Wow! I was super impressed with Coastal Plumbing from start to finish. I called on a Monday morning, and 3 friendly guys (Zach, Mariano, Brandon) came out Wednesday and finished the job before noon. We had to reroute a hot water line and they ran everything by me prior to doing any work and gave me options. They were punctual, communicative, efficient, and worked hard to complete the job. Our previous plumber was rude, defensive, late (or too early), and overcharged.

Thanks Eric and Kip for coming out and fixing a crack in the main line at my complex underneath a severely overgrown bird of paradise plant.

Nobody wanted to get involved with this job because of the massive bird of paradise. After getting several 'no's' from ASAP plumbing and others, Coastal Plumbing stepped into a bad situation and made things right.

I called my normal plumber and they were unavailable to come out for an emergency leak in my shower in which the cartridge needed to be changed out so I called Coastal Plumbing... I should have waited for my plumber. They sent out Joesph and he was able to replace one cartridge without a problem in 10 minutes. The second cartridge was a little more difficult and after 45 minutes of messing with it, I told him to just replace the valve. He continued trying to get the old cartridge out for another 4 hours before he met with success, even after I told him to just replace the entire valve because it would be cheaper for me. When he was done, he said he would take an hour off my bill. He then volunteered that he couldn't fix the water pressure although he tried... There was nothing wrong with the water pressure. I'm not sure if I was being scammed or if the plumber they sent was really that incompetent... either way, I will not be calling or recommending Coastal Plumbing to anyone after this experience.

Listen...I know it's not easy to locate a leak sometimes. Not all house plumbing is the same. I called them after a local long time Vistonian referred me. I also know everyone is super busy, but they came out as soon as they could. The first tech couldn't find it; he escalated it to another who upgraded some items I requested and still a leak. Then, he escalated to Kip.

Kip came out, and I could tell he tried all the tricks and finally stopped the leak. Although more work needs to be done, the leak has stopped, and that was my #1 priority.

We're planning on what needs to happen to work around the structure of my house to get cold water again to the Master BA sinks. That's not a big deal, in my opinion , not to have that water for now.

Anyway, I appreciate these guys. All are friendly and doing their best in a tricky repair situation.

I came home a few days ago to find part of my home flooded due to a clogged exterior drainage pipe; sadly, this was not the first time this had happened.  Our property manager contacted Coastal Plumbing, and Daniel A. got busy clearing the blockages from the pipes. He made sure that the water was flowing as it should before he left, which I very much appreciated. Daniel was respectful of my home and was cordial and professional. I will definitely keep Coastal Plumbing's card, in case I need a good plumbing service in the future!

Contacted Coastal who we have used previously and spoke with Kip, the owner, about replacing 2 toilets. Told him what features we were looking for and he recommended Toto.
His employee arrived as scheduled and removed 2 old toilets and installed the new ones.
We can't believe the difference. Quiet, and minimal water use. We got the chair height and that extra inch or two is great!
His employee was masked and respected our home, cleaned up everything before leaving.

Back in January, I started smelling propane and wondered if I had a leak. I called Coastal Plumbing and spoke with David Berber and explained the problem. He was able to come out the next day to assess the situation. I had a leak at the propane tank and in the line. He fully explained what was needed to be done to repair and was able to start the work immediately. I appreciated his promptness since the propane is mainly used for heat. Daniel also assisted with the repairs. David and Daniel worked with the propane company to have repairs completed in time for the new propane tank to be placed. Work was done in a professional and timely manner. The final cost matched the estimate they gave me. Extra bonus my propane usage has went down significantly over the last few months. Kudos to David and Daniel for doing exceptional work.

This is the 2nd time we used Coastal Plumbing. Kip helped us with our bathroom remodel and did a great job on our plumbing for the new shower. Most recently I had an emergency hot water heater leak and called Kip and Michell and they responded promptly and did a great job. They were very honest in telling me what I did need and did not need done. I would definitely recommend this company for any plumbing needs. Jeff - Carlsbad
