I called on a Saturday morning with an outside leak that necessitated water to the house being shut off. Coon's answering service picked up my call right away and paged the on-call plumber. Gavin called me promptly and was at my house 10 minutes later. After digging to find the problem he was able to stop the leak and we agreed to schedule the long term fix for later and not continue at the emergency rate. The emergency rate is reasonable (for a plumber) under $150 an hour with no additional trip charge. It's nice that they don't try to gouge people with an urgent problem.

The plumbers found the leak in the upstairs bath,it had damaged the moulding and soaked carpet through the wall into the bedroom.after replacing every part,he told us we needed to replace the toilet.it still leaked.we paid over $200.00 for the service.Went to home depot bought another toilet,replaced it myself and everything is fine now.I will never recommend this company.I don't understand how this business has survived.

Our house was built in the 70s and we've been using Coon plumbing for the past 16 years. They've always been courteous, accurately diagnosed problems, explained things clearly, and fixed the problem the first time. The cost has always seemed reasonable. When there's been an emergency, they've responded quickly. Having Coon Plumbing in town gives us peace of mind knowing that when the next, inevitable plumbing problem occurs, a reputable plumbing professional is just a phone call away. They're like Jefferson Healthcare for your pipes!

Our kitchen sink drain was barely draining, and we also needed to have a new faucet set installed. The plumber called before he came, which I appreciated (gave me time to take the dishes which I hadn't washed yet out of the sink and stash them in a cardboard box in another room), and did a meticulous job of installing the new faucet set and unclogging the drain. Our house is 100 years old, and the plumbing is mostly original and touchy to work on, but the plumber did a great job--no more dripping faucets, and the drain is fast again. He also gave me some good tips on keeping the drain clear. Highly recommend!

This is the second time Coon has given what we believe to be "" less than good"" service. Today we had them come out because a frost free spigot, they installed, was leaking. They said they don't sell them anymore, because of the problems they had, and they wouldn't warranty it. It cost $100 service fee for a 15 minute check, and he replaced a washer. Had they told us they wouldn't warranty it, or told us our options for repair, we would have saved $100.
Poor communication on the phone.
Last time we talked to the woman who answered the phone and hoped to get a plumber out to look at our pool.
After two calls, no one ever called us back. I guess they didn't want that job.

First time using Coon Plumbing. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment for a leaky pipe. John was very professional, informative, and courteous. He answered all of my questions. I was extremely pleased with his work. I would personally request John if and when I have future work.

They are great at getting things done quickly, unfortunately, they do this by making their employees work through their lunch breaks and most of their regular breaks. So if you are okay with an unethical plumber and don't mind risking getting ripped off by someone like this, then it's a really nice place. If you do care about ethics, and how a place treats its employees don't go here.
