I gave them one star because they answered the phone.... well, kinda. Sun Devil Plumbing had done some work for my mother in the past and I found their card over at my Mom's house, so I called them for help with a toilet that was leaking. REALLY leaking - 3 soaked towels worth and more towels needed. I called the number on the card and they answered ""Collins"" something or other - couldn't really understand what they guy was saying, but it was very apparent that the guy didn't say ""Sun Devil Plumbing"" when he answered the phone. I said, ""Oh, I'm sorry... I must have dialed the wrong number - I was trying to reach Sun Devil Plumbing"". The guy on the phone said something along the lines that it was the right number and that he could get someone to call me back - really not totally sure what he said since I only understood about every 5th word. About 15 minutes later, my phone rang and it was some man named Robert (I think - not sure since the conversation didn't go well from my perspective and it was a little upset with the small river in my mother's bathroom). Robert said he was from - actually not sure what he said since I couldn't understand him, but ended up hearing the word ""Collins"", so I guessed he was from the plumbing company I called earlier. Robert had a very very very limited amount of patience (to say the least) and to make a long story short, when I told him I thought the leak was coming from the toilet tank, he said, ""Drain the tank, then the leak'll stop"". ... .... .... Really, Einstein????? Did you graduate at the top of your class? Ummmmm, so once I drain the tank, what's next? Did you want a plumbing job to actually repair the leak? No?? Cool because I sure won't be asking for your help again.

I don't know where to start. Imagine your most ridiculous customer service nightmare and then times that by 10. You'd start to get close the experiences I've had with this unethical, unprofessional ""business"". I am only forced to continue dealing with them due to their contract with a home warranty company. Save your $$ and your time & go elsewhere.

generally like this company, but today i felt i was overcharged. Had a slow drain on a bathroom sink. He had it fixed in under 15 minutes, it didn't require any parts (just labor), and after my 10% discount I still ended up paying over $100 for 15 minutes of labor. It seemed excessive.

One morning neither shower in my house would drain in less than about 10 minutes and each toilet was clogged. We called the normal plumber that our landlord uses but for some reason they directed us to Sun Devil Plumbing. We were quoted $133 for the job. I had never used a plumber before because I had always been in apartments, so I had no idea if this was a normal price or not. My roommate's boyfriend was at the house when the guy came, said he was in and out pretty fast, said something about how the guy told him it might be a good idea to get on the roof, but then said he was too lazy, or something along those lines. The boyfriend told us everything was fixed though, we got the bill for $133, thought we were good. We told the landlord about it and he said that we completely got ripped off and that was way too much to pay for that issue, but hopefully it would at least last. Here we are probably about a week later and we already have the same exact issue. So not only has every single person we have talked to, including the owner of the house, told us we were overcharged, but the job didn't even last two weeks. I've thought about calling, but it seems like if you call they are just going to defend their plumber and charge you again to come fix it. I don't really care what the reason or excuse is, as a customer there is no reason in my mind that we should have the same problem this soon after. A few months maybe, but not this soon. Needless to say I'll be calling a different plumber to fix the problem we already paid $133 for.

I would rate 0 stars if I could. We called Sun Devil Plumbing to help find where the milew/musty smell is coming from our kitchen sink area. The guy arrived (within a 4 hour window....how ridiculous is that), we told him what we did and he said 'that's what I would do'. We asked him to check things out. He took a 2 second look and said it all looks fine. We also asked him to look at our faucet, which he didn't do.
He charged me $99 for the visit and $8 for gas. Heck, our house is just a few minutes from their office. So now, after $107, I am no better off than I was before they arrived. Now I have to call a 'real plumber' to help find and fix this problem.

I'm certainly not dazzled by the service. They give you 4 hour windows to show up at your house. My issue is still not resolved after 3 scheduled appointments in one week. Each time they show up at the back end of the 4 hours or later than the 4 hours, and in 3 consecutive visits they have forgotten/not had the right part so they have been unable to fix it. Each time I waste at least 4 hours of my life, not to mention I took half a day off of work to be here for one of the occasions. I have no idea how their handiwork is because they have yet to DO anything but so far the experience has not been great.

Great service. Professional and prompt technician. They arrived as scheduled and charged LESS than quoted. I will highly recommend them to my friends & family.

I had the same bad experience with Sun Devil Plumbing as the first reviewer, Joe B. I also went through my home warranty company to request service. My first appointment was scheduled between 1 and 4. The tech showed up at 3:55 and didn't bother to call first, either. No repairs were made; he said he needed authorization from Service One. Another appointment was scheduled for the repairs today, between 10 and 1. I received a call from Sun Devil Plumbing at 12:30 saying the tech was running 30-45 min. late and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Since I had been waiting since 10 AM. I figured I might as well wait a little longer, which should have been no later than 1:45. At 2:00 I called their office again to see where he was and they said he was on his way and would be at my house by 2:15. The guy never showed and I called to cancel the appointment. Heck, if they can't even show up when they are supposed to, how good are their repairs?! I wasted 2 days and still don't have my simple repairs completed. WORST customer service ever from Sun Devil Plumbing!!!

Short and sweet...this company is awesome! I've used them several times and everytime they are abled to get you scheduled quickly and show up on time. They are professional and knowledgeable! I work with a lot of contractors and this one stands out as one of the best. Two techs in particular are fabulous, Brian and Travis!

Unfortunatley for me, my home warranty service sent me to this company. Their customer service is absolutley horrendous. They never call when they say they will. They always show up at the end of the 4-hour window they give you. And everything takes much MUCH longer than it should. Imagine have a leak in your house and having to wait a week and half to get it fixed. How these people stay in business is beyond me.
By the way, given the crappy service I received, I was able to get the insurance company to give a cash out on the estimate provided by these jokers. I was able to get another plumber to come in, assess the situation, and fix the leak the very next day instead of waiting for four more days for Sun Devil to possibly get back around to me. Did I mention the other plumber charged about 50% less? Yep! 50% cheaper and four days sooner!
