I want to be clear, the installers who did the work did their best with the information provided.
That being said everything started with an estimate on a Saturday. I got a good feeling because the worker showed up on time to do the estimate and advised exactly what he was going to do. The plan was to run 30 foot of steel pipe from my kitchen to the outside of the house where I was going to set propane tanks. The work order advised a soffit connector will be used to connect the tank to the regulator etc.
When the estimate was complete it was approximately $1,000 to do the work that I was requesting. I was fine enough with the estimate and asked when the job would be completed. The tech made a call and said ""very likely Tuesday. but I don't know for sure call back on Monday.""
Fair enough. I called on Monday and was only able to get a Thursday or Friday install. This was disappointing but not a huge deal we scheduled it for later in the week. I took the day off of work to be here to show where I wanted to line run and just make sure everything went well. I got a call the day of the install that the plumber called out sick and wouldn't be available. The man who called me advised the plumber who gave the estimate will be able to come out on Tuesday. I told them how I took the day off and this is inconvenient all I got was an apology and he will be out on Tuesday.
Again at this point I'm not too terribly upset however I was starting to get uneasy feelings. So Tuesday came around it's finally time to install. The plumber who arrived told me he had no notes that were significant from the initial estimate and that he would be able to do the job but he wasn't told about the basics or the more intricate parts of the job. He also advised me that he was not comfortable connecting to the propane tank. whereas the other installer was going to connect it for me and I figured it was part of the bid this man let me know he could not do that. He also said it would be ridiculous to run steel pipe and take all day to make the cuts instead he opted for a flexible hose which he had available. He said it took significantly less time and was a quality product. When I asked him if that change the estimate being as how the labor was so much less he told me no. The product was more expensive and the bid was well below what should have been asked etc etc. Kind of a lame excuse but I already agreed to the price and he was able to provide at least some of what the estimate was for. Again I don't fault the final plumber he was picking up the pieces from a bid that was written by someone else with the company.
I would never do business with these people again. Besides giving me incorrect dates and then canceling on me which was beyond their control I didn't get what I paid for and that's what's most disturbing also the fact that they used a much less labor-intensive product that doesn't seem to be as solid as steel pipe yet the estimate somehow remains the same. That's ridiculous. I have multiple plumbing needs from meeting a hose outlet on my deck. To fixing a leak at the fitting under my tub. I'll be sure to take my business somewhere else.
Update 6/6/19 : Michael from the company called unprompted and did a ""quality spot check"" I was impressed by that and modified my star count. If they do anything else to rectify the situation I'll update again.

I have had these people out a couple of times and they are great. They are always on time and don't try to sell me stuff I don't need. James that came out yesterday even offered to clean some filters that was not part of the deal I signed up for so very good guy! Some companies like this can be a nightmare so it's nice to have one you can trust.

From my first call the office staff was amazing. I scheduled an appointment for next day but when a tech freed up they quickly called me back and fit me in for my seized garbage disposal. My tech, Sean D, arrived at my home and was not only effective in solving my issue but also was a joy to have help me. He was only at my house for about 15 minutes before fixing issue and rather than charge an exuberant fee he allowed service to be ""on the house"". I am a new home owner and appreciate these types of gestures, I would recommend and will continue to call Crystal Blue Plumbing for any of my plumbing mishaps or heating needs. Thank you Sean and company!

WARNING!! This company hires incompetent plumbers! We had a plumber out to our office several times. He was unable to unclog our lines, which caused a massive sewage overflow in our office. Cost us thousands of dollars in damages. When I contacted the owner Tim regarding the $850.00 ( I wanted refunded) for the cost of the original job. I explained what occurred that the plumber did not do his job and that his incompetent work led to our office being flooded with sewage. I received a letter from this companies attorney stating that the owner Tim is not taking responsibility for their shoddy workmanship and there will be no refund. Also, that I needed to only speak to their attorney from this point forward. Don't use this company!!

We had a valve in our downstairs line bust and flood our bathroom and ground floor. After calling several local plumbing companies I came across Crystal Blue. They had an opening and immediately dispatched out Ryan Murray. He identified the issue within minutes and went to repairing the leak. In the process he found other plumbing issues that could have caused flooding upstairs and fixed the issues at hand. I can't thank Ryan enough for all he did to insure we have no issues in the future. The staff both at the office and Ryan himself were extremely helpful and caring and I would highly recommend him and the whole Crystal Blue team. Ryan turned a devastating issue into a positive experience. Thank you so much Ryan and team!

Thank you Crystal Blue Plumbing!!! Not only did they come out the next day and take care of our problem they actually found what was causing the problem that has gone undiagnosed for years.
After spending a few hours in our warehouse their knowledgeable techs gave us options to repair the issue so that we will not have this recurring problem that has cost us a significant amount of money.
We, as a family owned local business truely appreciate an honest contractor with fair pricing and Crystal Blue Plumbing has proven to be a company with integrity.
You have gained a lifetime customer....and will get a referral from us anytime we can!

This company visited the jobsite, provided a written ""estimate"", and we scheduled a time for the work to be completed. I received a call the morning of the job, after arranging for tenants to be home from work to allow access, notifying me that the estimator was sick and they wouldn't be able to complete the job. I called to reschedule and was told that the written ""estimate"" that described, in specific detail, the work that would need to be performed for the job, was NOT an ""estimate"", but an ""exploratory"". The owner stated that the price on the ""estimate"" was just a starting point and that they were not bound to honor it, even if there were no complications with the work.
I'm a builder. I'm not naive. I know that sometimes things are found during a job that alter the required work, and therefore the price. That's why it's called an ""estimate"", but it's also why reputable businesses generally stick by their estimate unless large variables are uncovered.
This company basically wanted me to allow them to start a job with NO estimate or cap on price. Beware. This is the sign of a disreputable business. This is NOT standard business practice.

Our Furnace stopped working on our rental and we called a few ""24 hour companies"" and Crystal Blue was the only company that answered our call and late in the evening! They took our information as they were booked out that night and that I would get a call in the morning... Sure enough, first thing in the morning I got a call from Tim and they were able to send someone out later that evening! I expected to have to wait a couple days and have to put my tenant up in a hotel for a couple nights!
Micheal called with a heads up as I was told by Tim and showed up in a 15 min window, ON TIME! He was very professional, didn't push any crazy suggestions and was able to diagnose and repair on the spot! Prices were very reasonable and my tenant was so excited to be up and running.
I will definitely use and refer these guys again!

The Owner, Tim, reached out to me after he saw my previous Yelp Review. Tim apologized for this inconvenience and miscommunication. Tim was very polite and understanding and has reimbursed me for my out of pockets expenses for the drywall I paid to another company. For this I have changed my rating from one star to five stars. Tim said this is a family owned business and after speaking to Tim, I sincerely believe he cares about his customers.

This company is awesome!! Called and got a quote and an appointment right away!! Tom and Jaime did a great job fixing our leak and replacing the valves!! We will definitely be using them again!!
