Bob Cunningham, the founder and president, began his career in the heating and air conditioning sector in 1977 after graduating with honors from Marquette University. Bob participates actively in community service outside of his professional responsibilities. Currently, he is serving a second term on the Board of Trustees at Trinity School. One of these days companies will learn that often times, when all else is equal, customer service makes the difference. I used Cunningham for years and would always count on Nick to call me when my service agreement needed to be renewed and/or when it was time for my bi-annual checkup. I noticed that didn't happen this year and I ended up calling them to schedule maintenance. At that time I also asked if my agreement was still in place and was told yes. A service guy was sent out to perform maintenance and he even told me no charge. Imagine my shock when I got a call today telling me my maintenance agreement expired in July. Neither the person who called me or the """"manager"""" she transferred me to provided a minimum level of service so I'm done with them. I found out that Nick left the company and it's completely evident. Do better Cunningham before you lose more customers.

We have been using Cunningham since we purchased our home a year ago, and they have been top notch the entire time! They are incredibly responsive, kind, and professional. Their employees go above and beyond. We recently had some work done by Michael, Kyle, Denise, and another technician whose name I am forgetting (he installed a light in our unit to get rid of mold). They all did a great job, and Denise and the technician with her stayed at our house until 7:30PM on a Friday night to finish the job, without any complaint! Highly recommend.

they never showed up between the scheduled hours of 1 to 5 nor called. when I called again to check on them at 5 I was told a dispatcher would call me- no call.

Have used them in the past and did good work. Now we have an AC unit die and we call them and they say someone can come out that same day. Well nobody showed up. Call the next day and told """"we never have it here that someone was coming out yesterday"""". Ok mistakes happen. So they schedule for the following morning. Next day....no show. Call to find out what's going on """"oh we don't even have you on the schedule for today, will need to get with the dispatcher on this, not sure when we can get you on the schedule"""" You know what....if you are super busy in the middle of the summer I understand that. Lots of AC units needing repair during this heat wave. But don't give people BS and say you are coming to take care of something and then don't. That's just bad customer service. Now our poor tenants have been frying in the house for days waiting for someone to show and they never show. Now we have wasted three days that we could have gotten another company in there. Unreal.

Scheduled a routine maintenance check and was asked to be on premises in person (which is a hassle during work hours) just to realize that technician never showed up. Call the service desk and was told the technician will get in touch with me, which did not happened. Tried to call customer service again and the system would not let the call go through due to heavy calls volume (on Wednesday afternoon). Customer service is unprofessional, can't speak to technical performance. Would not recommend since hard to get a hold off.

Have used the same person, Tim Williams, for years. He sold his small company to Cunningham many years ago so we always call him. Very honest and fair. We recently moved to a new home under a service contract from another HVAC company they sent a tech when our AC started to not cool well and said we needed $1700 of work so we called Cunningham to get second estimate. Tim came out and quickly fixed our unit for $300. I have no other experience with Cunningham but business is about people and we have been please with Tim's work over the years.

Been a customer for 13+ years ever since our HVAC failed the week we moved into a new house... they recommended a smaller unit than was installed because they thought it was too big for space. This actually saved me some $$ since it was a cheaper unit, too. They are easy to deal with, incredibly professional and well-trained, and have great workmanship and attitude. I've seen this across numerous of their techs and office staff. We use them for all semi-annual maintenance as well. They are not the cheapest but they do things right. We had great performance from the 2 units they installed and maintained for us over a 8-12 year period. One of the rare companies in home services world I can easily give a glowing recommendation for.

Cunningham's 3K repair lasted about a year then failed completely-- Called them for service & they said the AC was shot for good-- they wanted almost $14K+ for a new unit w/ installation. This is ridiculous as we live in a small 2 bedroom condo not some huge house. We've now used Climate Masters for over a year & are very pleased--we had them install a new unit for about $4,500--almost $10,000 less than what Cunningham wanted!

Shared $184 per hour to make FULLY functional. When they left if was working. A couple weeks later we realized it is not blowing out of all the vents so it is NOT FULLY functioning. They want to charge more to come out to see what the problem is when they did not fix it to begin with. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Hired them to replace my HVAC unit this year. Everyone was very polite and courteous. Bob (the owner, I think??) worked with me to accommodate my schedule and explained his recommendations. So far, haven't had any problems with the unit. Would definitely be using them for all my cooling and heating needs. *update on 5.6.18* Changed from 5 to 2 stars. The new AC has not been cooling well. I had a technician come over. He looked over the unit and said that (1) unit has been undercharged and (2) a part needs to be replaced (he said it could have been overlooked during installation). To replace the part, they had to send a different technician. A day later, after unit has been refilled and the part has been replaced, my brand new AC has been working non-stop for 5 hours but the temperature doesn't go below 75. The unit is still under warranty and I might give them another call. But, I'm starting to feel like getting a second opinion. Too much time off wasted waiting on different technicians without a resolution.
