Shame on you!! Cooke's came out to look at my daughter's and son-in-laws tank as it was taking long for the toilets to flush. She meet them with her 2 1/2 year old daughter and 1 1/2 year old son last week. She is one week past her due date with their 3 child. The Cooke's rep quoted her $9,000 and said the drain field had to be replaced. She called us, her parents, hysterical. I gave her 2 other companies and they both gave quotes from $1200-$1400. The job was completed today. I have lived in town since 1983. I used Cooke's for our restaurant in Jensen Beach many times. Sam was a great and honest guy. Shame on you!!! He would roll over in his grave seeing how unethical you have become!! When your estimators are paid commissions it leads to dishonesty!! Shame on you!!! Merry Christmas!

Great service! They arrived quickly and were very respectful of my home, wearing booties on their shoes. They took the time to explain everything and were really nice. I'd use them again for all my plumbing needs.

Cookes should be Crooks. I called yesterday and made a 9 appointment for this morning. They didn't show up until 3. I put new countertops on so I needed a new faucet a new Ro faucet and a new garbage disposal installed. We bought the materials at Home Depot. I was out of town so my wife is home she's Peruvian not real familiar with contracts or understanding business. So they had her sign something she thought she was probably giving him permission to work on our house. I came home my wife left to take my son to drum lessons. He said he couldn't install the RO system because he didn't have the fittings so he said he was going to come back tomorrow and he walked out of the house. So I figured I'd pay him when he came back tomorrow and finish the job. A few minutes later he came back in and he said well who's going to pay me you or your wife , I said it doesn't matter. So then he proceeded to explain to me that the bill was $1,180.00. he was at our house for approximately two and a half to three hours. I said you got to be kidding you're you're kidding me right. He said now I said well I have your own or call me tomorrow cuz I'm not paying you and we'll talk about how installing these three items cost $1,180.00. he told me that he was going to call the police because it was over $1,000 it was a felony for theft of services and he was going to have me arrested and place a lien on my house. I said go ahead and call the police the RO system is laying on the counter not installed the hose won't retract on my new faucet and the garbage disposal does not turn on. And then he was going to charge me more money to come back tomorrow to finish the job so what was it a 2000 3000 for $5,000 job to install a faucet and a garbage disposal? Absolutely insane and crazy and trying to take advantage of a woman who maybe didn't understand English. Beware that's all I got to tell you be where. Oh yeah and the thing they had my wife sign was on a tablet and never sent an email or gave a receipt or any type of proposal to us. Complete thieves

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Worst plumbing company ever. I called them to get an estimate for a drain repair and it ended up costing me thousands of dollars because they said I needed copper pipe, so they replaced all the plumbing. Even after replacing it, there is NO COPPER that I supposedly paid for. I also had them change the bathroom two handle faucet in the shower to a single mix faucet. Guess what? They didn't measure the inside of the wall to see where it needed to be placed inside the wall, so now after tile has been applied, the fixtures are not seated correctly. The plumber was notified and hasn't responded. Even after a quote, they still charge ! more if they run to the store to get more parts! Now have a 1 year warranty against only leaks but not workmanship. I believe they turn a 500 dollar job into thousands of dollar job. Part of it is my mistake for not getting a second opinion. I am retired and had to use my savings

Couldn't get a straight answer on septic pump out. I had them do the last maintenance pump out without any issues including an over-the-phone quote/ballpark. What is the big deal about getting even a ballpark of a maintenance pump out (barring any other issues of course)??? Doesn't seem like the same operation to me. Seemed fishy so I hung up and moved on to calling a different company.

Repair guy came out very quickly, was very courteous, but did not fix the problem. The first time their prices were pretty high for a pump-out and they were pushing hard for an upsell, I spent over $1200 for their """"bacteria"""" and pumpout and cleaning the tank... a few weeks of toilet flushing later and the pump was alarming again. He came out and """"fixed"""" it saying it was just a broken fitting and we might need a new float later on, (noticed later on the invoice that he claims I """"refused"""" this service even though he never actually offered it to me- only told me that I don't need it right now) (he was nice enough not to charge for this 2nd visit even though this was not """"under warranty"""" from the last time he was here and was the one who put the lift station back together :/ ) 36 hours later and our alarm is going off again. I will not be calling them a third time.

