On May 1, 1941, Cota & Cota was established by Ken and Helen Cota, who ran the business from one of the earliest 24-hour gas stations in Vermont. Starting with just two trucks, they delivered kerosene, referred to as ""range oil"" in those times. At that time, the cost for customers was eight cents per gallon. Their dedication and effort led to an expansion in 1953, when they opened an office at 4 Green St. in Bellows Falls, VT. Now, over 75 years and three generations later, Cota & Cota leads the heating industry. As we stay current with market developments and advanced technology, we will never lose sight of our beginnings or the beliefs that shaped our company.
