Cool Air mechanical came to investigate why outdoor AC unit was not working anymore. Billed technician intervention to provide root cause analysis for $79 . Told me I had to replace compressor, and preferrably the whole unit. I called another company to double check the next day and it turns out the issue was simply a bad capacitator, which costs less than $200. TEN TIMES or FIFTY TIMES less costly than what the [not so] cool air mechanical had diagnosed. I tried to contact coolair mechanical multiple times after they came for an explanation and a refund of $79 but they did not even bother to return my calls or to answer my emails. Bad company. STAY AWAY FROM COOL AIR MECHANICAL.

Cool Air is truly a top notch HVAC company. Extremely fair pricing and very responsive and knowledgable. Steven has been my technician for six years and he is amazing at tracking down and solving any issues that arise. As someone in Residential real estate, Cool Air is my preferred vendor to recommend to my clients as well. The best in town.

I would suggest no one to use this company unless you want very poor service even from the owner. Had 3 systems installed and were faulty . A lot of sneaky work done. Costco should not represent this company in partnership. The owner had terrible customer service skills . The were at fault and I guess he was ashamed and could never say sorry. I would recommend never to use this company for anything.

We purchased our HVAC unit in 2017 after our old unit died over 4th of July weekend. The new unit is excellent. Twice each year we get a maintenance visit to make sure our unit is operating at top efficiency. This morning Valencia came out and provided service, replacing filters, checking the fuses and making certain the outside unit is working properly. She gave me a few suggestions to help extend the life of the unit, and was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I can't say enough positive things about Cool Air Mechanical! Each technician has been top notch. Thanks for the great service!

Our house is 14 years old, and thanks to Cool Air, we've extended the life our units by maintaining them regularly over the past few years. In mid August, our AC stopped blowing cold air so I came home from a trip to a hot house that evening. I called and they were here first thing the next morning to do service that was covered in our maintenance agreement (thank goodness!). We also had the ducts cleaned this year and I could not find any better pricing after much research. Its expensive, so we won't do it as often as suggested. Today, without surprise, our technician Nima provided excellent seasonal service and he was very polished and professional. We recommend this company!

We had a 21-year-old AC system that was running but not cooling during a very hot spell. We were desperate and I was glad this company could come out on the day I called. Unfortunately for us, the technician charged $700 for useless repairs which left us in the same boat: a system that was running but not cooling. Turns out what it needed was a coolant which is no longer obtainable. This should have been explained up front. Upon complaining afterwards I was told they might give me some credit if I would buy a new system from them. But I cannot trust a company that misled us by taking a lot of money for what they euphemistically call a """"partial repair.""""

I had two high end Lennox systems installed in November 2017. One was a replacement for an existing Lennox system furnace and AC compressor. The other was a complete new system and required duct work, etc. They were bought through Costco and cost over $21,000 with incentives. The existing system needed a AC recharge and they recommended replacement. The replacement unit in the master suite did not cool to 70 degrees in an hour after installation. I pointed this out and was assured it was fine. Last summer the unit ran constantly when the outside temperature was in the mid 90 degrees F during the day and never reached 70 degrees. The old system never ran constantly, reached 70 degrees and cut off even a higher outside temperature. The second unit was installed in the basement. I planned to finish part of my basement but haven't yet. This unit has never been run except during maintenance checks. My maintenance service has been with another company. Last month they checked the basement unit and said it was low on refrigerant. I called Cool Air and was told there was no warranty coverage for the leak or repair. When I pointed out it had not been run, I was told I would be charged the same as if the unit had been in operation for the entire 3 year 5 months.. When I asked who I could appeal to I was told they would have management call me. I have not received a call. I signed off on the installs in good faith. They did a reasonable job on time. I understand, the Lennox warranty is 5 years for parts and 1 year for labor. Some other HVAC companies in Atlanta include labor for 5 years on a new install but Cool Air doesn't. However, I feel both of my problems existed at the outset but were not detected until later. I have written this because I have not received a call from management. I have made no effort to contact Costco. I still hope that management will respond.

Steven was on time. Introduced himself and went right to work getting our 3 systems checked and serviced. Will be using them for the next 3 years. Maintenance on 3 systems was very reasonable!

We had cool air mechanic Company Install a new AC and heating system through costco, put in at our house and we regret using them due to bad service technicians and customer service. Service technician H. was unprofessional, rude and had him leave the house cause of it. Service Manager M. was not exactly helpful either. It was just a bad experience and I would not recommend anyone using this company for AC system. We also had air duct cleaned by cool air mech. And it took 45 minutes to clean only 3 ducts ( only output vents). They did nothing special and for $350 dollars I would recommend try using other company who charges half what cool air charges. I will not use cool air duct cleaning service in the future!

I contacted them through Costco. They came to my house and provided estimate for two furnaces and one air conditioner. It was well above competitor. Once I showed them this they were able to come down on the price along with a free duct cleaning. The two workers that installed the systems were excellent: on time, professional, wore PPE. I've had them come back one time because some bedrooms upstairs were hotter than others, almost 10°. I was told it's because we don't have returns in the bedrooms. I agree with this but we didn't have this problem with the old system. I have since closed the ceiling registers in the hot bedrooms and it helped. The duct cleaning was pretty interesting. Two men showed up and explained how things were going to work, they would perform the duct cleaning and then afterwards they would wipe down each ceiling register and cleanup. The first step was blowing compressed air into the return, only around the opening, not deep in. Then one worker went up to the attic where the furnaces were while the other worker chatted with me. After an hour the worker that was in the attic said he was done. I said that was quick. He said yes I was surprised at how clean the ducts were after 26 years of never being cleaned. I asked to see the dirt. He showed me and there was not very much. After they left, I walked around the house: there was dust and dirt under each return and I realized they didn't do any post clean up. Now I wonder the quality of this job especially when I've read cleaning ducts should take 2 to 4 hours. Maybe because it was free, it wasn't a proper job.
