Jay K.I am not interested in emailing a document with my credit card information without any security and encryption so you can then print it out. Was quoted $195 an hour not including parts. I was then asked to fill out and return a credit card authorization form. I said that I would be paying in cash and was told that I still needed to fill out the form and return. I asked about what they do with the credit card information and was told they print it out and put it in the file. I simply don't feel comfortable working with a company who has customers emailing unencrypted credit card information. He did go on to say that they destroy this information, as if they can completely remove it from their email servers anyway, but there's no way I'm sending my info unencrypted to a company like that - no thanks! I can't imagine this business takes customer information & security seriously. https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/credit-cards/sending-credit-card-information/
Jeff L.This is WORST Plumbing company I have ever delt with. They are Straight up Liars. I had installed a brand new water heater. Had an appointment with them between 11-1 they called at 1 and told me they were going to be late bc a plumber was on a job far away. I asked how long until they come and the guy couldn't tell me. The guy came finally at 5:30 so I waited for 6 hours for him to come. The guy fixes everything and leaves and I sign the paperwork for $0.00 because it was warranty work because it was a brand new water heater. I had to give them my Credit Card for them to come out even though it was a warranty job from RHEEM. They wouldn't come unless I signed an authorization for for $216 in case it wasn't the water heater that was the problem. Well it was the water heater and three days later a charge for $216 shows up on my account. I called up and the guy was giving me the run around. This place is a TOTAL SCAM!!!! I complained to the plumber that came that I had waited 6 hours for them to come bc Crossroads told me he was on another job far away. The guy told me that was total BS he came from the office in Bergenfield...... DON'T USE THESE GUYS. THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND!!!!!!!
Hired them to do an emergency fix for a bad plumbing done by another person. Team showed up in time and were very professional. These guys seem to be on the more expensive side and probably overcharged me somewhat due to my desperate situation. However, when I asked for a short note to explain what had to be fixed to file with insurance they kept promising each time I called and after a month of begging them, I just gave up. I would probably use someone else, who is more reliable and honest next time.
I really wish I did not have to give one star. This business is horrible. I tried to get them out since last week to meet their commitment. They call and made an appointment for Tuesday between 1-5. At 4:31 I called them after waiting 3 1/2 hours and they said they were on the turnpike in route to me from Carlstadt. 2 hours later Joe in their office said that they were in Wykcoff and would not make it. Then he said they would come. Finally the owner was supposed to come after hours and 10 1/2 hours later no show no call. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. I wish I read the other reviews before dealing with this nonsense. I learned my lesson.
I normally care very little about posting reviews even on bad companies. Goes to show how bad this company really is. I wish I read the other reviews first before calling them. Avoid at all costs. $235 an hour with jobs that can over past that hour? lmao what a joke. Won't do after 5pm and weekends because it costs time and a half. Went to Craigslist, took a chance on a posted ad, boom the job cost only $150 flat rate, no per hour fee....
Oh and that ""free estimate""? yeah... i don't think so. It's not free at all. They ask for a credit card before giving you that estimate and will charge you if you don't use their service for pointing out what's wrong with it without actually fixing it, calling it a diagnosis fee. By the way, the guy was so completely off his diagnosis that it's not even funny. Definitely lost money on this one.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID at all costs....if you really are a glutton for punishment, at least record the conversation so you can go back to what was said and not get ripped off.
Horrible! Went through home serve to get them when furnace broke. Waited 12 1/2 hours and kid that came had no idea what to do. Kept calling someone to walk him through. Wrote a ticket saying needed main electrical panel replaced and they would be back next day. Took off again and never showed until after 6 pm. A different guy showed up with only a water bottle in hand. I led him to furnace and half hour later went down to see what he was doing and it seems I jolted him from a nap. I asked why he wasn't replacing the part and he said he had no knowledge of a part that was ordered. I asked to speak to manager and was told none on duty. He asked to see the work order. I became alarmed and asked to see ID which he couldn't provide. Said his name was Tio. I called my husband and said I was nervous and something was weird. The man then walked out of my house! I left a message for the service to have a manager call me and it was Tio that called. He laughed in the phone and said not his problem and it was me that needed heat, not him. First kid said was a mom and pop operation with 4 technicians yet when I called home serve they said their was 4 managers in the company. so it seems all 4 workers are managers and suspiciously they don't show up until after 6 anywhere which makes me wonder if it is a legit company or they do this on side after a day job which is why they are impossible to get a hold of. Overall, very shady company. First guy they sent lied and second guy seems like he was totally out of it on something.
I recently had a break in the water line on my property. Thankfully I had insurance. The insurance company contracts with Crossroads Plumbing in Bergenfield, NJ. From my first contact thru completion of job they were terrific. Everyone was polite, helpful and very professional. On the day they were to do work, I had a dental emergency (needed a root canal). They needed me to sign agreement before they could dig on my property to get to pipe to be repaired. They even sent someone over to the dentist's office to meet me for my signature. The dentist was in another town, approximately eight miles away. They went above & beyond. Another plumber might take you off the day's schedule and make you wait to come again. Everyone was wonderful. They did exactly what I was told they would do. They left property neat and tidy. I can't say enough good things about this outfit, from the office workers, answering service to all the laborers. An A+ outfit in my opinion!!
Tough to work with and get straight answers. Work is less than average. The company plays game with their contracts. Received a contract for work and they did not include a bunch of items that were surprise ""extras"" after they were in the middle of the job. We should have done our due diligence but we paid the price. We will never work with this company again. Plenty of reputable companies in the area.
Lew A.Crossroads came to our house to install a pressure flush toilet which we purchased from Lowe's. We had been turned by 2 other companies that told us they would have to supply the toilet in order to install it. The technician came in and brought the toilet up to our 2nd floor bathroom, removed and took away the existing toilet. Then he installed the new toilet and explained how it worked. When he left there was no sign that he had been there. My wife and I are very happy with service we got from Crossroads.

This company is the worst company ever and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy! My five year old knows more about plumbing than these guys!!! Very, very disappointed in the quality of work, the bill was outrageous, and had to bring in another plumber in to fix what this jerk-off messed up! DO NOT HIRE CROSSROADS PLUMBING UNLESS YOU LIKE HALFASS WORK!
