I've tried working with Cool Breeze a handful of times and nothing is ever easy. Often appointments are confirmed which then come and go without a word, followed by me making more calls and emails to reschedule. So many hours of my life and PTO wasted waiting for them. The work they do is fine and the price is reasonable, but the unreliability really kills it for me.

In one example I was trying to get my 20 year old water heater replaced. After several attempts to set an appointment I was told their master plumber would come out to look at a few things looked at. The process of getting a quote and an install date took a ridiculous number of months, so much so that I said I'd stop working with them if they didn't respond. That got kicked up to a higher level who knocked off a small % off the price of my quoted services which I really appreciated and made the install happen (2 stars because I do have hot water in the house again). However, one of the services included a permit/inspection for the water heater which after repeated calls and emails - and being told an inspection would be scheduled multiple times - they've never made the appt.

I try really hard to be a patient and responsible home owner but Cool Breeze makes that difficult. I get things are busy and if they can't do something, fine, just let me know instead of saying something will be done and then go silent. At this point I consider the permit a lost cause and have given up. I'm never going to rely on Cool Breeze again and will steer away anyone who asks.

Our furnace went the day after we brought our baby home from the hospital during cold January. Cool Breeze was able to find us a new furnace and install within a week. We are now comfortable in our home with our new baby!

We lost heat last night after a power surge (thanks Pepco). Called hoping for immediate service but the owner said quickest he could get someone to the house was 9am. Chris arrived right at 9am. I watched him work, first doing the initial diagnosis, then removing the motherboard, a panel behind it to get to the transformer. It was fried (thanks Pepco). Top marks for the company being out quickly and arriving right on time, the price was fair considering I watched all the specialized tools Chris used and his expertise dealing with live wires. $384 not cheap but considering all that Chris did I feel like I got very good value. Thanks Chris and thanks Cool Breeze. I'll call you next time I need AC/heat service again.

Getting outstanding service, honest service, affordable service that you can trust feels very rare - especially in the DMV. This company is one of those rare examples. We thought the AC was broken as the fan would not stop - turned out all we needed was a new battery in the thermostat. On a second visit, they updated our VERY OLD furnace thermostat. Charged us very reasonable rates for both. We feel blessed to have a company we can trust.

We live in apartment building and the Air conditioning unit stopped working over the weekend, we contacted them and had a technician first thing Monday morning, the unit was over 15 years and needed to be replaced, Lily was on top to get us a price quote and by Thursday morning sent the technician to install the new unit...
Technician was professional kind and pleasant to deal with...

Second time calling Cool Breeze. They first came out to assess an air flow problem in one of my vents on the second floor. They were the only company with ability to run a camera down the line and the tech was realistic and straightforward about the resolution. Called again this week after ac stopped working. There was some ice accumulation around the exterior and interior junction points so I thought it might be out of refrigerant. A nice young man came out promptly the next day. He was obviously quite intimidated at the age of my unit (1987) and told me I would have to refill with refrigerant to fix and they may not work. It would be $1000 for the refrigerant alone ($225 per lb!), And I needed 4 lbs. The suggested alternative was to replace the unit which would cost around $4500. I didn't like either idea so I opted to wait. I'm the meantime I called an old standby HVAC pro that I had not been able to reach. I got him and he cane by an hour later. He said my refrigerator level was fine and wanted to know if the blower was working so he asked me to adjust the thermostat. He also cleaned out parts of the unit with the hose. 15 minutes into his visit the ac was up and running. He said although and old unit that i don't need to replace until it totally breaks. The new ones aren't as tough. $250 all in and I haven't had a problem since. I'm not sure I'll call Cool Breeze again. On the one hand they were pretty responsive. On the other the tech lied to me about the refrigerant and if I'd not called sometime else I would have waited hundreds of dollars. Tsk tsk!

AC was not putting out cold air. Technician came and added Freon to my ancient air conditioner and I was up and running. The service was very fast and the technician was very friendly and worked very quickly.

We recently had a plumbing issue. All signs pointed to a faucet in the kitchen. We had the parts shipped to Cool Breeze who came & replaced them for a reasonable price. ... flash forward a week ... a puddle in the same space as before just smaller . The plumber stopped by located the source of the water... the attic HVAC unit's drain . They replaced it .. all water dried up . My luck 2 different leaks running to the same place in the unfinished basement...but it was TRUE ! Happy to report BOTH leaks fixed! Can't THANK YOU enough for help us protect our home. Cool Breeze has been our HVAC company for years but this was our first experience with their plumbing staff . Happy to report they were awesome. Thanks guys !

A/C stopped blowing cold air.
Although like most companies, they require a fee to come out and perform diagnostics, the tech was prompt, texted ahead, quickly assessed issue (slow leak and low free-on), called and provided recommendations for repair, and promptly repaired after explaining everything and getting our thumbs up.
AC been working great as of 2 weeks since!
Very reasonable cost for repair.
Would definitely call again for any AC issue!
