Recommended Customer Reviews

Hired them to replace my HVAC unit this year. Everyone was very polite and courteous. Bob (the owner, I think??) worked with me to accommodate my schedule and explained his recommendations. So far, haven't had any problems with the unit. Would definitely be using them for all my cooling and heating needs. *update on 5.6.18* Changed from 5 to 2 stars. The new AC has not been cooling well. I had a technician come over. He looked over the unit and said that (1) unit has been undercharged and (2) a part needs to be replaced (he said it could have been overlooked during installation). To replace the part, they had to send a different technician. A day later, after unit has been refilled and the part has been replaced, my brand new AC has been working non-stop for 5 hours but the temperature doesn't go below 75. The unit is still under warranty and I might give them another call. But, I'm starting to feel like getting a second opinion. Too much time off wasted waiting on different technicians without a resolution.

Everything was running fine. I just wanted regular a seasonal check and my longtime HVAC guy had just retired. They did what I believe was unnecessary work, possibly billed for work not done such as claiming replacement of parts that were already new, (they took everything away) claimed to have added many pounds of refrigerant, even though system was cooling perfectly in June. Second time I've used them and both times they replaced the same thing. My bill was over $1000. Tech also insisted I desperately, immediately needed new electrical breaker for $350 more. I declined, but did have a licensed electrician check later. He said it was ridiculous. Everything was working and up to code. I'm still searching the world for an honest HVAC person, like Diogenes with his lamp. Cunningham does a lot of work in my neighborhood. I think some people like paying a lot of money, and think that means they got good work. I'll bet if I had them come out again for another seasonal check, they would run the bill up to another $1000.

Have spent alot of money with these guys over the past 4-5 years. They're professional and courteous but increasingly their pricing has gone from a bit expensive ridiculously over priced.. Further, it would seem that despite such a lucrative history (from their perspective) they still quite grasp what it means to give loyal customers any deference in smaller repairs.

Thoroughly impressed by Cunningham Associates. Scheduling was a breeze and the technician (Dusty) was very knowledgeable and he explained everything he did in details. He went out of his way and repaired a dehumidifier that was not working. We definitely feel that we are in good hands and would highly recommend this company for HVAC maintenance and repair.

Our air conditioner started blowing hot air on Friday afternoon. We texted neighbors and these guys came recommended so we called them. Joey was here first thing Saturday morning and was a personable professional. Our 30 year old unit burnt out a cord and needed some parts replaced. I have no experience with AC units and relied on his expertise. He recommended just replacing the parts as the unit was in good shape and it was normal wear and tear. Cost 75 for the service call and they're about 150 an hour labor plus parts cost. He found the problem immediately and we had cold air within an hour. I'd use them again. Probably not the cheapest but I definitely trusted them. No hard up sell or push to replace the unit.

I have used Cunningham & Associates since they opened their doors over 10 years ago. Beyond that, the owner, Bob Cunningham, is someone who I have trusted for my HVAC needs since 1980--that's 36 years folks. They are completely top-notch, ethical, responsive, and stand behind their work. The latest example of their great service was yesterday. My wife and I returned home from a holiday around 14:30 to find our upstairs unit had stopped working. It was 86 degrees up there. We immediately called Cunningham & Associates, and by 17:00 they had our super regular service guy--Roger--on the scene. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and we were back in cooling mode before 18:00. That's 3.5 hours from discovering we had a problem, to it being fixed, and on a sweltering hot day where I know they were already plenty busy. We love Cunningham & Associates and would be hard pressed to recommend any outfit in any business more highly.

We started using Cunningham as a result of finding them on our realtors' preferred vendor list. We had them service the unit at our old home. This week our AC went out, though they had a very busy schedule they were able to squeeze is in on a Saturday afternoon. They were responsive from our first email (late on Thursday). Via email they were able to tell us what may be going on. When they arrived at our house, they were quickly able to confirm, and repair the issue. They had a replacement part on the truck. Having an issue with your home is never fun, and often times finding a repair company adds stress. This was not the case. The communication was great, and the assessment and resolution to our problem were fast. We will recommend them to friends and use them for our hearing and air needs in the future!

Cannot say enough good things about this company. Waylon was wonderful with everything from walking us through our options to ensuring that the job was done to our complete satisfaction. We used them for replacement of heating/air units as well as replacement of our hot water heater, and the technicians for both were top notch. You will not be disappointed if you choose Cunningham Associates. Thanks to you all for a job well done!

We have been using Cunningham for several years - and their service people are some of the best we can imagine. Just yesterday (9/24/14) we had some additional work (beyond twice-a-year servicing), not too major, and """"Dusty"""" was efficient, explained things well, and the result has been exactly what we expected. There might be cheaper HVAC service people out there - but remember what Grandpa said: """"You get what you pay for!"""" There is a discount for parts when you have their service contract. We've had ultra-quick service when we've had a problem pop up. And Bob, the owner, is all about integrity, a serve-the-client orientation, and smarts. Semi-annual service calls are very thorough, never any up-selling, and you get well-trained folks. Good stuff!

They installed a new furnace unit for me this week. They were on time, professional, and very courteous. My old furnace was very old and very large, and I know it was a nightmare to remove from a small space. The technicians did a great job and I will recommend them to everyone from now on!
