Dawn M.I've had a service plan since 2012. I've used the service 15 times. Every time that I need to use
my plan, I am offered an appointment 10-12 days out with unreasonable service windows. One window is from 7:30 to when the technicians are for the day, which can be after 7pm. Expecting customers to be home all day for a service appointment is unreasonable. I pay for this service plan and waiting over a week to have issues fixed is unacceptable. Hire more technicians to be able to service clients in 2-3 days. Based on these recurrent scheduling issues, I wI'll no longer be recommending this business to friends and family.
Justin was contacted because my thermastat was actong strange. He arrived early, very
professional friendly and thorough
1 because I can't give 0, I had to take off all appointments off work because it was an all day appointment and all day means anywhere from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm. In what world do these guys assume that they are servicing people without regular jobs and on top of it not even give you your queue number and an estimated time. Definitely switching after this experience, the parent company sucks too, all the money goes into paying good for nothing power point jockeys in that building overlooking the water
On 12-17-2024 an HVAC Service Tech (Mark) came to my home to check on a Heat Pump Wiring Issue. This issue cases the back up emergency heat to run and not the normal heat pump. It came up on a home inspection that there was issue with the Heat Pump. Mark came and marked everything as totally fine. Then left with two wires totally unplugged then sealed back up under the cover, which we didn't find until later (when we needed another company to come out and look at this). They advised it looked to them like someone left these intentionally to get some more work down the line. If you look back through their it looks like there are similar complaints to this this year. I was then told by the service manager, who wouldn't call me, that he wouldn't work with me. I had to call back to ask to speak to a service manager. I spoke with Jerry, who was polite on the phone, although he did think this was my fault for not knowing that his tech didn't properly fix the issue that he said he fixed. I only had another tech come in because of an outrageous BGE Bill, because how am I, who isn't an HVAC tech supposed to be aware he didn't fix the issue if my house is still getting warm by the emergency heat? He then said he would send his tech out to fix it, but why would I want them to come back to my home when they clearly were at the very minimum careless with a very expensive home appliance, if not intentional about leaving wires unplugged to wait for the warranty to expire?
Overall, all I asked was for them to cover the repair, which should have been found/fixed/covered in the first place when the tech came out on 12/17/25.
I am unaware of ever having signed up with Constellation Home. The first communication from them was a bill with several months' charges. Phone calls to them result in chains of transfers to people who cannot deal with the problem or ""I cannot cancel your contract but I will transfer you to someone who can"" but the next person says the same thing. This is a scam.
Do not purchase the Constellation Home Energy Warranty Plan; it's a scam. I had the Home Energy Warranty Plan for my furnace, AC, and water heater. My furnace needed a new motor and wheel, and instead of replacing these parts, Constellation Home ghosted me. They ignored my phone calls and outright lied to me when I could get someone on the phone. I could not get a straight answer from the customer service or the Parts Department for over a week. All customer service would say is that they ""understood my frustration and were sorry for my inconvenience."" I have been without heat in my home for over a week and the temperatures are below 20 degrees. Constellation Home Energy had NO INTENTION OF REPLACING THE PARTS IN MY FURNACE. It's a total and utter scam and duped customers should file a complaint with the State of Maryland's Office of Attorney General.
I have been a customer of Constellation Home , previously associated with BGE for 20 yrs without incident. Since their recent separation they have become a pain with their billing. I strongly do not recommend this company to anyone.
I was a customer of Constellation Home and cancelled my
policy effective February 1, 2021. I recently received a paper
from Constellation Home saying that I owed them two
months of home warranty service. I pulled up my BGE
account and realized that Constellation Home has been
billing me for service ever since I cancelled. I have
confirmed that my account notes do show that I cancelled
service. Now, I would like a refund for the payments
deducted from my bank account since February 1, 2021. I
have called 11/4, twice on 11/7, 11/11, 11/14, 11/22 and now
today, which is 11/24. Each time, I am given false promises of call backs.
Website terrible, account linked to someone else. Customer rep says "" don't worry"" .
Keeps interrupting. Issue not resolved.
No link to cancel service
I PRAY FOR YOUR COMPANY DOWNFALL
During COVID, I requested assistance from a company with whom I had about a 7-year contract to service the heating unit in my rental property. They sent subcontractors, who not only broke the unit but also left live wires exposed and damaged the building's breaker. Without notifying me or my tenant, they left the property, forcing me to hire another company to fix the issue. This new company informed me of the extensive damages, which resulted in approximately $14,000 in repairs.
Initially, I tried to resolve the matter with the manager, Darren Robinson, asking for reimbursement for the losses I incurred as a loyal customer. Unfortunately, I was met with appalling treatment--he even hung up on me. Despite years of waiting, a court trial, and numerous attempts to obtain a copy of the contract I signed (which they could never produce), I was awarded less than a third of the repair costs.
This incident triggered a series of unfortunate events, leading to the loss of the property I inherited from my father, who worked as a janitor for 60 years to secure it. The rental income helped support my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's.
To Darren Robinson, Constellation Energy, and their attorney: I pray one day you may find yourself needing help to stay afloat, and I pray that God shows you the same grace you extended to me--none.
