Recommended Customer Reviews

I barely do Yelp reviews but came to say that this is THE MOST incompetent company I've ever encountered. I got a quote from them and a few others. They not only confirmed with me 78 times via phone, text, email, but the consultant had the nerve to ask if he could come an hour earlier so I rushed to the house to cater to his request. When he showed up, he was over 20 minutes late. Then, he had the audacity to quote us almost $17k for a system that everyone else quoted us $10k for. Then had the nerve to bring the number down to $9k. So $17k to $9k?? He was basically insulting my intelligence. After he left, I got a text from Melissa who asked about my satisfaction and I told her I was unhappy with the consultation and went with another company. She apologized and said thanks for my time. TWO DAYS LATER, MELISSA TEXTED ME AGAIN ASKING THE SAME QUESTION ABOUT HOW THE CONSULTATION WENT. How in the absolute Hell is this company in business and why does my beloved Costco even outsource them? Jesus.

Ricardo and Will did a superb job. Efficient, neat, knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond my expectations. I hired them last year for a heat pump and was so impressed that I hired them again when my second air conditioner went out. This is a great business. I fully endorse them. Dennis

They charged me $1000 for a $65 condensation pump. Which hailed six weeks later. Charged me additional hundreds of dollars to clean my HVAC ducts and only cleaned half of them. System failed again as they wired the pump with duct tape. 24 hours and not a single returned call. Would really appreciate a phone call from a manager or preferably an owner.

The installers with this company did a good job but the routine service people are incompetent. I working 46 years in Aviation and was certified to troubleshoot and repair all types of environmental systems in high end aircraft. Most use air cycle systems some still use Vapor cycle systems like cars and homes. Every time one of their field technicians came to my house they created some problem and one visit charged me over $800 for items I could buy for under $300 and did not install them properly requiring them to come back out and replace one of the parts. I would find missing screws after they opened a panel and dropped them and didn't bother to retrieve them. Their quality is non existent. I have to babysit them when they show up to be sure they don't break something. I use them because of a maintenance agreement that came with the 2 units I purchased through Costco. I don't buy any parts from them and if I have to pay for a service I use another certified Lennox dealer. I'm glad they don't work in airplanes.

I bought a system from Cool Air last spring, and had been generally happy with them. With the system I got 3 years maintenance. However, I just tried to book my annual maintenance, and I will have to wait three months! So it will be almost fall by the time I'm able to get my systems ready for summer. This is not taking care of your customers, if I had a reasonable way to change companies I would. Very disappointed.

I'm an HVAC technician licenced to work on HVAC and refrigeration equipment. I bought a house with a new AC with their labels on it about two years ago. They put locking caps on my equipment that require a key to remove. I've been in this industry for 6 years and never had them on a unit I worked on. I've called multiple times to have them removed so I can fix my HVAC system but they say they'll send someone out and don't. These caps cost extra to install and only exist to make it difficult for other service providers to work on equipment to force you to pay them for the service calls. It's a scam they run to increase there customer base by forcing you to use them. Do t use this company.

My rental property recently has some clogging issues upstairs Jack & Jill bathroom. After I purchased its maintenance plan, they sent somebody to replace life & turn drain kit and overflow plate. There parts cost less than $90, they charge me $550 plus hourly labor at $510. After the replacement, leaks started, my tenant had to call the plumber back. He could not fix it. Two days later, a supervisor came to finish the job and promise restoration to be done to the water damage due to leaking. They charge me $1100 for putting on air admittance valve. Even other master plumbers don't even know what it is in our area.

They don't honor their warranty. I bought through Costco in 2017/2018 and the warranty included parts and labor on maintenance for 10 years provided I kept the preventative maintenance agreement. I have yet today when Tamir replaced a capacitor he charged me. He also tried to charge me for the visit which was prepaid. Cool Air, Is it so hard to honor the contract you offered and sold me? Costco, I expect better from the service providers you endorse.

I have been a loyal customer for around 10 years, on a maintenance contact. The salesman originally sold me a heat pump system that was not compatibly with the existing Control board, so the heat pump did not work properly, costing me thousands over the years. A simple repair to open and disarm a damper was recently quoted at over $1000, but I got it done for $165. This week my air handler/heat pump went down, I was told that I had a gas leak and that to refill would cost around $1250, plus repairs, even though he did not show me the leak. I had to call them 2 days later to find out what was going on, and was then quoted $3500. I got a second opinion. There was no gas leak, but a faulty two-way valve, that could still be under warranty. I'll have to pay for their labor, but only $650. CAM uses maintenance contracts to get new business, plus 2 services a year for over $400. So no real benefit. My new contract is $250 for the same thing, just better technicians. Is CAM a good company to do business with? I give them 1 star.

I just bought a house that included a transferrable service agreement with Cool Air...They were meant to come twice a year. The previous owners were old. I bought the house from their estate. Upon inspection, it appeared one of the units had not been serviced for years. The others were also somewhat neglected. I called Cool Air. My appointment for 3 days ago was cancelled without notice through a real estate agent though they have my information. I have yet to hear anything about rescheduling. I suspect these prepaid """"service agreements"""" may require more scrutiny by the public service commission, especially when older people are involved.
