Melissa E.Would not recommend. Much later arrival than told. Repair was done but immediately experienced issues. Were supposed to be back next morning...took off work...no arrival until late afternoon and had already contacted someone else to come out. Not confident in their service or organization.
AVOID THIS COMPANY! We started our process with CT Heat Pros in August. They booked 2 days to install ductless AC units. I took these days off of work. I called ahead to confirm I was all set for my install. They came day 1 and worked a half day and said not all my stuff was in but hopefully it would be in that day. Day 2 they were a no show. I called and my stuff was on back order. Had more work done in September still not done though. After many no shows we finally got our day booked where they actually showed up. When the electrician came to hook up the condensers he said our panel wasn't enough. This should have been caught while getting our initial quote. After a sub panel was put in they finished the units. 2 units failed and they had to come back within the week. They did not finish putting covers on the wires and tubes. They look HORRIBLE! I asked about the covers and was told they would let me know when they came in. Nothing!!! Finally we called again this week to see what was going on and we were booked again yesterday and again no show. Then again tonight another no show. I missed work many times, kids baseball games for these appointments and sat around waiting for them. The work was never completed and now I am having to buy covers to finish the job. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!
James S.We lost our boiler three weeks ago had a different company all set for the installation then at the last minute backed out. Had a friend suggest I call Justin from CtHeat pros which I did, we're on it quickly had my boiler installed and running in one day great work highly recommended
Ryan H.Called them yesterday and was expecting to be put on a waiting list, they were at my front door in 30 minutes. Within an hour my heat was fixed, great prompt service. Will definitely call them again!
Tanisha S.I highly recommend using CT heat pros it was a great experience they were super educated and very professional not only were they on time but they got the job done any questions I had they answered!! Their prices are amazing the crew was very respectful I will definitely be using them in the future it was overall an amazing experience thank you to Justin and his team
Great at first impressions. Then it ends. Started work and than does not return calls or come back with excuses. Waiting left messages and makes promise that are not kept.
Update, 9/8/2019.
The owner of CT Heat Pros has contacted me asking to take down my original review, and has threatened to file defamation claims.
After considering his objections I am editing it to avoid any potentially libelous accusations.
My one-star rating is not due to the work that was done; that probably does warrant more than one star. The work they managed to complete was adequate, and the equipment appears to be operating as designed.
The rating is due to the company's overall and continued lack of professional courtesy.
I signed a contract with CT Heat Pros in April 2019 for work upgrading my heating and cooling system. I made the mistake of paying them in full for the job before they completed it, and once my check cleared it became very difficult for me to get anyone to come back to my home or even return my calls. As of the writing of this review they still have not completed the work, which the contract claimed would be done in 10 days. I even agreed with the owner that a few weeks would be fine since it was a large job - but it has now been the better part of 5 months, which I find unreasonable. Only now that I have posted a poor Yelp review is the company giving me any earnest attention.
When I signed the estimate, it was conveyed verbally that I would be getting York brand units installed, and instead Heil brand units were delivered. The written estimate / invoice does not include any mention of the brand of furnace / air conditioners. The owner claimed that the York and Heil units were comparable, so I agreed to allow the job to continue with the alternate brand. I admit that I do not know the quality of Heil versus York, only that the components we originally discussed were not what ended up being shipped to my house.
Many parts of what I expected to be under the originally promised work were never completed, despite my repeated attempts to have CT Heat Pros address them.
On one occasion CT Heat Pros left my outdoor gates propped open after leaving for the day, which resulted in my dogs escaping the yard. It took my wife over an hour to find them. While I agree it is not the company's responsibility to ""wrangle people's dogs,"" as the owner has pointed out, I was clear before any work was done that the yard fence needed to remain closed when not in use.
On another occasion doors in my house were left open (again, after workers had left for the day) from the outside, through my garage and into my basement, leaving my home completely open to the outdoors.