Okay, no one likes plumbing issues and when you have issues, you just wanted the toilets fixed ASAP. I get that and I confess I did not do research to find the best company, but in hindsight I wished I had. I caution anyone who needs septic service to read the reviews for Cooke's and then look elsewhere for service. In June 2016, toilets were backing up. We called Cooke's and they came promptly and we signed up for a complete overhaul (pumping, roots cleaned, terralift to the drainage field). The bill was incredibly expensive but I wanted/needed the issue fixed now. Work was done and the issue was fixed. When the technicians left, they assured me the large mounds they left in my yard over the drain field would settle and pack down within a few weeks. Please visualize - the mounds they left looked like I had buried several large bodies in my grass. I waited a couple of months and the massive lumps did not subside. I called the company to complain and was assured they wanted me to be a satisfied customer. They sent technicians to the house (although less promptly this time) who proceed to pound the dirt. This flattened the soil slightly but still left large mounds which by now were covered with weeds and bald grass patches because the mower scalped the area. I was not satisfied. The area will need to be completely renovated at considerable expense with the earth smoothed and re-sodded. I asked Cooke's for compensation to off-set the expense and was told to read the contract. Cooke's is not responsible for damage to landscaping. It's true, the contract does state that, but considering the extent of the damage done and the amount it will cost to have it repaired, Cooke's should be accountable for assisting with the correction of the problem. Considering the amount I paid for the initial service, Cooke's should have done better. I would never use their services again and I would urge anyone who needs septic service to look elsewhere. If you have the terralift done, you need to be prepared for considerable damage that will be the result and for the additional expense required to have your yard repaired.

Had work done on our septic in September including full service. we left nice reviews and thought we were treated right. It's Christmas morning and our septic is backed up. NOT feeling too good about Cookes right now, my wife is a hairdresser, we know lots of people. I hope this is remedied soon. I will let everyone know how this goes. Let's see if they try to charge me for pumping it out again. I suppose getting any of my hard earned money back for the failed work would be out of the question. Monday I will be meeting with the City of Stuart utilities to discuss getting city sewer hook up. I should have listened to others, I wasted my money upgrading my septic with Crooke's. We are using the bathroom at the gas station. Not a happy Christmas, thanks guys !! UPDATE. 12/24/16 A day after Christmas two employees were sent to my house and they pointed out that my drain field was backing up. The $2000 upgrade to my septic back in september didn't solve the problem. I am now begining the lengthy process of warning everyone not to get taken by these people.

Ok, I had high hopes for these guys but that got flushed down the toilet... Called recently for an estimate to pump my tank. All I wanted was an estimate... I have had septic systems for 30 years and it is always $200 to pump them. So I called to get a price on pumping. """"Well, we cant give you a price. we send a guy out to give you an estimate"""" Well, strange but ok. Guy comes out fast, (thats the only good part...) So he digs up the covers and looks at it and tells me, oh yeah your outflow pipe is broken, we can send our guy out to fix it for $450?? Then he says, """"we got a truck on the way to pump this"""" I am like, slow down buddy, you have not given me a price yet. He said, """"hey a pump is a pump"""" so theeeeeeen I got the pricing structure.. To pump my tank their price was $540 !!! He told me I have a 1250 gallon tank, I said no I have a 1050 gal tank and it was inspected when I bought the house and there is nothing wrong with it. Then their pricing went all the way up to about $1500 for alternative plans. So after I told him I needed to think about it, I went on yelp and saw some similar negative reviews. Then it all started to make sense. I spoke to 3 or 4 other people afterwards and they said """"Cookes? oh, yeah, I have heard very similar stories"""" Bottom line is, I ended up calling all county septic, they gave me a price right over the phone of $195 for my 1050 gal tank. Then they even took my $20 internet coupon. They were super to deal with and he said, no there is nothing wrong with our outflow pipe on your tank it looks fine. I am sure the owner will respond defending themselves, but this is not good business practice and for the little old lady, I sure she writes them that big check , luckily, I have been in the home remodeling business for many years and I knew enough to say """"something does not smell right""""...

These guys went above and beyond to help us. We had them come out to do an inspection for a real estate transaction. The price was competitive. The tech showed on time, got right to work and gave me a verbal, then a written report. He recommended some service once we purchased the property but wasn't """"selling"""" at all. But here's the """"above and beyond"""" part: The girl who answered the phone helped me do some research into the history of the system, and was very patient with all my questions, asking other techs when she needed to. But it gets better... today they took some time to help me locate our drain field and saved me a lot of time and money. Great service...
