they treated me this way. Just an awful experience all the way around.

So if anybody read this far, please choose another plumber. A.J Danboise is great alternative

This company is the most dishonest contractor I've dealt with in my life. They quoted a job saying it would take 2 days, they finished it within 2 days, but claimed a 50% overage and charged me with no details at all. I tried to resolve with them, but they tried to fabricate a bunch of false information to tie out with their overages. When I asked for details they claim that my wife gave the technician a ""blank check"" and that was their right to charge whatever they wished. Use extreme caution dealing with these crooks.

Called to have our AC looked at since it's been down since over 2 weeks ago. It's been a hotbox in our store since.

We were given a 2 hour window for the arrival. They were here within the first hour. Took a look and diagnosed it fast enough.

Charged us $200 charge for a visit and the diagnostics. It will cost us $2,500 or so for a new compressor and installation, that seems like a lot for a compressor. The unit is big, it's on the roof of the shopping plaza.

Would take over a week to get the new compressor. AC works but weakly, but nothing significant to make you feel cool at all. May be caused from lightning or nature, since the AC is on the roof of the building.

We received a call the Friday before the scheduled install after about 2 weeks. No parts still. Parts won't come in until middle of the following week or so.

They came to install the new compressor. What toasty weeks we have had while having to wait a 2-3 weeks for the compressor to come in.

The job took a full day and a couple of hours the next day. It cost a little less than $3k, not cheap. The AC is back to good at least. Only took a little over 2.5 weeks to get it fixed.
