Hired them to do an emergency fix for a bad plumbing done by another person. Team showed up in time and were very professional. These guys seem to be on the more expensive side and probably overcharged me somewhat due to my desperate situation. However, when I asked for a short note to explain what had to be fixed to file with insurance they kept promising each time I called and after a month of begging them, I just gave up. I would probably use someone else, who is more reliable and honest next time.
I really wish I did not have to give one star. This business is horrible. I tried to get them out since last week to meet their commitment. They call and made an appointment for Tuesday between 1-5. At 4:31 I called them after waiting 3 1/2 hours and they said they were on the turnpike in route to me from Carlstadt. 2 hours later Joe in their office said that they were in Wykcoff and would not make it. Then he said they would come. Finally the owner was supposed to come after hours and 10 1/2 hours later no show no call. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. I wish I read the other reviews before dealing with this nonsense. I learned my lesson.
I normally care very little about posting reviews even on bad companies. Goes to show how bad this company really is. I wish I read the other reviews first before calling them. Avoid at all costs. $235 an hour with jobs that can over past that hour? lmao what a joke. Won't do after 5pm and weekends because it costs time and a half. Went to Craigslist, took a chance on a posted ad, boom the job cost only $150 flat rate, no per hour fee....
Oh and that ""free estimate""? yeah... i don't think so. It's not free at all. They ask for a credit card before giving you that estimate and will charge you if you don't use their service for pointing out what's wrong with it without actually fixing it, calling it a diagnosis fee. By the way, the guy was so completely off his diagnosis that it's not even funny. Definitely lost money on this one.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID at all costs....if you really are a glutton for punishment, at least record the conversation so you can go back to what was said and not get ripped off.
Horrible! Went through home serve to get them when furnace broke. Waited 12 1/2 hours and kid that came had no idea what to do. Kept calling someone to walk him through. Wrote a ticket saying needed main electrical panel replaced and they would be back next day. Took off again and never showed until after 6 pm. A different guy showed up with only a water bottle in hand. I led him to furnace and half hour later went down to see what he was doing and it seems I jolted him from a nap. I asked why he wasn't replacing the part and he said he had no knowledge of a part that was ordered. I asked to speak to manager and was told none on duty. He asked to see the work order. I became alarmed and asked to see ID which he couldn't provide. Said his name was Tio. I called my husband and said I was nervous and something was weird. The man then walked out of my house! I left a message for the service to have a manager call me and it was Tio that called. He laughed in the phone and said not his problem and it was me that needed heat, not him. First kid said was a mom and pop operation with 4 technicians yet when I called home serve they said their was 4 managers in the company. so it seems all 4 workers are managers and suspiciously they don't show up until after 6 anywhere which makes me wonder if it is a legit company or they do this on side after a day job which is why they are impossible to get a hold of. Overall, very shady company. First guy they sent lied and second guy seems like he was totally out of it on something.
I recently had a break in the water line on my property. Thankfully I had insurance. The insurance company contracts with Crossroads Plumbing in Bergenfield, NJ. From my first contact thru completion of job they were terrific. Everyone was polite, helpful and very professional. On the day they were to do work, I had a dental emergency (needed a root canal). They needed me to sign agreement before they could dig on my property to get to pipe to be repaired. They even sent someone over to the dentist's office to meet me for my signature. The dentist was in another town, approximately eight miles away. They went above & beyond. Another plumber might take you off the day's schedule and make you wait to come again. Everyone was wonderful. They did exactly what I was told they would do. They left property neat and tidy. I can't say enough good things about this outfit, from the office workers, answering service to all the laborers. An A+ outfit in my opinion!!
Tough to work with and get straight answers. Work is less than average. The company plays game with their contracts. Received a contract for work and they did not include a bunch of items that were surprise ""extras"" after they were in the middle of the job. We should have done our due diligence but we paid the price. We will never work with this company again. Plenty of reputable companies in the area.
Lew A.Crossroads came to our house to install a pressure flush toilet which we purchased from Lowe's. We had been turned by 2 other companies that told us they would have to supply the toilet in order to install it. The technician came in and brought the toilet up to our 2nd floor bathroom, removed and took away the existing toilet. Then he installed the new toilet and explained how it worked. When he left there was no sign that he had been there. My wife and I are very happy with service we got from Crossroads.

This company is the worst company ever and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy! My five year old knows more about plumbing than these guys!!! Very, very disappointed in the quality of work, the bill was outrageous, and had to bring in another plumber in to fix what this jerk-off messed up! DO NOT HIRE CROSSROADS PLUMBING UNLESS YOU LIKE HALFASS WORK!
I would give this company less stars if I could. We went through a home warranty company to get this company. It took us days to get this company to finally come out. We had to keep calling them. They never called us to schedule an appointment. Finally, they told us they would be there between 1-6. They did not show up until almost 9 pm and yes...I took off work. The plumber ended up shoving in a snake type device and breaking the pipe away from the wall. Then he said it is broken and he could not fix it. We would have to get a carpenter come out and open the wall before they could come back and see what the problem was. Mind you, this was just a simple backed up sink. They have stated that it was improperly done in the first place. Now, unless this plumber can see through walls, I am not sure how he knows this. Luckily, my husband witnessed this whole thing. Problem is, we now have to hire someone to open and fix the wall...and bring a different plumber in. These guys are horrible, horrible, horrible
This business is horrendous! A plumber visited my home to fix a radiator. He clearly did not know what he was doing and advised me that the way to get my radiator to work is to keep my house temp at 80 degrees. He left my radiator covers off and on the floor (sloppy plus giving more work to the customer). The owner later called, to let me know that the plumber who visited was not up to par on his radiator knowledge and he doesn't agree with the advice he provided. He would like to come over and check out the issue himself. We chose a date and he never showed up! I called three times, once the day before and twice on the day of and never received a response. The worst part is just to walk in your door they charge over $200. I will never use them again.
