Andrew C.Massively over priced. Job worked out to be $228 per hour plus 150$ for materials and that's being generous. Would not recommend to anyone. Didn't even say thank you at the end of the job. Terrible.
RUN...RUN...RUN. Home Advisor suggested two plumbing firms and one was Confidence Plumbing. I saw RED FLAGS, but I did not follow my instincts as the yard was flooding. First they were able to come over almost immediately and two an isolation test was suggested at the staggering and overinflated price of $2,500. As I was heading to the computer to research what an isolation test was, Paul Ojeda the master plumber called me to say he may not have explained what the test was. I should have stopped there. My mistake. In the end I was quoted $4,500 job that was not completed and there was no water in the downstairs bathroom. Next he wanted to run pipes through the attic to correct the problem at an additional cost. I have hired a new plumber to finish the job and have reported Paul Ojeda to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, Home Advisors, Citysearch, YELP and Austin AARP. As a senior and a female I resent being taken advantage of. One wonders what possesses someone to price gouge and take advantage of nice people. Where are the ethics? Waiting to find out from a reliable plumber what the job should have cost. Additionally, Paul caused me personal pain and suffering, raised my blood pressure, ruined my weekend due to an unfinished job, and did the same to my husband who fortunately was able to knock the price down to an overinflated $2,500. NOT RECOMMENDED. Update: price to have the leak repaired by a competent plumber--$400.
Mallory F.They were on time, courteous, and got the job done in an efficient amount of time. We had a tub that wouldn't drain and a kitchen faucet we wanted replaced. Very happy, will call them with any future needs we may have.
You can search the world far and wide, and you will never find a plumbing company as good as Confidence Plumbing. My water heater was 30 years old (seriously) and still going strong, but I didn't want to push my luck. After having one company come out and give me a $2300 bid to replace it and bring it up to code, I called Confidence. They came out, gave me an $1100 bid (for the exact same thing), and got it done before lunch the same day. Plus, they gave me a top of the line model, rather than some piece of junk from Lowe's or Home Depot. Paul and Gabriel were so professional and efficient - they cleaned up after themselves, hauled my old water heater away, cleaned my faucet caps (since there had been some air coming out after the water was turned back on), hosed down my porch where some sediment from the old model had fallen, and Paul walked me through step by step on how to use my new water heater.
You better believe that I will be using them for any plumbing issues that come up in the future. I have full faith in them and their work!
OK...my faith in humankind has been restored...and Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus...about 10 o'clock this morning, our hot water heater busted and we had about an inch and a half of standing water in our kitchen and utility room ...instead of using my wonderful mechanical expertise, I thought better to yelp.com for a plumber. After about six no answers or no one available, I struck pay dirt with two wise men from the south side (Paul and Bobby from Confidence)...they were just finishing up an early morning job and about to call it quits for the holiday but, (after a short, muffled conversation) they agreed to help us out. They obtained a new 40 gallon water heater, installed it and brought my house up to code within the next couple of hours. Crisis averted and Christmas is saved thanks to these generous and giving gentlemen. The two biggest hearts in Texas stood in my utility closet for two hours on Christmas Eve while their wives were blowing up their phones and I thank the Big Guy for sending these angels to me. Merry Christmas to all!!! PS. If you are wondering about cost (because I wasn't...not with family due here tomorrow) these guys showed me an invoice from a job they did yesterday with the same exact specs...and that's what they charged me...no holiday rates...nothing. Like I said...angels from heaven!
Very impressed with the customer service I received from Paul. He was courteous, fast and got the job done right. My landlord made me go 4 days without water so when I told Paul my urgency he got it taken care of immediately. Thank you Paul & Confidence Plumbing for taking a horrible situation and turning it around for me and my family. Kudos
Had a great experience with Paul from Confidence Plumbing when purchasing and installing our water heater. I ran across them elsewhere online and filled out a form with no expectation of a prompt response. I got a call a half hour later asking if I was available for them to stop in, see what I needed, and put in a bid. I ended up accepting their bid and Paul was able to come back the next day (today) and do the full install for a competitive price.
He was friendly and thorough, making sure I understood what they needed to do to make up for the previous water heater's poor installation, as well as detailing how the new model worked, and all they had done to bring it up to code - allowing me to check the workmanship, which I was very satisfied with. He's even coming back in a few days once the gas company's been by and turned the gas on to make sure all's well.
I would highly recommend Paul from Confidence Plumbing.
We were very impressed with Paul from Confidence Plumbing. He was friendly, courteous and professional and disconnected and reconnnected our faucet when we were replacing our countertops. He even suggested parts we could buy for the reconnect to save ourselves money. We would absolutely call him again.
I used Confidence Plumbing several years ago to fix a shower that made knocking noises. I was told that the tile had to be busted open and the wall behind the shower also opened. I said yes, assuming this would be a long term fix. They replaced the hardware for the knobs as agreed upon, but not the shower head, and I am not sure why. The job only took them a day but they left behind a MESS and a shower that I could not use. A month later, I had it retiled and drywalled. I thought, at least this is a closed issue. Now, only three years later, there is something severely wrong with my shower and has been traced back to this job and the cheap hardware they used. I spent almost a thousand dollars to fix this and we have to do it again only three years later. SUCKS.
I thought I needed a new hot water heater, but the Master Plumber found ways to make the old one as good as new. I saved at least $1800. They were prompt, very nice, and checked back the following day to make sure I had hot water. I will always call them first!
