***disclaimer*** They did not actually do work at my house. This review is only about pricing (or integrity...depending on how you view it)

We installed a new sink which is much deeper than the original one, so the drain pipes need to be re-routed. The downstairs toilet also happened to leak a bit (we changed the hose but it didn't stop leaking...so we decided to let the professionals to take a look when they come and fix the sink).

I called and got a quote: $125 per hour for minor plumbing work like this. I scheduled an appointment for estimation. A technician showed up. He first claimed that the toilet needed major work; he had to rebuild the whole thing. He quoted us 1.5 hours of labor plus parts for both kitchen and toilet. That's more than $400. My husband and I didn't feel like rebuilding the toilet. Gut feeling told us that it's not a major problem, so we asked for a quote that only includes the kitchen (we did ask if he can spare us some putty so that we could seal the valve it temporarily). However this time around we were told that the labor changed to 2 hours for kitchen only and we still need to pay $325. I asked why the labor time changed to 2 hours and he basically said that he must take at least 2 hours to get the job done properly. (Why did he quote 1.5 hours then? and that includes major work for the toilet!)

We didn't proceed because at that point I was uncomfortable with the new quote. It seems like this guy is unwilling to work on a job that is less than $300.

We later called another plumbing service and got everything done with less than $200 (drain pipes and changing toilet valve). The new guy confirmed that there's no need for major work for the toilet and the job was done in less than 1.5 hours.

So, our washing machine could not drain the soapy water and it kept backing up. I tried to use a wire coat hanger, then tried our manual snake to remove any blockage. No luck, so we called the experts.

We have never used a trained professional to come out and do this in the past. It has always been one of the countless ""friends"" (untrained handymen) that my Dad swears by. At 10 bucks an hour, these guys will try to fix ANYTHING! My Dad is world famous for making tons of ""friends"" in the Home Depot parking lot. Nothing against handymen, but I would prefer that we have someone that is actually trained in fixing plumbing problems.

So we called Courtesy Plumbing. The receptionist was nice and said that she would have one of her guys at our house by the afternoon. Sure enough, I got a heads up phone call from ""Victor"" who said he was on his way and would be there shortly. It was nice to get the heads up, so I could clear a workspace for him.

Victor shows up, smiles, and says hello. Nice guy. Next, as we explain the story, he pulls the washing machine aside and inspects the lines, and turns the machine on. He checked out the hidden drain lines with a flashlight, and had a diagnosis. My wife and I were cleaning the garage, and were impressed with how effficient he was.

Next, Victor wheels in a motorized snake to fix the problem. He did not talk much. Homeboy means business. He opened our drain, and got to work. He was hitting some resistance, but continued working on the blockage. After 20 minutes or so, we tried to drain some water, and it was better. Victor was not satisfied though.

He ran the snake back down the drain and said he was able to clear 75 feet worth of our drains. Awesome! Now the water is draining faster than ever, and we can take a shower without water slowly building up. Not to mention he resolved the original problem. We can return to washing clothes again.

In the end, we are more than satisfied with Courtesy Plumbing, and the great service they provided. Before leaving, Victor made sure there was nothing else he could do for us, and he was off. He left his name and invoice making sure that we knew to just call if anything happens in the future.

Before he left, I asked him where he was from, and he said Santa Maria. Aww man, that's why the dude was so cool. Thats how people are built out on the Central Coast of California. Good, hard working and humble people out there. Thanks Victor!

I called them in the morning because I had a sink that was overflowing. The came over within a couple of hours and fixed the problem within 5 minutes. There is no question, I will be using them for all future plumbing emergencies. Thanks Tony! I could not be more satisfied.

Abraham was at the house before the schedule time and was waiting on me. Before coming into the house he put booties on. He found the very simple problem, fixed it, only charged me the ""Trip Fee"" and was out of the house all within 20 minutes. Can't beat customer service like that. I highly recommend calling COURTESY PLUMBING.

I have an upstairs toilet that has been a problem ever since I have owned my home. I usually have to have a plulmber come clean the line every few years due to low water flow and paper causing clogging. I have other companies come out and quote prices of up to $900 to clear the clog and remove and reset the toilet...REALLY!
Courtesy plumbing, especially Lou Wiley, came out and arrived early. He had to use 3 different machines to clear the line and it took him 3 hours. He explained everything he was doing and answered any questiions I had. He gave me the price up front and low and behold it was $240 to do what the other company wanted $900 for. He also cleaned out another line in the bathroom while he was here for $75 dollars. I will never use another plumber. Thank you Lou and Courtesy plumbing!

Fantastic service. Extremely knowledgeable about my Moen fixtures. Excellent service! They installed a brand new faucet I had purchased online when my usual plumber turned me down and told me that he wouldn't install something that he didn't sell. Someone lost a client, and courtesy plumbing inherited a new one.
