After several times ordering parts I could understand why it was difficult to troubleshoot the first time. BGE Home was very understanding and made all efforts to speed up the process. I still have three contract's with BGE and intend on keeping them. Very happy with outcome
Christina L.The customer portal continues to be useless. I was only successfully able to log in once, and was rewarded with misinformation about my account status. Since then every time I attempt to log in, the site says my browser ""seems to have cookies disabled,"" no matter which browser I use, none of which have cookies disabled. I called customer support and was told the problem must be on my end and tech support does not exist. Really?
I've used BGE for a new water heater a few years ago for my rental property and they were reasonable and quickly installed a new gas heater on a weekend. I recently had to replace my old leaky water heater in my home, so I used BGE again, which is now Constellation Home and my experience was great especially when I was dealing with my useless home warranty (AHS). BGE scheduled me quickly for a new water heater and the techs were courteous, honest and professional. Customer service was also top-notch with Tiffany my rep, who kindly dealt with my frustrating home warranty so that I could get reimbursed. I highly recommend this company. Thanks BGE for a job well done!
Sequence of events - thanks for listening!
7/19/2022: I used the ""pay as guest"" feature on the customer portal to pay the bill due 8/4/2022.
8/16/22: I used the ""pay as guest"" feature on the customer portal to pay the bill due 9/4/2022.
8/30/2022: I received a statement dated 8/9/2022 indicating I had a past due balance. I called the phone number on the statement and spoke to Teresa. She explained both the 7/19 and 8/16 payments had been mis-applied and that she was correcting.
9/20/2022: I received a statement dated 9/9/2022 indicating I had an even larger past due balance, plus a $27.19 late fee. I called and spoke to Lindy, referencing my 8/30 conversation with Teresa. Lindy indicated that, despite what Teresa had told me the payments were not applied until 9/10. Lindy indicated she did not see any outstanding balance, or late fee due.
After the call I logged into the customer portal to see it still shows a past due balance, plus the $27.19 late fee. Since calls were not leading to resolution, I used the chat option on the customer portal and reached Dawnn J. She explained the customer portal has not been updated since the 9/9 statement was produced. She said from her end she sees no balance due except $27.19. When I advised that is the late fee I should not have incurred, she said she'd submit a request to have it waived.
Hasn't BGE Home been around long enough to have a functional accounting and reporting system in place?
K. S.Constellation Home, formerly BGE Home --- worse experience ever. Pay good money each month to cover all appliances. Had an emergency leak from my refrigerator that caused a flood from kitchen to basement. Constant water. Did not know how to stop it myself. Called for service, tried to schedule me out TWO WEEKS, then corrected for the next day. I pleaded to the rep, explaining this was an emergency. Said they'd put me on ""wait list"". This was 3pm, signed up for text notifications, I heard NOTHING. Literally left hanging. Got a friend to eventually come over to stop the water (they were working and came in the evening). By then, wood saturated, items ruined in basement. Had to buy a dehumidifier, etc. etc. I had to call MULTIPLE times to try to get help, try to get some indication that someone was coming! I never got a single text notification until over 27 HOURS AFTER my first call for help. Constellation Home's business model SUCKS; when they tell a person they have an appointment, they say it could be anywhere from opening of business to close...which can be, according to the rep, 9 or 10 o'clock at night!
Absolutely incompetent and idiotic. By the way, when the plumber arrived 28 HOURS LATER, he assessed the issue to be a pin hole in the line to the ice maker. And guess what?...our insurance/coverage does not cover the ice maker line. Hahaaa..... OF COURSE IT DOESN'T. But, because we have paid through the nose (for years) for this ""coverage,"" they gave us 15% off. So, to replace the compressor and gent another tube line in (in copper, for ""liability reasons,"" according to the plumber), it came out to a whopping $385.50! WITH THE DISCOUNT. I will be re-evaluating my need for this rip-off scam of ""protection and coverage."" I need to FIRE Constellation Home and hire someone else for my appliance needs. I was prisoner in my house for two days waiting for them to show up. Next time, I'll just pay for a same-day plumber. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!
I am reviewing the BGEHOME Home Service Plan. My customer experience with this services has been horrible and I would give 0 stars if I could. First, I tried to call for services a few times and they would always have appointment two weeks away. Normally, when you call for these services, you need them right away. So I had to end calling a service and paying anyway.
I have been trying to cancel the service for months. Every time I call, they place me on hold for hours. I end up hanging up. I tried the website, but there is no way to cancel on their page. They do have the ability to pay, but not to cancel. Finally, today I tried to cancel via the website chat, just to find out they instructed me to call to cancel. This is extremely frustrating. They continue to bill me and there is no way I can cancel. Do not use this service!
I appreciate when a company corrects returnscalls and rectify a situation. This is what BGE home did. I am posting this to let others know I was able to get my issue resolved
Rosa L.Now that they have changed to Constellation home they are horrible! We got a bill today from 2015!!!!! How is this possible?!
Wouldn't I have seen a charge every month since 2015?! This is how they treat long time customers.
They also sent a bill to a house we don't even own anymore and we canceled the policy for. We set up need ones at the new house. Again that's been over a year since we canceled those.
I sat on hold for an HOUR trying to talk to someone in billing.
They sent my issues to someone and he was supposed to call me back. It's been two days and NO call back.
I don't know what's going on with this company but I think it's time to cancel for good. I'm so frustrated. We have been customers for so long and up until a few years ago had good service and no issues. I started to notice some issues in the last few years (longer wait times longer to get appts) but thought they would resolve themselves. Seems they have gotten a million times worse.
Worst customer service. It takes several weeks to have the technician coming to your home, several visits to ""repair"" or ""fix"" the problem, and several technicians are very rude, look tired and complain about the company too. I had total home policy, and these issues were seen across the different services (plumbing, appliances, AC). Nothing changed after several complains. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company at all.
The beginning of the end: Had to have 3 HVAC service calls for an issue (gurgling noise when unit is on) that started after a yearly inspection. The first two technicians were friendly yet ineffective and the last one was patronizing. Issue never resolved until a year later...it has finally stopped on its own (or is going to break any minute).
My mother paid years to have their maintenance plan thinking they were affiliated Baltimore Gas and Electric Company... They are not! When I had to start dealing with them, I noticed each tech told me something different in regards to maintenance issues. When the AC did break, it took them 2 weeks to repair it in the dead of summer. Anyhow, I cancelled the plan and won't be using them again.
