So, I just moved to San Bruno from San Jose and needed a new gas line put in from the meter. Since this is not something to be taken lightly, especially in San Bruno, I bid out the work to multiple local plumbers. Dale Plumbing was the most prompt of the three companies that I had come out. One company, who I won't mention here, did not even show up for the estimate appointment and never called back.

James, the foreman, showed up and came up with a solid plan to route the line where it needed to go. Their price was firm yet fair. He assigned Harry and Marlon to the job. They showed up and completed the work promptly and professionally. During testing and inspection, the new gas line they put in held pressure well beyond spec, 30 minutes with no leakage. Once finished, the two left the job site in a cleaner state than they found it.

I can't assess their ability to come in and promptly fix 'sudden plumbing emergencies.' However, their ability to complete scheduled work on time, to code, without going over time is excellent. I would recommend them for any of your scheduled plumbing needs.

Found a special for this firm on Angies List and they had ok ratings.
I have problem with the toilet when it flushes it makes a foghorn sound throughout the house.
the plumber who came was late, not very professional, said he did not know how to fix the problem and since we prepaid for a deal on Angies list we had him change two washers.
I would not call them again.

I called this place because Doug Behr (Behr Plumbing) was recommended to me. I called the number and made an appointment for Doug to come out and look at my gas fireplace. Their first available appointment was in 9 days. I called to confirm the day of the appointment and was told that Doug Behr was retired, but Eric and Doug would come out and look at my fireplace. Doug Behr was great. He was willing to retrofit the existing fireplace for about $2000. I said great. Eric said he had to check with the new owner. I was shocked when I was asked to pay $125. for the visit. No one informed me of this beforehand. I complained, but paid it because the invoice stated that Dale Plumbing would supply us with a written estimate of repairs needed. I called this outfit starting the next day, and for the next three days and said I wanted the work done as soon as possible. I was met with a rude secretary (Lauren) who put me on hold every time I called. I was assured that the estimate was coming and I would hear from them soon. I never heard from them again. While Doug Behr must have been great, Dale Plumbing is NOT! Do not use this outfit! They stole my money and gave me NOTHING In return. The diagnosis of my problem was a broken valve. I told them that on the phone when I made the appointment. HORRIBLE OUTFIT! Save yourself time, money and trouble and go elsewhere!

After being out of town all weekend, I came home to find that I had no hot water. The pilot on the water heater was out and would not stay on, and to make matters worse, it was Sunday evening. After calling several plumbers in the Redwood City area that advertised weekend hours, Dale Plumbing & Heating was the only one who offered to come out. Dale's employee, Eric called and I explained the problem. He gave me his arrival time and arrived even sooner than he thought. Eric was extremely pleasant, very professional and got the job done quickly, and I had hot water again. Eric, thank you so much! You are truly an asset to Dale Plumbing & Heating.

My former plumber, Doug Behr (with Behr Plumbing), retired just last week. He referred all of his clients to Dale Plumbing, so I expected them to be as wonderful as he was. Boy - was I wrong!!!

I called Dale Plumbing last week to set up an appointment to have their plumber finish up some work that Doug started on my outdoor fireplace. I was told their plumber would arrive at 2pm this Tuesday. On Tuesday at 10am, I received a call stating their plumber had an emergency and had to reschedule. No big deal, so we rescheduled to today at 10am. It is currently after 12pm and since their plumber has yet to show up, I put in a call to Dale to get an update. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes only to be told their plumber had yet another emergency. Thanks for the heads up guys!! I would absolutely love to clear another time slot and wait around my home for you... NOT!!!

I definitely would not recommend these guys. If any of Doug's former clients have better luck finding a reliable plumber, please let me know =)

I've used Dale Plumbing four or five times now and have found their service to be excellent. They installed my water filtration system, fixed a toilet when it got gunked up with mineral deposits (twice - my bad for not cleaning it out), and pulled out an object that had jammed my kitchen garbage disposal.
The plumbers who have come to my house (Eric is especially good!) have inevitably been kind, friendly, knowledgeable and careful. The people I've dealt with on the telephone also have been very helpful and kind.
I'll also add that I live in the Skylonda area of Woodside - a location many other plumbers refuse to service because of the longer drive - and Dale Plumbing has always been more than happy to make the trek up here.
I will continue to use Dale Plumbing whenever we need a plumber.

Quick shout-out to Harry for taking care of my ""mani-pedi"" spring plumbing issues today! (In the past, Harry, James, and Markus @ Dale Plumbing have usually had to take care of heavy-duty flooding issues or sump pump issues, particularly when the rains descended). Today, Harry quickly and effectively took care of issues in the kitchen sink and bathroom within 30 minutes, while also giving me maintenance tips to avoid costly repairs in the future.

Had a water heater issue that turned out to be an accidentally low setting on the heater. Did not need to replace the heater. The plumber from Dale confirmed that it was the setting and not the heater (saving me a considerable amount of money.) He did replace the recirculating pump (Grundfos) and give a good explanation on the valve pipe attached to the pump. Previous plumber gave just a ""don't touch"" with no explanation other than scare tactics. Appreciate the candor and service.

we had a clogged toilet at are dental office not good. Called dale plumbing they sent Harry the plumber out he was great very polite and he got the clogged out Thanks for your hard work we will always call Dale Plumbing

A third great experience with Dale. Had a dinner party scheduled and needed emergency service for a sewer line back-up. Dale came out within 30 minutes of our call and had the problem completely resolved with an hour. The two men were very professional and extremely competent. Would recommend Dale without reservation. Much better than the ""Rooter"" guys and less expensive.