On yet another occasion the door to the top of my basement stairs was left ajar, posing a risk to my toddler who nearly opened it.
Again, it is their lack of respect for my home and the way the company ultimately ended up treating me that I am upset about. I feel like the moment they got my money, I was no longer a priority for them. I made dozens of attempts to get them to finish the original job, which they never finished.
To be fair, after I posted the original review the owner did offer to come address the outstanding work. After asking this company to complete the job for nearly four months, I find it insulting that I am only being taken seriously after publishing a poor review. I have told him I consider our contract complete.
The owner of the company has asked what he can do to make me happy. As I do not wish to continue to do business with his company, I have no suggestions for what he can do for me directly.
In general terms, it will make me happy to know he's striving to do better business in our community.
The owner is a personable individual, and I think he has the potential to have a respectable company.
He was very responsive at first, and did show up quickly to write an estimate for the job.
I thought the price he quoted for the work was competitive.
He showed up promptly to start the job, and even got most of it done in a reasonable amount of time.
I believe CT Heat Pros can avoid future poor reviews and improve their business by considering some of the following:
1. Do a better job of listening to your customers. Pay attention to the little details that are important to them and their homes.
2. When you write up an estimate / invoice, include specific make, model, and part numbers and break out the pricing more clearly.
3. Keep your promises to show up for appointments, and if you can't, immediately reach out with an alternate date and time, and make sure you keep that one. Don't repeatedly string people along with no-call / no-shows.
4. Provide paperwork immediately for any warranties, service contracts, invoices, etc.
5. The customer, not the contractor, gets to define if a good job was done. If you feel you are adding value to a job, make your customer aware of it while it is happening. Put it in writing.
6. Most importantly, if a customer gives you a bad review, don't get defensive and insult and threaten them. This won't ever help your reputation.
Candise L.If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Worst company to work with. The tech came out and was supposed to clean and inspect the unit. Come to find out when my husband looked at the unit it wasn't cleaned. Refrigerant wasn't added as I was told it was and billed for. Save your money and go with a better company.
In my opinion I have found this to not be a reputable company. Wish there was a 1/4 star but one is all I can post. I signed a contract on May 14th for a new AC and gas heating system and still have neither AC or heat. Justin has made many promises to fix the situation but now doesn't even contact us. Buyers PLEASE beware
Priscilla R.I contacted Justin to replace my oil tank and service my boiler and AC unit. My tank at the time was reading 1/8 of oil, instead of Justin and his team verifying that there was in fact oil in the tank, they pulled off the old tank and oil went flying EVERYWHERE! Oil spilled all over my driveway and garage. It was a MESS! My neighbor panicked & called the city b/c oil got into the street drains, the city advised me that i could be obligated to clean out the street gutters and possibly fined up to $20,000.00. Thank God when the city inspected the drains it rained the previous day & some of the oil from the spill had drained out, preventing the 20k fine. I paid for the oil clean up and my family scrubbed and scrubbed the garage & driveway with ""oil dri"". The caps that were
That night I went to take a shower & I had no hot water, Justin's team forgot to turn my boiler back on after servicing the boiler, although he did send someone from his team the next day to turn the boiler back on, it was just extremely frustrating after the oil spill ( a nightmare).
The city then advised me that a permit was suppose to be pulled from the company that did the oil tank swap. I contacted Justin & he was irritated & advised me that hes never had to pull a permit for an oil tank swap before. Every town is different, Shelton, CT requires a permit. This is when he began to ignore my calls, I was practically begging him to pull the permit so that I was in good standing with the town. He promised to have the permit pulled & it never happened.
I went to the town myself & put the application in for a permit. The inspector at the town advised me this process was suppose to be done by the company who swapped out the oil tank not I.
DO NOT HIRE '' CT HEAT PROFESSIONALS'', he may be 100-200$ initially but in the end you will spend more & he will not answer your calls once he receives payment.
