Stan C.This place seemed like a great place to work. However, after interviews, they gas you up and the fail to respond on status. Highly unprofessional and a waste of time.
Unfortunately, another customer experience that warrants 0 stars but Yelp will not allow this.
1. Tech came out over a week ago, said they didn't have part to fix AC. Said they'd call back to schedule when they had it.
2. Multiple automated calls to schedule. When you call them back, you will wait at least 30-45 minutes to get a person on the phone.
3. Service was scheduled but 1st available appointment was week later.
4. If you miss the call the day of your visit, THEY CANCEL appointment. That's right...you miss the call, you call back 2 minutes later (I was on the other line) then you start over from scratch and get next available appointment a week or 2 or whenever they feel like servicing you.
This was my 1st experience with this company and has been a nightmare.
Then the billing issue. We signed up for a promotional trial for $1 for 1st 3 months. They billed us the full rate for the service. When you call billing, during the limited hours they are available, you will have to wait 30-45 minutes. If you get someone, you will get put on hold, disconnected and you can start the merry go round again.
I do not know how this company has any positive reviews. This has been pure garbage to date & I'd recommend folks STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS FIRM!

I am totally in shock right now. I have had my BGE home contract for 8+ years - I have never used it. Well my AC stops working and I call to make an appointment for them to inspect my unit. When the technician gets to my house I tell him its the unit upstairs so he says Oh I will be right back. He returns to tell me that is not part of my policy! I really didn't understand what he was stating....I have full home coverage. He proceeds to tell me that only covers 1 unit and we default it to the first floor unit. I was in total dis-belief and went to get my bill and he still says that only covers one unit. He says to cover 2 units its an additional fee. I explain to him that when I signed up I wanted to cover my AC and that is what it states. No one ever asked me if I had 2 units. Why would I pick to cover 1 and not the other??? and only for an additional nominal fee. That just doesn't make sense. That's like getting 4 new tires and saying well I only want the warranty on the front tires. No one in their right mind would do this. I refuse to pay the $100 for the first 15 minutes and additional $$$ for him to inspect my unit. I have never used the service in over 8 years and this is obviously a problem with customer service that they would sell me the contract but not ask the appropriate questions. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told they were busy and that someone would call me back. That was yesterday and I am still waiting. At this point I still need my AC fixed and I am not sure why as a loyal customer they would not work with me to get this fixed. I am holding on for some type of compromise if I ever get a call back.
The worst service! No one is available for weeks. We have only called twice and each time it has been beyond unsatisfactory. The phone representatives are rude and there are no service technicians. We have had to resort to calling other reputable service providers. This is fraudulent scam not a home services provider
John D.They did not show up for a scheduled service appointment. I took the day off from work to be home. They wasted my time and will not get another chance.
The BGE home energy audit is a scam. We spent 3 hours with a contractor who walked around our house and assured us we'd get a detailed written assessment of the places where we were losing energy. Three weeks later, a BGE salesman came over with a review that said we could save a lot of heat if BGE insulated our attic at a cost of 15K. When we pointed out that any idiot knows that hot air rises and that we were waiting for a report on our entire house, he said he'd contact the contractor about getting us one. They've never come through with the written energy audit so we certainly aren't going to take them up on their super-high bid to insulate our attic. What a rip off.
My tech Wardell J was great, he was professional and really did a thorough diagnostic and fixed the problem.
We wait days/ weeks for a repair person to come to house. Then several more weeks for part they order to be in. Repairs are always long drawn out waiting periods and time off work for hearing the same ""we have to order the part"" . Two months for ice maker in frig and still waiting.
My water heater tank is broke so i call bge home for a quote and after 10 mins they call me and give me aprice for it its a decent price and they schedule me the same day after 4 hours they fix it and change my tank and it's a wonderful experience the technician is so polite and check this out i call them at 9am by 1 pm its all done fast and wonderful this is my first time using bge home services and its not going to be the last.....
